The Venice Zen Cottages are 1 bedroom/1 bathroom cottages with living space that flows into a large and tranquil garden. The Ariya Cottage has been refurbished to it's original 1920's style with a spacious, bright and airy feeling.
Located in the quaint and desirable neighborhood – The Venice Walk Street - the cottage is a 5 minute walk to trendy Abbot Kinney and a 10 minute bike ride to the boardwalk and Venice Canals.

My daughter and I stayed at "Ariya" Venice Zen Cottage for two nights while visiting Venice/LA. The cottage was exactly as pictured and described: charming, clean, and well appointed with a GORGEOUS garden! We will definitely be back in warmer weather to sit outside for a day or two! The cottage has a small kitchen with plenty of housewares to cook at home, and the bed and pull-out sofa were both very comfortable. The other cottages were occupied while we were there; but the setting was still serene and quiet. The central location was very convenient to shopping and restaurants in Venice and Santa Monica, and Abbot Kinney (AWESOME street for shopping and dining) is a 5-minute drive away. The enclosed parking spot provided was convenient and secure. Owner, Devin, was VERY helpful in providing directions and how to enter the cottage. We left several belongings behind after departing at 4AM for LAX--including about $500 worth of costume jewelry. I contacted Devin by email to ask her if she found the items. She found them and mailed them back to my home the same day! WAY above the "call of duty"! We will definitely return to the Venice Zen Cottages on our next rrip to the area.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

This was a wonderful cottage and location. It was close to everything, with a wonderful garden and beautiful landscaping. The hanging lanterns in the trees were especially neat. We never heard or noticed any other guests in the second cottage, and the parking space was definitely appreciated. The cottage was roomy and clean. Excellent stay, and we will definitely be back. Owner was also very accommodating and helpful with suggestions and baby equipment.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, tourists without a car.
