If you yearn for a traditional Florida beach cottage in the quintessential beach town on the world’s most beautiful beaches, then look no further. This tin-roof charmer is serenely nestled in the picturesque coastal town of Seaside.

Enter through the picket gate and leave the real world behind. Enjoy coastal breezes on the swing hanging from the shady arbor, or from the old-fashioned glider under the ceiling fan on the screened front porch. Once inside, you’ll discover a living room with tongue-in-groove wood walls and vaulted ceiling painted a cool white, with knotty pine wood floors. Comfortable furnishings include a sofa sleeper in a summery plaid and two white wicker chairs. The table in the adjacent dining alcove seats 6. The cozy cottage kitchen opens to the living area, creating one large space. Full size washer and dryer are tucked away just off the kitchen.

The two downstairs bedrooms are reached via an enclosed window-lined breezeway. The children’s bedroom is furnished with a twin bunk bed and has easy access to the adjacent hall bath. At the end of the hall is the spacious king master, with the same cool white tongue-in-groove walls and soaring ceiling found in the living area. Exterior doors allow direct entry following a day at the beach or a night on the town. The private bath features a tub/shower combo and single vanity. Upstairs is a delightful sunny yellow sleeping loft, featuring one full and two twin beds positioned under a charmingly angled ceiling.

Outdoors is a large sun deck, tucked privately behind the kitchen, and perfect for outdoor meals or cocktails. Just off the deck is an outdoor shower for rinsing sandy feet after a day at the beach. (Tupelo Street access begins just 500 feet away.) Or choose from one of three community pools, play a game of tennis or croquet, or visit the fitness center. Seaside amenities are available for an additional fee.

The Town of Seaside is a self-contained coastal community of world renown, with boutique shopping, local artists’ wares and dining ranging from casual to fine. Toast the sunset while enjoying unparalleled views from the rooftop bar at the famous Bud & Ally’s Restaurant on the gulf side of Scenic Highway 30A. Enjoy concerts at the amphitheater, and public events - like First Friday Art Walk and the Saturday morning farmer’s market - at the Town Square. Or stroll to the neighboring town of Watercolor, where you’ll find additional shopping and dining choices. Then work off some of those wonderful meals with a bike and ride along the Timpoochee Trail, a 19-mile long pedestrian and bike path running the length of Scenic Highway 30A.

Other local attractions within an 18-mile radius include Grand Boulevard and Destin Commons premier lifestyle centers, Silver Sands designer outlet and Panama City’s Pier Park. Several golf courses are also nearby, including Camp Creek, Shark’s Tooth, Origins and Santa Rosa Beach Golf and Beach Club. Discount coupons for Camp Creek are available while supplies last.
