Midnight Dip was a geat find for our family reunion. There are no hidden surprises(except good ones), the pictures are accurate and it really does sleep 20 people, and I will add comfortable. This home allowes dogs but you would never know there were ever dogs in the house. We found the house clean and fresh(free of any dog hair or odor)upon arrival and I had the pleasure of meeting one of the cleaning persons as we were leaving and she was very pleasant. The maintenance people for the pool and hot tub were also very pleasant. If you rent this house you do not have to go anywhere else but maybe to Wal-mart to get food for your stay or to the many local resturants if you choose not to cook in the luxery kitchen (sorry I have no restaurants to recommend since we cooked in every night). Because the kitchen was fully stocked with enough place settings for the number of people the house accomadated and it has two full size dish washers we did not have to eat our meals on paper plates or go out to eat. The outdoor pool and hot tub were well maintained and were a big hit with the children and adults alike. It was a comfort to find that the pool and hot tub had to be unlocked for use so non of the young children could just wounder into the pool area without adult supervision. I never made it to the picnic area by the lake so I would like to, Good Lord willing, some time rent this home again and enjoy having a picnic by the lake. Even with all the activites to do at the house we choose to rent a boat (Bill's Marina) for three days and do some tubing which is something I really enjoy now that I no longer water ski. I did not make it to Swallow Falls this trip but it is a place to see, wear good walking shoes. The living area is a great place for movie night in or if you prefer you can go to the the local movie theater not far from the house. My brother-in-law and nephew really enjoyed the fishing pond in the complex and my husband & another brother-in-law enjoyed the par 3 golf course(both free of charge). Thank you for sharing your home and for all the hard work maintaining it. Also it was really nice talking to you back in November 2010 when I first saw the listing and called to get directions and to discuss what steps I needed to take if I choose Midnight Dip for our vacation rental home in 2012 for our family reunion and for also helping me with finding another house close to yours since we had more then 20 people to accomadate.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers.

About the owner: Midnight Dip is owned by close friends and neighbors. The house easily accomodates our two families of four adults and six children easily, comfortably and in luxury. The pool, hot tub and unbelievable choices of amenities in the community and the DCL area as a whole provide for unending entertainment for the whole family. We love every chance we get to spend time at our vacation home and we work hard to make it enjoyable for all of our guests. We know you will love your vacation at Midnight Dip, and we hope you build as many memories as we have.
Why the Owner Chose Swanton:
A family member purchased this home when it was brand new. After staying in their home as guests a number of times, we just fell in love with the Deep Creek Lake area. As we began looking for an investment property in the area for ourselves, we recalled saying that, '...we want a house exactly like Midnight Dip...' Fortunately for us, the house became available and we jumped on the opportunity.
