Very quiet neighborhood along the west shore of Lake Tahoe in beautiful Ward Valley. A 5 minute walk to the Sherwood chairlift, Alpine Meadows. 1000 vertical feet above Lake Tahoe with stunning views of the surrounding mountains, Ward Peak, Twin Peaks, Stanford Rock and Lake Tahoe.
World-class mountain biking trails right from the house. Dozens of hiking trails; the Alpine Meadows ski area, Twin Peaks, Tahoe Rim Trail, Paige Meadows and Ward Creek. This is a comfortable accommodating house, on a street that has very little traffic (usually less than 1 car every 3 hours), and plenty of off street parking.
The house is situated on the down hill side of the road with only 4 steps down to the main level. The closest house is more than 300 feet away and rarely occupied. The house faces south east offering breathtaking sunrises while viewing the lake and all day sun exposure.
Main level has covered entrance with outside storage for equipment and lots of coat hooks just inside the front door. There is 1 bedroom with queen bed and full bathroom, kitchen and living room. Living room has 37" LCD flat screen HD TV with direct TV including the sports package, comfortable leather furniture, a wood stove, and an adjacent deck with hot tub.
Master bedroom is located on the lower level with California king bed, full bathroom with double shower heads and armoire with TV. Also on lower level is bedroom with queen bed & lake view, small den with futon and TV, a full bathroom with tub/shower and laundry room.
There is a staircase to a loft/bedroom from the living room. The bedroom has a double bed and a trundle/twin beds (2 twins). There is an office area in the loft outside the bedroom.
