OH MY GOSH!!! I couldn't have asked for a better honeymoon! My husband and I enjoyed every bit of our time at Beside The Pointe. It was so relaxing, laid back and soooooo private, which was what we were looking for...PRIVACY! He is a very go, go, go, always has to be doing something type of person and I can't ever get him to stop, I will have you know that I could hardley get him to do a dang thing while we were there...haha! Thats how awesome Eleuthera is...the locals make you feel so at home and very helpful with any questions you have. The home owner always makes you feel at ease and very informative start to finish, even after your home safe and sound!! I would absolutely visit Beside the Pointe again. The only thing we weren't expecting and caught us off gaurd was how expensive everything on the island really is, but understandable due to import/export costs to the locals. To anyone reading this, don't look any further, this is the place for you! Oh any for sure go get some homemade bread, it was to die for!! ENJOY!
Owner response:Thanks Tonia, so what was Mark doing the whole time LOL ! every honeymoon couple that stays there ends up pregnant, and I told you not to drink the water, it's in the water LOL Enjoyed having you as a guest, Thanks, Keith

My wife and I celebrated our 25th anniversary in Eleuthera at Beside the Pointe We were there first part of June, 2011. Spent 14 days lounging, relaxing and snorkeling. The island was so peaceful, friendly, and beautiful, we thought we were on another planet. The cottage is adequately supplied with all the basic needs of home, very clean and comfortable. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, all the way from the entrance. The view is spectacular and the beach is secluded. We saw only 2 people the whole time, way to the south of us. The beach is great for walks and very long (maybe a half mile or more). The water is shallow at the shore for easy access and the snorkeling was fun (not much coral or fish) but still fun. We found shells and sandollars by the hundreds. The stairs to the beach from the cottage was a bit of a challenge for us flatlanders, but not too bad. The terrain between the stairs and the beach was very rocky and challenging for any clumsy person. The owner was easy to contact through email, (provides an emergency cell phone) very informative and honest about the rental and all amenities. The road leaving Queens Highway to the cottage (about 2 miles) is extremely rough and only one lane. I was OK with it but my wife has a bad back and didnt care for it. To make a long story short, we had a wonderful time and cannot wait to return. PS bring lots of OFF, no see ums and mosquitoes were vicious. The cottage has a screened in porch and was a life saver (however the no see ums can get through the screen). Book it now before its too late. Tippys was our favorite place in North Palmetto. Bakery in GH is wonderful (get there before noon) Fresh fish from the locals at the dock in GH a must. Friday night fish fry in GH was lots of fun. Visited other wonderful beaches (they are everywhere) (buy your hard spirits there, much cheaper-Stolis $15 / fifth) Take good waterproof shoes, thick soled (crocs were my favorite) not those water shoes, soles are too thin.
Owner response:Thanks Mark and Sherry for your kind comments. I am happy to know that Beside the Pointe played a major role in your 25th anniversary celebrations, congratulations. The one mile tract into Beside the Pointe is very rustic and a little bumpy in spots but the tranquility and quietness and privacy more than makes up for it and especially the view when you get to the top. Thank you for being very nice renters, my property manager enjoyed meeting you and I look forward to having you as a guest again at Beside the Pointe . yes Mark, those steps are designed to keep you in shape while you enjoy your holidays, Keith

To first answer some of the guideline questions i'll make it simple, Yes to all. If you are looking for a secluded, peaceful, romantic getaway or just somewhere to chill from the hustle and bustle I have no words (or too many) to describe Beside the Pointe. It was to date our favorite place to be anywhere! We have been to eleu 4 times now and had to push ourselves to leave this cottage, it was everything we had been looking for. The location was perfect for us, we never saw another person on "our" beach and it is central so if you want to go out everything you need is just a short drive away. I would recommend this to anyone (but would really rather like to keep it a secret) but that would not be fair. The cottage is a studio and decorated island style and has everything you could need. Did I mention the screened porch that will bless you with the most beautiful sunsets and the perfect place to have your wake-up coffee in the morning? The grounds are a gardening dream and we spent much happy time walking and taking in the beauty eleuthera has to offer without having to leave our paradise, perfect for me as i love the flora and fauna. There is much to explore and discover without ever having to leave the property if you don't want to. I am happy to recommend this cottage and to answer any questions, ask Keith to contact me for any questions you might have, he has my contact info, you will be glad you did. Many thanks to Keith and Sharon for allowing us to have the visit we have been searching for.

We have just returned from a week at Beside the Pointe and I want to recommend it most enthusiastically! It was the perfect place for what we wanted: down time, beach, more than adequate kitchen, privacy, quiet. The cottage has everything you could want: snorkel gear, beach towels, a washer and dryer; and the things you'd need as a renter but wouldn't necessarily want to buy, such as paper napkins, cooking oil, herbs and spices, and a generous offering of libations left by previous tenants. (We left the better part of a bottle of gin and some rum ourselves). The king size bed is super comfortable, the screened porch is perfect for morning coffee and evening sunset-watching, the kitchen is well-equippedd, and did I mention that it has a washer and dryer? The location is excellent for beach walking and snorkeling, birding, photography, poking around or just lying in the sun. Keith, the owner, is a superb host who wants his guests to have a good experience and will do all he can to assure it. I recommend this vacation site without hesitation.

Even though we ended up not renting Keith's house as another renter was quicker then us we can't thank him enough. When he realized that his house was booked for the dates we wanted he offered to still help in any way he could and boy did he help. Keith gave us much needed info about the island, sent us some other houses to look at and put as through with a car rental guy, a property owner and a real estate broker. Keith insisted that we keep him posted and tell him as we make progress. When we finally had a few houses in mind we used him again to help us choose the right one as we were traveling with two small kids so he mae sure the house was right for us and them. This was only the beginning, the house we rented was only a mile away from his house and he immediately offered to help with maps (hand drawn!) of the area and lots of other useful info. He also offered to lend us some of his fishing gear and equipment, how cool is that??? Thank you Keith for all your help and we we'll definitely be back and rent your house next time we are on the island. Eyal & Sharon,

We spent two blissful weeks "beside the point", and had an incredible time! The cottage is cute, clean, comfortable, totally private, and has everything you could want. Our typical day was- wake up whenever, coffee & breakfast, down the steps to the "private" (we did see another couple down the other end of the beach one day) beach, swim in the crystal clear warm water, and check the fish trap for dinner. Afternoons- nap, explore the island, snorkel along the cliffs on either end of the beach, and wonder at everything from lion fish to sleeping 7 foot nurse sharks in caves! Fresh fish for dinner with sauce from Island Farm stand, or head down to Tippys or the Friday fish fry. You will need a jeep to explore the island, and the driveway is a bit of a challenge without one... insist on a safe rental (we went through three). The island is friendly and safe... people often work on the honor system, and keys left in cars is common. This is the perfect couple getaway... thanks Keith, we had a great time, and would highly recommend it to a friend!
