As a frequent traveler with the chance to stay in many of the finer hotels around the world and with homes in New York City and East Hampton, I spent several years exploring Puerto Vallarta in order to determine the ideal location for my newest home there. Wanting to somehow unite both the luxury and modern comforts I've come to expect with the quirky authenticity I love about Puerto Vallarta, I was thrilled when I discovered Residencias Molino de Agua.
Uniquely positioned directly on the beautiful sandy beach where the lush Rio Cuale pours into Banderas Bay, I chose my particular unit within the Residences for both its high-floor, unobstructed beach and town views as well as its preferred overall layout and generous terraces.
Sparing no expenses, several professional designers came together to ensure that my home there is as sophisticated as it is relaxing, including Amanda Aguirre (Interiors), Shani Ledah (Terrace and Indoor Landscaping), and Ambient Solutions (Custom Audio & Video).
If you are looking for accommodations that will allow you both the beachfront luxury you desire and the world of authentic Puerto Vallarta mere steps from your door, I invite you to experience the true meaning of 'mi casa su casa' at my home at Residencias Molino de Agua.
P.S. Any previous visitors to Molino de Agua will be thrilled to hear that the swim-up Palapa Bar & Cafe is now officially opened, offering delicious food and drink poolside or - if you prefer - delivered directly to the condo!

I have been going to PV at least annually for over a decade and know the area well, especially Old Town. This condo is the best place we have ever stayed. I travel weekly for work and stay at high-end hotels and have very particular standards about noise, decor, location, etc and this condo met all of my needs. The unit is very spacious and well decorated and stocked. We really enjoyed the sound system that allowed music to be played throughout the condo and patios with the ipod docking station/ stereo. The massive patio that overlooks the beach is a piece of heaven where I could sit for a week and be very content. The location is perfect - allowing us to walk almost anywhere. The grounds at this complex are amazing - huge swimming pool, private beach (within the gates), and huge park next to the river. Everything within the condo is well stocked - great linens, pillows, towels, kitchen gadgets and everything you will need for a perfect stay. Note there are multiple buildings at the condo complex - and this condo is in tower 1, closest to the beach - towards the front so the views of the ocean are amazing - and you hear waves constantly on the patio and in the living area. We will definitely return.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing.

I have visited Puerto Vallarta each year for the past three years, and this is without a doubt the nicest place I have stayed. The apartment is beautifully designed and furnished and features an amazing large outdoor terrace where you will want to be every day at sunset. The building is new and has a huge pool with a swim up bar. Right in front of the building is the Malecon, where you can stroll at any time of day or night and find great bars, restaurants, and of course, the beach. The location is ideal and I would not want to stay anywhere else in Puerto Vallarta, as there is no need to take a taxi or bus to get anywhere - everything is within walking distance. Do yourself a favor and take at least an entire week to relax on that terrace and enjoy the sunsets and breezes.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed here in January and loved it. First, the owner from NY was great to deal with; he was accessible, very friendly, and easy to deal with. Further, he has a great local property manager who checks you in and out and is available for other assistance. This is the nicest building in PV on the beach. The pictures and description do not do it justice. The place is stocked as if it were someone's full time home, including a gourmet kitchen and very tasteful and comfortable furniture and design. From the huge outdoor terrace which is a continuation of the living room, you can lie on the chaises and watch the ocean and the people below. We enjoyed the in-ceiling speakers throughout which were connected to an iPod docking station. The pool is beautiful and probably the largest I have seen and is immaculately maintained. The location of the building is great. The Malecon is right below. There are endless restaurants nearby. Groceries are nearby, as is an upscale market with fresh meats and wines, which is around the corner. While the building is close to all of the action, at the end of a day on the beach, we always enjoyed retreating to this oasis. The unit includes maid service a few times per week and she kept the place immaculate. The property has excellent security; they also happened to be immensely friendly. In the complex, the unit is in the tower closest to the beach. We would return to this unit in a heartbeat and would recommend to the most discerning travellers.Did you find this review helpful? This is a beautiful unit in a relatively new modern building. Set right on the beach next to the river you can walk along the seaside malecon to most everything PV has to offer. An oasis of modern convenience set perfectly between downtown PV and old town. The views from this unit are breathtaking. We have been to PV many times and this is one of our favorite locations. This unit has nicer furnishings then the other units I saw during my stay (had friends staying in 3 other units). Coats, the owner, was very easy to work with as was the local property manager. We hope to return soon!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
