Why the Owner Chose Morganton
We bought this house while it was under construction. The layout was perfect with a massive porch and open interior great for entertaining lots of people. Loved the westward orentation and vast shoreline. We made an offer the day we first laid eyes on it!
The Unique Benefits at this House
The house has a relaxed feel. I decorated it with a folk art flare. Many of the interior furnishings are hand made and one of a kind. I used a deep warm color palate and chose accents that would withstand design trends much unlike other lake homes I see.

My family and I rented this gorgeous home for 5 days over the July 4th holiday and had one of the most memorable experiences we have ever had. The kids are still talking about the fun they had white water rafting on the Ocoee River, seeing the movie at the Swan Drive-In and the many fun hours spent in the hot-tub and on the dock jumping into the lake. The house accommodate all of our needs and the surroundings were so relaxing. We'll definitely be back for more R&R.

It has been my joy to stay at this place more than once. The setting is fantastic and the comfort is spectacular. You can get lost on a walk, on the lake, on a porch rocker, by the fireplace, in the hot tub, or on top of the boat dock. In my book getting lost is what I want to do when I go away to the lake, and this is the place to do it!
Owner response:I appreciate Jim's comment. That's the way we feel when we are at our home away from home on Lake Blue Ridge. Sometimes it's hard just to pull up and go out to dinner at the end of the day because the sunsets offer a wonderful ambiance to a home cooked fare at the table on the porch. :)

We invided my sister and brother-in-law to come up from Jacksonville,FL. They had never been to the North Georgia Mtns. and Lake area so they were thoroughtly impressed. They enjoyed the train ride, shopping, attempts at fishing, and the glorious sunups & sundowns. We also invited several of our single friends, one of whom grew up in the McCaysville-Cooper Hill area. She showed us all the unique places to shop and dine including the feed store, Serentity, and Sue's Best hamburger's in Blue Ridge. We didn't forget Mercer's (opps) delicious apples! We used the wonderful gas grill to cook our steaks. We had such good cooks for every meal that my husband and I had to redouble our resolutions at Weight Watchers. We rediscovered the stars because were were so far them the Atlanta city lights. My girlfriends and I are speech pathologists so we had the chance to relax, have fun - laughing lots, and just being together - your quilts, comfortable beds, porch, fireplace, hot tub were outstanding. We had so much fun that we forgot to take pictures. Fondly, Susan & Bill Pearce.

We had a wonderful, relaxing time at your beautiful lake house. The kids had a great time on the wave runners and pontoon boat and loved fishing and swimming off the dock. The house is very spacious and comfortable. We especially liked the very large family room with great views of the lake and the wrap-around balcony. We'll definitely be back - Lake Blue Ridge is great!

Lake Blue Ridge is one of the best lakes in the region, and this lake house is great. The house sits on a point, with 180+ degree lake views. The walk to the lake is easy - no stairs up and down a cliff like so many other houses on this lake. The owners make this house feel like it is your own home. We've been coming here for long weekends twice yearly for several years now, and we'll keep coming back for years to come!

We found this house on VRBO and stayed for 3 nights over Father's Day weekend with my parents and two children ages 6 and 7. We would recommend to anyone. Our children never were bored and had a great time on the dock, the pontoon we rented and the game tables. We have rented houses all over and this one is one of the best! The Mcay's have stocked their home with everything you need especially in the kitchen. If you are looking for a house on a lake with great views and nice ammenities this is it! The added bonus is the Mcay's were wonderful to deal with.

Our family and some friends stayed at the lake over Labor Day weekend. The children loved it - the view was awesome, especially the sunset. A great double decker dock was fun to jump off of into the lake. Pontoon boat rental at the marina made a great Saturday. Definitely recommend this property - it was great!

My family and I absolutely loved our long weekend at the lake in this beautiful, immaculately clean home - and it truly does feel like a home. The kitchen is a joy to work in, the upstairs bathroom is incredible (with a tub the size of a Buick), and plenty of seating on the wonderful wraparound porch (complete with rocking chairs, a hammock and a hot tub), which was the biggest hit of all. If you're looking for somewhere to truly relax, this is the place. We'll be back!
Owner response:Thanks Nancy! We hope to hear from you again when it's family gathering time. Blessings, Jan
