I love this place. It’s cozy and comfy. I stayed at the cottage a week during December. The weather was quite nice during the day and my wife and I rode down to the beach and chilled on the sand. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed with a full kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen at the cottage was roomy and there were plenty of utensils and other necessities to cook with when we were dinning in. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children.

I was in LA for business and looking to stay somewhere nice with parking instead of a hotel. I found the Zen Cottages and fell in love with it. The cottage is beautiful and the outdoor garden was lovely. The owners were great and provided accurate directions. Bikes are provided along with locks and helmets – a big plus in Venice. I decided to stay an extra few days just to really enjoy the area and ride the bike down to Abbot Kinney, which is close enough to walk to as well. If you’ve never been to Abbot Kinney I can guarantee that you will find some amazing restaurants to eat at. I also rode the bike to the beach. My experience is that you want to stay somewhere not so close to the crazy boardwalk, but close enough to get there easily. I will definitely stay here again next time I’m in town.
Recommended for:Age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children.

Upon arriving at this rental, I was a bit skeptical regarding some issues and w/o much luck, wasn't able to verbally speak with the owner. Instructions of where to park the car were a bit sketchy which resulted in a confrontation with another guest. I literally had to figure these issues out on my own. The property is very prestine and the garden very peacefully. The convenience of having laundry, beach cruisers was awesome. There is so much to see in Venice Beach and having those cruisers to see everything was an amazing part of our trip. The cottage itself was very nice and clean. If you plan on using the kitchen to cook in, you might want to bring your own utensils as the plastic ones were either melted, broken or dirty. Other than the little minor details, this was a great trip and location and would recommend it.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, pet owners, sightseeing, families with young children.

My husband I have stayed at many VRBO properties and have had many good experiences but our time at this really adorable cottage was one of our greatest experiences! It shares a serene and meticulously kept garden with two other cottages. The inside is comfortably and delightfully appointed and provided us with every possible need. We will return here whenever we are in the Southern California area!
