Various wetlands, pothole lakes, and the Eau Claire River also offer exciting opportunities for exploration. Plus our location allows for easy access from all parts of the state; including the famous Green Bay Packers!
Solin Hills offers a vast variety of outdoor opportunities. Over 20 miles of private trails, which connect to hundreds of miles of public trails including Wisconsin Ice Age Trail, offer almost limitless hiking, biking, skiing, and snowshoeing possibilities. The abundant wildlife allows for spectacular viewing and photographing opportunities.
Large game species such as deer and black bear are routinely seen as well as more than 60 species of birds and countless small mammals, reptiles and amphibians. Solin Hills also offers limited deer, bear and small game hunting in season.
For those who wish to get there feet wet, Solin Hills presents an array of possibilities. Canoeists will enjoy the chance to explore numerous lakes and ponds as well as miles of the Eau Claire River, which flows through the land. A couple of the larger lakes also provide the opportunities to catch some panfish for dinner and the Eau Claire River is designated as a Class I trout stream offering the chance to catch native brook trout.
A maintained swimming area is within easy paddling distance for those wishing to cool off during the hot summer days. Solin Hills also provides easy access to 150,000 of public land and hundreds of lakes. Hope to see you soon!
