This apartment could not have been in a better location for a visit to Barcelona. It's on a quiet pedestrian street which meant sleeping with the windows open at night was possible. You can walk to the main square and be in the middle of all the activity within a few minutes. The apartment was clean, beds comfortable, and the amenities great. It made for a great home away from home during our stay. I would recommend this place to anybody heading to Barcelona. My only complaint, and it has nothing to do with the apartment....is that the company require you to call within an hour of arriving to confirm your arrival time....this is not always possible and created a problem for us. Many of the pay phones in the core did not work...we walked for over an hour trying phones and finally a woman loaned us her cell phone!!! Perhaps using email and deciding on a firm arrival time would work better. It certainly would have for us.

Location was fabulous. I own my own vrbo rentals and the property met all my expectations. For a central location in a European city you cant ask for better facilities. The apartment accommodated my family of 5 very comfortably. The two baths were wonderful. Lewis the manager was very helpful. The only negative was no elevator but it was not a problem for us.

Nice apartment, large, comfortable, not luxury but good quality. The location is the key point of this apartment, it is simply excellent. Friendly owner, everything worked out well. We strongly recommend that place.

The owners told us this apartment was available, but referred us to another property they called Born Barcelona. We had many problems there. * The TV did not work: Property manager reply: "Will look into it". Nothing happened. * Lights: 3 different lights didn't work, including the one above the mirror in the bathroom: "Yes, some lights don't work." * Grunge in the coffee pot: "I added vinegar and it will be clean after soaking for a while." * Internet: Did not have Internet at the apartment or the first day, though WiFi was listed as available. Property manager: "A neighbor used to have an open WiFi network, but not any more. I can bring you a USB modem tomorrow." He did. It was very slow. "Yes, it is very slow. It is not broadband." It is like slow dial-up internet (remember that in the 90s?). # "Shower does not drain very well. Be careful, during long showers, that the water does not overflow, since the neighbors downstairs complain about leaks." "Can you get it fixed?" "Oh I see it is not so bad now." # The information sheet says: * "Small Balcony": No small balcony. * "Only 10 minutes walking to the beaches." It is a 30 minute walk. A 10-minute walk vs. a 30 minute walk is a big difference.

Owner response:I am sorry but I completely disagree with most of the comments. It is really strange he/she (Anonymous) doesn't put any positive comment, ummm?? everything was wrong? He/she is right when says the advertised apartment was full and I offered them another apartment called BORN apartment, that's completely right. He/she says the TV didn't work. Sorry, the TV work but ther were some signal problems in the whole building. It wasn't a problem of the apartment but of the antena's building. Now this is completely solved and even more, now there are international channels. He/she says 3 lights in all the apartment didn't work. Could be truth, there are more than 30 lights in the apartment so could be that 3 of them were on that moment off. In the bathroom there are 4 lights and yes, there was one off. The day they arrived was saturday night and i couldn't buy a new one (they stayed 3 nights if I am not wrong). Italian coffee machines. We have one of this in the apartment. The diposit of the water gets some calcium because of the use of it, it isn't dirty at all. It is like water pipes, all of them have in their interior calcium rests and we drink and use that water. We clean all the apartment and equipments every time. Well, at least he/she doesn't complaint about cleaning. Internet. There was an entire building net connection in the past and now every neighbor has its own connection. I provided him a USB modem because on that moment I didn't have the Hi-speed connection yet. Now, there is high-speed connection in the apartment. Shower. Yes of course, "Be careful, during long showers, that the water does not overflow, since the neighbors downstairs complain about leaks" some other renters has left the water overflow. There is a small balcony, sorry it is completely wrong when he/she says "No small balcony". The balcony is small, as it is written in the advertisement sheet, but IT IS a balcony. Beaches are at 10-15 minutes walking distance from the apartment as it is written in the advertisement sheet. I explained him/her the way to get the beaches. I don't know if they went by this way. To be honest, I don't understand why this person is so unsatified with my apartment. It doesn't say anything about if it maches the photos or not, it is quite or not, if it is lightly or not, it is cute, comfortable or not, if the area is nice or not, if it is central and well communicated or not,... as I write in the ad. No, only says a few details that in his/her opinion

Excellent apartment vey central located. The area is very nice, it full of commerces but quite, it is right in the center of Gothic area. Just one thing, a few more glasses would be nice :) All in all a very nice experience (9/10).

We stayed here in September 2009. The location is perfect - right in the heart of the Gothic section Barcelona - easy access and close to everything. The apartment is just as pictured - very comfortable, modern, and clean. Everyone was very helpful. We would return again. The only thing to remember is that it is up five long flights of stairs - no elevator, but we did not mind it.

The stay for 5 days in early October 09 was great. Location wise, it really cannot be beat! You can pretty much walk to everything, and have many conveniences close by, including a grocery store not far off on the Ramblas. For our party of 6, the space is more than adequate- definitely enough space to relax, and the bathrooms were nice. The overall condition of the apartment is very good. Having in-home laundry was a life-saver. If you don't mind climbing the stairs (4 flights), this would be a great place to stay at! Silvia, one of the owners- was very friendly and had great communication all throughout the booking process. Highly recommended!
