Come and relax in our desert home in South Palm Springs. We chose this complex for it's unique historical interest. Built in the 1950's and known as the Gene Autry Hotel with small & large suites. The common areas include pool, hot tubs, outdoor kitchen/bar area, gym, and game room. We love visiting and living in the beautiful weather of the Coachella Valley. Close to downtown Palm Springs and Smoke Tree Shopping area
Our condo is a large unit and has new carpets, remodeled bath, dishwasher, and washer/dryer in the unit. The updated bath has 2 sinks, step-in shower, & elevated commode. The bedroom is connected to the bath and has new king size TEMPUR-pedic Mattress, Mirrored closet doors in bedroom & living room.
Our unit is located in the back of the complex where it is quiet and off busy Hwy 111. Your monthly rental amount includes all utilities including cable TV and internet.
Enjoy our large outdoor living area completely fenced for privacy and has the morning sun and late afternoon/evening shade, with 2 chaise lounges, water fountain, carpet, gas Barbeque, and eating area. You can access this area from 3 window walls w/sliders in bedroom, kitchen, & dining/living room of the condo.

Husband is retired manager of trucking company and now works as consultant for same company. Wife is an active Realtor since 1978. We have 2 sons, 4 grandsons and spend time traveling to visit their families. We reside in Oregon and love to travel, fish, and attend U of O "Duck" football games.
Why the Owner Chose Ocotillo Lodge
We chose to buy this unit as it is one level, has lots of natural daylight, close to airport, shopping, and mountains (protected from wind). Also, sister owns a unit in same complex.
The Unique Benefits of this Condo
We enjoy the weather, use of our common areas, tennis tournament in nearby Indian Wells, our private outside area, close to lovely downtown Palm Springs, and the dining opportunities.

Comfortable peaceful stay at Ocotillo Lodge

This is a comfortably furnished and decorated condo in a location a full block to the back from Palm Canyon Dr., so was a peaceful long weekend over Christmas. The kitchen is thoughtfully stocked with all the amenities of home, the king bed a welcomed Tempurpedic and the private yard a nice size with patio furniture and occasional visits by hummingbirds. The Ocotillo Lodge entertainment area, including a nice large pool, two hot tub-jacuzzis and gym, is a short walk from the condo, and provides plenty of space for a workout or relaxing with a great view of the mountains. Just minutes from the main Palm Springs attractions, this condo offers location, comfort and economy for short or long-term stays. The owners provided an easy solution for arrival and departure, were attentive to brief phone calls and emails, and were kind and thoughtful enough to supply a Christmas floral gift upon our arrival! Many thanks for meeting our needs on this visit to your desert home.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing.

My husband and I spent 10 lovely days in this Ocotillo unit. We had stayed at Ocotillo Lodge before so knew the lovely amenities and fabulous location. This unit was at the back of the complex and very quiet and private. The unit was very clean and inviting, filled with natural light. The photos do accurately reflect the unit, but the unit was really much larger and sun filled than we expected. A pleasant surprise! We really enjoyed the open floor plan. The unit had many very nice upgrades like in unit laundry and a dishwasher. I love to cook and I found the kitchen very well equipped, well organized and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and linens nice with plenty of new towels. The outdoor patio area was much larger than expected, very private with comfortable lounge chairs and had beautiful morning to mid/late afternoon sun. We especially appreciated the great lighting for reading in the evenings and the short walk to Koffi for the Sunday New York times and croissants! The parking was great, with parking also near the patio for close access when unloading luggage and bags of groceries. The onsite manager was very pleasant and helpful. The owner was very easy to contact and also a pleasure to work with. The Ocotillo Lodge is so well situated, so close to grocery shopping, the downtown area and shops and walking distance to restaurants. The complex is very well maintained and the pool and pool area so large, with plenty of lounge chairs and tables. When we return to Palm Springs it will be our first choice for a vacation rental!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, age 55+, tourists without a car, sightseeing.
