We have rented this home twice and have enjoyed our stay both times. The bedrooms are quite large and roomy. The kitchen is small, but the living room area is spacious enough to suit our group. The property is clean. The owners are onsite and very accommodating. They do not provide towels, but that was not a problem because we knew in advance to bring out own. We would recommend this property to others who have a large family or group of friends. We look forward to renting again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

Don't let the main image fool you. The big beautiful windows upstairs is where the owner resides. The only thing going for this place is the AMPLE sleeping arrangements, our party of 14 can attest to this during our recent stay. What we found with a party of this size is that there was no dining area to speak of, one long bench had to make do. The kitchen was a tiny room with no window and sleeping arrangements off of it. No fire alarms, and what was more alarming is that half of the windows on the ground floor were boarded up - serious fire hazard! There is a large seating area surrounding a very large tv, with rug that overlays concrete - and scattered pillows. Just a very awkward setting to say the least. There is also a very strong fragrance smell throughout, not great if your allergic. There is also a room outside that is for your outdoor gear and heaters to dry your wet clothing, this did not work. This was a last minute rental for us as our original plans had changed... next time, we'll do more research. Not worth the money, very disappointing.Owner response: It is very unfortunate to see unsatisfied customers. Last minute booking can be hard for groups that desire more luxury than we can offer. We are sorry that you could not review our listing in more detail prior to your arrival. There are pictures of the kitchen, which shows the size and the table. We understand it is small but we do not advertise anything else. As per the wooden panels on our ground floor windows - they are to protect the glass from cracking from snow pressure. The house is at 4,000 ft where the snow level often reaches beyond the height of the windows and thus, protection is needed. We were assured by the local fire department that it is not a fire hazard. The TV room is actually very much liked by our guests, especially those who bring children. We do have fragrance plug ins in the TV room area, which can be taken out with ease. The ski room has boot dryers that work perfectly fine. We would have been happy to assist you wit their proper use. It is sad that nobody from your group acknowledged us about your unhappiness while you were here. We are sorry you could not keep your original plans and were disappointed with the accommodations that member of your group booked just few hours prior to your arrival.

We had a great time in Government Camp and this lodge was the perfectly located just 6 miles from Timberline. It was a very efficient design, comfortable and had a parking right by the door. Everything we needed was right there. The owners were nice and helpful. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a place close to ski resorts and town.Recommended for: Adventure seekers.
