My wife, 2yr old son, and I shared this apartment with another couple around New Year's 2013. Our family took the efficiency side while the other couple had the larger side of the apartment. This arrangement was perfect as it allowed for alternating between shared space and private space with the separating doors. Sound between the two apartments was no problem when the doors were closed. The location of this apartment simply couldn't be better. It is the perfect distance from the old city sights - a couple blocks from everything, but nicely off the main thoroughfares so that street noise is at a minimum. Aside from the old city we found everything in Prague to be within reasonable walking distance. Moreover, many good restaurants and other shops are in the immediate vicinity of the apt. The apartment is beautifully appointed. Both bathrooms were remarkably stylish and having washer/dryer in both sides of the apartment was a wonderful amenity. Both kitchens are well equipped, modern, and very functional. We also found the restored wooden ceiling in the entrance to the efficiency to be a nice touch. One consideration worth noting is that the kitchenette in the efficiency is a tad small on eating space (a small bar area) and less-than ideal for a 2yr old. Nonetheless, we were able to use it effectively and if we didn't have the child I probably wouldn't have noticed it as an inconvenience. This also doesn't factor in as a problem if you have access to the other side of the apartment (which we had intermittently) which includes a dining room-type table in one portion of the living room space. Management was very helpful and arranged transportation upon arrival and departure. They were also very helpful in resolving an issue that arose relating to a problem with one of the door keys. All things considered our experience with this apartment and Prague was fantastic. I would absolutely recommend this apartment to others and would stay here again without hesitation should my travels return me to Prague. I simply can't imagine a better location in Prague.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+.

The White Swan was just as depicted and described. We found it to be immaculately clean and well supplied. The neighborhood was lovely; very close to the Old Town Square, but totally removed from the tour groups and souvenir shops. We walked everywhere. There are many good restaurants within a block or two. We highly recommend Chagall, just a block away, where we had outstanding food, beautifully presented, with attentive service. We enjoyed an organ concert at St. James Church and a chamber music concert at the Clementinum. Our only complaint was the late arrival of the representative to whom we needed to give the keys, making our departure from the flat later than we intended. Because check in at the Prague Airport was exceptionally slow we had to run to make our flight. We would definitely recommend this property to friends and family.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, girls getaway, age 55+.

My wife and I spent a week in this apartment. It could have accommodated two couples (if they're quite friendly) without much trouble, since it has two bedrooms, each with a WC, and two kitchens, tho the second one is a bit small. It even has two large screen TV's. The place was very well equipped and furnished, and the manager was helpful and responsive. There were a few things in need of tinkering, but they were fairly easily resolved. Although the description of the place mentioned an available portable phone, this was not in fact the case, but connecting our laptop to the available wireless signal was straightforward (had to reboot their router by unplugging it and restarting it, but then it worked fine). The internet was very handy for contacting the manager, and we never felt a phone really necessary, tho we did use Skype a bit. The street where the place is located is quiet, in a neighborhood with good restaurants, a small adequate grocery store, a deli nearby, and a pub (an Irish pub!) across the street. We did take advantage of the offered limo from the airport, which was rather pricier than the airport bus, but considerably easier, if you've never been to Prague before. You can easily find an ATM in the airport, and buy metro tickets there too. About 10 minutes to the nearest tram stop, a bit further to the big Palladium shopping mall, the large Albert supermarket and the nearest metro stop. A car is not necessary, in fact would be a big hassle. Prague has excellent music--we went to two operas, and a rehearsal of the Prague symphony, very inexpensive and of fine quality. I strongly recommend this rental.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+.

First VRBO rental, but if typical, won't be last! Also first visit to Prague. Terrific experience all around. Rented both apt/studio for 6 nts – adult couple for 3 nts, joined by 3 adults (daughter & son/partner) for next 3. Altho' bedrms very close proximity, double-door separation provided near-perfect sound-proofing, which gave studio occupants complete privacy. Great way for family/friends to spend time together for very reasonable price. Appreciated convenience having airport transport arranged via mgmt company. Zdenek met us & was very helpful, taking us to neighborhd bank when we weren't able to get Czech cash from airport ATM to pay him. Apt/studio provide everything you would want/need – spotlessly clean, roomy, comfortable (great beds!), well-equipped kitchens with hi-quality appliances, excellent washers/dryers/dishwashers, reliable wireless internet, security system for letting someone in bldg's front door. Location perfect for walking to tourist sites and being near grocery stores, bakeries, good restaurants. Quiet, safe neighborhood so beautiful it’s used for movie shoots (watched filming at florist half block away). Vojtech very helpful during rental process, but just before our arrival, he “disappeared” from correspondence without explanation and Anastasia took over, very competently. Only one caution – ad states apt/studio sleeps up to 6, but only 2 king-sized beds, so 5th & 6th occupants must sleep on custom-made sleeper sofa, which adult daughter did not find "very comfortable" as described. Padding was so thin/uncomfortable 1st night that she removed back/side cushions and slept on sofa itself for last 2 nts, which was very comfortable. If kids are 5th/6th occupants, may not be problem. Overall, perfect introduction to VRBO and Prague and would definitely try to rent the White Swan again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

We stayed in the White Swan while vacationing in Prague - what a wonderful choice! The apartment is lovely, with high-end furnishings and appliances. We rented both the studio and one bedroom as a unit, and had plenty of room, as well as everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Everything was very clean and well-maintained. Having a kitchen and washer/dryer was wonderful - we could prepare food or purchase food-to-go from a local cafe and heat it up later, as well as doing laundry. The property was easy to book, and having shuttle service arranged to/from the airport made it especially convenient. The location could not be any better - less than five minutes to the old town square, with restaurants, markets, and shopping even closer. The photos on the listing don't do it justice - it's even nicer than it appears! If we ever return to Prague, we will definitely plan to stay at the White Swan again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, families with young children, age 55+.

We rented both the studio and the apartment for 6 nights. The location was perfect, just two blocks from The Old Town Square, with a Mini Market on the corner and an excellent French Patisserie ( Au Gourmand) , a very good Italian Restaurant ( Al Dente) , a French Restaurant ( Chez Marcel) and local restaurants all on the same block. There were seats under shaded trees on the corner. Tourist attractions were within walking distance. The agent arranged transportation to and from the airport and the State Opera House. Zdenek the driver was a friendly asset to the company and only a text message away if we needed him as was the agent Vojtech. The apartment was very clean and of a very high standard with every conceivable comfort, even bath robes. I believe the apartment was renovated in 2010 and the facilities reflected this: parquet flooring, travertine tiles, chrome fixtures and fittings, and yet cleverly many original features had been retained and used in a practical manner. If you are after a home from home or a little luxury in Prague I would highly recommend this apartment.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway, age 55+.

My wife and I and another couple were fortunate enough to stay at this lovely apartment in the middle of old Prague. Location could not have been better nor could the accomodations have been any more exquisite. Everything close at hand (pub, market, butcher shop, florist, bakery and many restaurants). Tomas met us at the airport and made sure we were settled before leaving. We are very much looking forward to returning to Prague and we will make a point of staying at The White Swan. Thanks for contributing to the wonderful memories of Prague.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+.

We stayed in this beautiful apartment from September 29-October 8, 2011. I only wish we could have stayed longer. We were met at the train station by a representative of the apt. and I would highly recommend this to other travelers. We were overwhelmed by the luxurious nature and upscale amenities of the 2-bedroom suite, but we quickly got used to the parquet floors, crown moldings and dual kitchens. We found a grocery store, bakery, flower shop, restaurants, bars very close to the apt. We were centrally located, but were not overwhelmed by the tourists in the Old Town Square. Everything was perfect, and we look forward to returning to its luxury, beauty and safety. Many thanks to Tomas Ricar and to Zdenek.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, age 55+.

My wife and I visited the White Swan for 8 days while on our Honeymoon. We were treated with first class service by the property management staff. The apartment was so luxurious and spacious with a fully functional kitchen stocked with cookware and dishes. Grocery stores were within 1-5 minutes of walking. We thoroughly enjoyed the tranquility and warmth of the fire place. The White Swan was centrally located in the heart of Old Town. We walked everywhere we went. We could not have been in a better place in the city. Restaurants and cafes were located on every street. The White Swan is the place to go if you want to visit this beautiful City.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: This was Christmas Day 1954. I am not better looking now but I do know a bit more than I did then. In Prague everything is beautiful and most things are possible. Don't delay make your plans and if I can assist you in some way I would be very happy to do so. Kind Regards, Martin Smith
Why the Owner Chose Prague:
Having purchased two previous apartments in Prague when I found this one it was obvious to me what a hidden gem it was.
