Perfect Family Summer Home

Guest: Yvie 1 (London, England)
Date of Stay: 08/12/11 Review Submitted: 08/26/11

Our family of 6 loved Eagle Point. It is so clean and comfortable and a real pleasure to stay in. It is more than a home from home because it is such a treat of wonderful facilities and views. The owners Dave and Emma could not be more friendly, helpful and efficient in organising everything. They are always kind and courteous and do not leave anything to chance. The house is in a superb location with the wealth of the Rockies all within easy reach, whilst still being slightly away from the busy tourist areas. We were able to do all the sites and all the activities from the house easily, and Dave and Emma provided a great amount of information as to the best things to do. Canmore is a lovely town with wonderful restaurants or a great supermarket if you want to eat in. The kitchen is as good as the description says so this is a tempting alternative to a restaurant!! I would have no hesitation in wholeheartedly recommending Eagle Point.

Excellent vacation home close to the Canadian Rockies!

Guest: Jeff Bomchill (Buenos Aires, Argentina)
Date of Stay: 06/22/11 Review Submitted: 07/20/11

We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation in the Canadian Rockies, and staying at Eagle Point was a big part of that. Staying in Canmore is an ideal spot for relatively short drives to all of the nearby national parks. After conducting research of the houses available in the Canmore area, we concluded that this was the best place to stay ... and we definitely weren't disappointed! The house is exactly as described really made our family feel at home during our stay. In addition, dealing with Emma and Dave was always a pleasure, and their communication was consistently clear and timely. If we ever happen to make it up to that region of the country again, no doubt that we will want to stay at Eagle Point once again. Emma and Dave, many thanks for all you did to make our vacation one we won't forget!

Winter in Canmore

Guest: Ellen (Tampa, Florida)
Date of Stay: 03/19/11 Review Submitted: 04/15/11

My family of four had a wonderful winter vacation at this beautiful and immaculate mountain home. The views from the website are not overstated! We cooked a few meals in, and and found everything we needed. Caroline the concierge did a great job meeting us and explaining everything. We enjoyed watching movies and March Madness in the theater room, and watching the wildlife pass by outside. There was a little community trail through the woods nearby on which we quickly seemed to become very removed from civilization. Excellent restuarants nearby and in Banff town. We have never seen such spectacular mountain scenery as we did in the Canmore/Banff area.

The Perfect Mountain Retreat!

Guest: KD (Reading, UK)
Date of Stay: 04/03/10 Review Submitted: 09/27/10

Where can I start about this wonderful house! Having thoroughly researched the property available in Canmore, Banff and the surrounding areas, I was certain from the pictures and description that this place would be something special and therefore perfect for our month away, and it certainly didn't disappoint! The house is truly spectacular and the eptiomy of luxury and for us it provided the ultimate romantic location. With it's huge open fire place and beautiful floor to window ceilings we spent many an evening in the lounge snuggled up on the couch with a bottle of red wine admiring the gorgeous views of the rockies. Of course that was when we weren't soaking in the hot tub underneath the stars!! The open plan kitchen is stunning and had absolutely everything we could have possibly needed and more and the cinema room with its reclining chairs provided the occasional welcome change to hiking in the mountains. All the bedrooms are lovely although the master bedroom and en suite is gorgeous and it made my husband's day when we woke one morning to Elk in the back yard - talk about your picture perfect postcard! Finally I just wanted to thank Emma and Dave for making the holiday so special, as not only were they incredibly professional and friendly to deal with when making the booking but Emma also ensured that there was a bottle of champagne, my husband's favourite, in the fridge so that we could celebrate as soon as we arrived (in the hot tub of course!).

Absolutely Gorgeous Home!!

Guest: world travelers (Heath, TX USA)
Date of Stay: 08/04/10 Review Submitted: 09/19/10

What could be better than exploring the spectacular Canadian Rockies during the day and returning to this gorgeous home in the evening?!! We prepared many of our meals in the gourmet kitchen and then sat down to eat with an incredible view of the mountains. This home is beautifully finished inside with lovely woods and stone and is furnished with top-of-the-line appliances, furniture and linens. After finishing our dinner each evening we were off to the theater room (perhaps our favorite place in the house) to watch movies on a huge screen with surround sound. The reclining theater chairs are so comfortable and the movie selection very good. If you have young children, you might want to take along some Disney movies to watch. We had our Harry Potter movie collection along and they were great on the big screen. There are lots of places to eat in Canmore and also a good place to book white water rafting. If you have done white water rafting before, we would recommend the longer trips. We took the half day trip and it was great fun, but pretty calm. A park pass is furnished with the home, so hang the pass from your rearview mirror and take the far right lane as it bypasses all of the lines to get into the national park. There are great hiking trails back into the mountains within an easy walk of the house along the creek bed. I would highly recommend this walk---good fun jumping from rock to rock across the water as you work your way back into the wilds!!!
