  My husband and I just returned from Odessa and had the best week of our lives! The view is spectacular and you can hear the sound of the waves day & night. We had planned to visit all the beaches and have dinner out but once we were on the deck we didn't want to leave. We had crab and lobster with a good bottle of wine on the deck and just watched the sailboats cruise by. The house was clean, it had all the amenities included, no bug issues and no safety concerns. Bruce called us to see how everything was going and if we needed anything to make our stay more enjoyable. The grocery store and fish market are close but the property is quiet and secluded. We sailed on Bad Kitty one day and had a good time and visited trunk bay 1 day. We had dinner at Fatty crabs which was outstanding! I must mention you'll fall in love with St. John as well as Kiwi the resident cat. She is too precious for words. Great vacation!

  Our family of four, including two teenagers, have just returned from a wonderful week at Villa Odessa. This property has everything anyone could need for a great vacation. The villa itself has a very well equipped kitchen, cable TV and very reliable internet. The owner has also provided beach chairs, ice chests and lots of beach towels! There is plenty of room for everyone to gather together or to find their own quiet spot. We all noticed that the property is very well maintained with new decking on all of the balconies and at the pool. The landscaping is also beautiful. There are quite a few steps leading down to the property from the parking pad but these are easily manageable and very well lit at night.( The owner also takes great pains to point this out at the booking stage.) The immediate area is quiet and peaceful but at the same time it is only a 5-10 minute drive to the grocery store or Cruz Bay. I don't think there could be a better location. We have many great memories of our stay here..mine is the lovely outdoor shower, where I probably used more water than I should but it was so enjoyable. My husband enjoyed the views and the kids enjoyed the cat "Kiwi"!!! We would not hesitate to return to this wonderful property.

  I have returned to this unusual beachfront villa in a very private location several times. It is only five minutes from the town of Cruz Bay. The view is astounding. It feels like you are surrounded by Hart Bay and you see the entire southern coast of St John. All amenities were provided and the management company provided all useful information. The landscaping including fruit trees were lovely and, like the house, well maintained. The upper level is of West Indian design with a breeze travelling through the French doors and stone arched windows. The "hideaway" with its swing provided an additional serene setting for relaxation. The photographs were authentic. We loved it.

  My boyfriend and I recently stayed at Odessa. We had a wonderfully peaceful time there, with a beautiful open view of Hart Bay and further along St John’s south coast. It really felt like we were “living on St. John” and enjoyed getting the fresh ocean breezes. The owner’s description calling it a “classic rental” is very appropriate, and the pictures posted are good– it had everything we needed, beach towels, all kitchen items, etc. The kitchen is separated from the living area with a bar, so it was great when I was cooking and my boyfriend was reading on the couch - and the views from there are beautiful. The upstairs (main) bedroom is behind the kitchen and the outside deck runs the entire length of the upper floor (we only used the top bedroom, there are two bedrooms below). There is even an outdoor stone shower, which was a real vacation treat! (We understand there are many of these at homes on St. John) The house is situated down a few steps from where we parked on a dead end road, so it is very private. We walked down to Hart Bay beach each morning on a little private path, and were usually the only two there. The pool and deck look very new, and we spent allot of time up there –it is very peaceful. The house is close to Cruz Bay so easy to go to in for groceries or shopping. Just go to any bar and they will give you dining and shopping ideas based on what you like! Hiking and beaches are great here!

  My best friend, her husband, my husband and myself stayed in Odessa in late April 2006 (before the remodeling). It was fantastic then and I can't wait to go back and see the new look! The pool, natural stone outdoor shower, the open layout on the main floor and privacy from those on the lower level, make this house perfect. We ate dinner on the deck or came home from on the local restaurants in nearby Cruz Bay to have drinks there in the evening or up by the pool. We loved this place. Best vacation we've ever went on. Can't wait to go back!
