2 couples of us did not know what to expect, first time in Rome, this was the most excellent place ever,every thing was so clean and nice, safety measures were every where,we were so close to everything,we were able to walk everywhere, and that's saying a lot for 2 couples both celebrating our 52 wedding anniversarys, would stay their again in a heartbeat,the owner was so helpfully and friendly, we will be spreading the word to our friends and children who will be visiting someday about this apartment.

Great location just a few blocks from the forum and coliseum. Everything was as advertised. Note that Italy has an issue with paper towels and Kleenex. There usually isn't any of either. If you arrive by taxi, make sure you check the cost before the trip.

The apartment location perfect, only two blocks to both the Colosseum and Forum. We found great shops and restaurants within walking distance from the apartment as well as a metro station 5 mintues away. The apartment was very clean, secure and in a quiet location. The bedroom was a nice size and the bathroom was clean and bright. The kitchen was great to cook a few meals with a dinning table to enjoy it. We loved the outdoor patio area to sit back and have a glass of wine after a long day exploring all the Rome had to offer. The TV was limited with channel options but whom needs to watch TV while on vacation in Rome, but access to CNN or the BBC would have been nice. The free internet access was good to have. The owner, Andrea, greeted us on arrival to the apartment, gave us a quick tour of the complex as well as sat us down with a map and took the time to explain the various sites and tricks about Rome, which was very helpful and welcomed. Andrea also arranged airport transportation to and from the apartment which as a amazing bonus. There is a small grocery store across the street as well as a cafe. We did find a great restaurant called "Tempio Di Mecenate Ristorante" which is a 10 minute walk from the apartment we recommend to try. We would recommend the Green Apartments to others that are planning a trip to Rome

Comfortable and friendly stay near the Colosseum

The green apartments are well located only two blocks from the Colosseum and in easy walking distance of many attractions in the southern half of Rome. The rooms were very clean with modern furniture and the apartment was very secure. Each bedroom has it's own bathroom, making it ideal for 2 couples, (or our family with 3 daughters!). The rooms were serviced on a daily basis by friendly staff. In particular, Andrea (the manager/owner?) was very friendly, always willing to help and is fluent in english. On our arrival he gave us a map of Rome, and sat down with us to give us lots of helpful advice on sight seeing and restaurants, etc. He arranged transport for us and was always available to contact by phone. Free wi-fi was available.

Even more than we hoped for

We chose to stay at Green Apartments because it was conveniently located - walking distance to everywhere - 300 meters from the Colosseum. The price is good, and we wanted a 2 bedroom (travelling with friends), and the fact that there was 2 bathrooms was an added benefit. The place was perfect - exactly what we hoped for. Comfortable, stocked with everything we needed, convenient, nice and cool floors, hot water, very secure - we actually stayed for 1 day in one of the one bedroom apartments, and the rest of the time in the 2 bedroom apartment, and both were beautiful and comfortable. Now, MORE importantly, and the things we didn't expect, and the reasons that we will always come back to the Green Apartments, and won't even bother to search around, were: the little vegetable and fruit market across the street, the church bells every morning (and a few times on Sundays) from San Clemente and the church on the other side (which, I never found out it's name, but the bells were beautiful!), the little Celio district, filled with restaurants, pizzerias, coffee shops, and cobblestone, walking distance to the Colosseum and all the other sights (plus easy access to 3 subway stations and on the bus route). And, most importantly, there's Andrea. If you haven't stayed at the Green Apartments yet, you don't know what a wonderful find Andrea is!! From his very first contact, he was an abundance of information, very helpful, and, I must say, very patient. He answered all of my questions right away, and always had additional suggestions, and this was even before we'd made the decision to stay at this location. Then, he arranged transportation to and from the airport, and also to and from a "nearby" town. He met us at the apartment when we arrived and settled us in, and reviewed our options for seeing as much of Rome as we could, within our time limits. He gave us advice on using transportation, what each area of the city had to offer, and the best places for pizza, gelato and caffe. Above and beyond, he also helped us retrieve our missing luggage (which, I can tell you, was a huge relief since we didn't know Italian)! I could go on and on, but you will just have to experience it for yourself. In the end, all I can say (to Andrea) is "Grazie Mille" and even that, I think, is not enough to express how great our stay at Green Apartments really was.

Our stay at the Green Apartments was perfect. The apartment is well appointed, and comfortable. It is located about two blocks from the Coliseum, and within walking distance of many restaurants, bus and train stops. Andrea, our host was absolutely wonderful! He arranged a car to pick us up at the airport and spent a good deal of time orienting us to the city and providing us with adequate information to ensure a perfect holiday in Rome. I highly recommend the Green Apartments for its value and location!

We stayed in this apartment during the heat of August and we welcomed the air conditioning and secluded terrace. The Green Apartments are an oasis perfectly situated near the coliseum and the forum and many beautiful churches. We were able to walk everywhere. Andrea was a wonderful host who met us upon arrival and gave us invaluable information on experiencing the best of Rome. Maybelle, the housekeeper was warm and welcoming also. I hope to return to Rome in the near future and plan to stay at the Green Apartments again, because of the location, safety, quiet and friendliness.

Perfect Rome vacation

Wonderful location to tour Rome's sight. Near to Metro stops and bus lines. Also very close to internet cafe, bank machine, good restuarants, ice cream, bakery and grocery store. Owner gave very helpful briefing on the area with recommendations for restaurants and things to see. He was easily available throughout our stay for assistance and questions.He arranged airport transport and even stored some luggage for us while we made a side trip. Apartment was very clean and was well furnished and stocked and was cleaned daily.

This was my second visit to Rome and The Green Apartments, everything is as stated, clean, comfortable and reasonable, great location, Andrea is the perfect host and extremely helpful , i would definitely recommend a stay here while in Rome, perfect for getting around on public transportation, great location near the colloseum. He arranged for airport transportation as well - perfect! On my second visit it was really nice to come to someplace familiar as well.

Thank you Andrea for your very warm welcome. Your tips helped us plan our 3 days in Rome perfectly. We loved Tratorria Luzzi, Meo Patacca and Pizzeria lo Zozzone. We tried to have dinner at Trattoria Enzo in Trastevere, but we got there a little early and the hostess yelled at us. Perhaps it was just Roman “passion”, but our son who has been in Italy for 4 months agreed that she was simply rude. We ended up at Meo Patacca, where our experience was much better! We were serenaded with “That’s Amore” and a couple of beautiful Italian songs. Our ride to the airport on the Mercedes taxi was very comfortable. The driver arrived on time and was extremely courteous. Buon Anno!

The apartment was just what we needed for our 2 day stay Rome. It was exactly as in the VRBO listing and photos. It was a great location - 3 blocks to the Colliseum - close to a number of Metro stops. Andrea was an excellent host for us - he met us as we drove up to the apt.,- just what we needed after a hairy drive through heavy traffic into the heart of an unfamilar city - he helped us unload and carry in our luggage from our rental car (and also helped us carry out our luggage, when we left to the airport limo - which he arranged at a reasonable price). He sat down with us and outlined on our map the attractions that we should see during our short stay, including ones to walk to and the metro stops. He recommended a local restaurant - Trattoria Pizzeria Luzzi on Via Di San Giovanni - we ate there both nights we were in Rome. Highly recommend it , within 3 blocks of the apt., great food, atmosphere and wine - the house red is 4 Euros a litre and good - wow. We would recommend Andrea and his Green Apartments to any of our friends and family who travel to Rome. Ciao

We had a wonderful stay in Rome. The apartment is located quite close to Colloseum and also has and Indian Restaurant right below where we had dinner almost daily. Andrea also helped us with a map and giving general recommendations on where to go and also planned some itineraries for us! The apartment is very nice and cosy with attached baths in both rooms. Overall it was a great stay.

Andrea, Thanks for the wonderful apartment. Everything was just beautiful, I hope someday my wife and I can bring our children and stay at your place. Everything was close, but yet once you get back to the apartment its so peaceful and quiet that you dont know your 3 blocks from the coloseum. There is a market, tabbachi, meat market, bakery and internet cafe right across the street. Bus stop for the 85 and 87 bus, those will get you everywhere exciting 1 block away. Andrea is a saint, was always there when we had questions and when we got snowed in at JFK he made sure to let the driver know not to pick us up until the next day. Little things like will make us stay with you again when we return.

Absolutely Perfect!

I have stayed many places, many times in Rome, but this was, by far, the best experience I've ever had. The location was perfect - exactly between the two Metro lines, so no matter where you want to go, you don't have to change trains. It was great with two small children - quiet (which is rare for Rome), with a great outdoor patio. Andrea was wonderful - our plane was late, and he communicated with our pickup to ensure that there would be no problems. He met us at the apartment, sat down and reviewed the city map with us, pointing out good places for the kids (like the Explora children's museum). It was so cold in December, but the heater in the apartment (and the hot water) worked beautifully. The neighborhood is so nice, and I loved walking past the Coliseum at night - it is beautiful when illuminated and is right down the street. This is a fantastic property with a wonderful host!

Andrea, This flat was everything we imagined. It was a great location to everything and your recommendations to resturants were wonderful.
