Rave reviews from past guests available on request.
Here's a portion of a review by international travel writer Tom Huth:
“We swing open the door, and our schoolroom is dancing with light: sunshine pouring in through the tall paned windows, through the transoms, the ceilings twelve feet high and turning with tropical fans, the white beadboard walls hung with oversized art… We have 1,200 square feet to play with, and out every window we can see the bewitching shapes of the live-oak trees in the yard, their enormous arms glowing with Resurrection ferns. Given this choice, who’d ever stay in a hotel?”

Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2002
I renovated the Webb School in 2002 and live in one side of the building. The other side has been set up as guest quarters - complete with your own entrances, bath, kitchen and living areas. Guests really seem to appreciate the layout. They can maintain their privacy, but most days I'm working in my home office and am available if they have questions or need more info on the area.
I'm a freelance writer and photographer, working for several local publications. My first book will be published in 2010 by University Press of Mississippi, "Under Surge, Under Siege, the Odyssey of Bay St. Louis and Katrina." The Webb School is on the cover. Another recent project was photographing and writing a historic walking/bike tour of Old Town Bay St. Louis - something all my guests will be sure to appreciate.
Why the Owner Chose Bay St. Louis
I fell in love with Bay St. Louis when I first discovered it in the 80's. It was only an hour from my home in the French Quarter, so I used to day-trip over on weekends. Eventually, I opened an art gallery here and moved to the Bay full-time. It's something I've never regretted, even though the town was ground-zero for Katrina.
We're still rebuilding and it's an exhilarating, fascinating process. Rarely before in America has a community come back from such destruction. People here are determined to stay and build back stronger and better than before because we're so unique. I describe Bay St. Louis as "Mayberry by the Sea." One visit addicts most people.
Everyone always asks about the boat in my front yard that now serves as a planter. My book about Bay St. Louis contains the story of Lionel's Boat, describing how four of my neighbors arrived here in a boat during the storm. A marker in the front yard commemorates the lives it saved.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
The Webb School is absolutely saturated with great kid energy - for seven decades it was an elementary school. Most people seem to derive a sense of well-being just from staying here - myself included. And there's always the "WOW!" reaction when I open the door and show my guests around.
I've just recently activated the guest book feature and will encourage future guests to enter comments - but the guest book I keep here at the house is brimming with positive "reviews."
