  This was our second trip to Villa La Estancia (third trip to Cabo), though first trip through VRBO. The Owner (Jeff) was especially helpful in our process as well as provided tips for dining out which was great - considering we, as "tourists" have continued to frequent the same places the past two visits. With his list - we ventured out past our "original" comfort zone and were very thankful for the list! The Villa is exactly as it is described and appears in the photos. The master bath is WONDERFUL. The balcony is WONDERFUL. The space is WONDERFUL! The mattress in the master bedroom seemed to separate my husband and I (very hard "berm" in the middle), but our "kids" (21 yrs) in bedroom 2 had no complaints. Having been down there a year ago with a group who all had villas - we were able to dine in half of the nights there - which was our intent this go-round. I knew that unlike their villas last year - this particular villa has no grill on the patio - so cooking would have to remain indoors. My only real complaint about this unit is the lack of "kitchen stuff". I was able to make breakfasts creatively - but the cooking stopped there. We also had to buy a scrubber and dish soap to clean the dishes. It wasn't until housekeeping came on Sunday that we were left a small container of dishwasher detergent. In order to do laundry, we would have had to buy a full size bottle at the store as well. I had assumed (my mother told me never to assume anything... and I really should have asked) that like our friends units last year - that supplies would be there and as things are used up, the current guest replaces (detergents, pantry items, garbage bags, etc) - which I would have been more than happy to do! We did leave the kitchen soap, a brand new, unused bottle of mustard, mayonnaise, bottle of vodka (not like you can travel with it anyhow!) and an entire container of butter. I'm guessing this will get cleaned out by housekeeping, but maybe not. One last thought: Housekeeping came on Friday (a day and a half after we arrived) - I knew they were only coming once during our trip, so thought I had pre-scheduled them for Sat. When she arrived I asked her to return on Sat. Obviously language barrier/miscommunication as no one showed on Saturday. We were able to communicate better in person, in the lobby - and our room was cleaned on Sunday. Not a huge deal - though, if I'd have had laundry detergent, I wouldn't have hesitated to wash them myself.

  This unit was absolutely amazing. The pictures do not do it justice at all. We had a group of 7 friends which was perfect with the amount of beds and the terrace space. Every morning we would wake up with the sun on our deck and make breakfast in the large kitchen. We rented a car to get from the airport to the condo and pick up groceries on our first day, and after that we walked everywhere. It was the perfect distance to town! The property is also beautiful and well maintained, and the staff was always helpful. We spent most of our days down on the beach in the perfect mix of action and seclusion. Overall, it was a trip that could not be duplicated and the condo was perfect. We would definitely come back. Thank you Jeff!

  The unit is as described and the pictures well-reflect what is actually there. The location within La Estancia is pretty good although some other units might have better views. Having said that, we did not go to Cabo to sit on the balcony and the view from the unit is quite nice. We were in Cabo with a large group and others rented in the same development, too. So, we got to see a number of villas. Some were nicer in terms of updates and others were behind. If you price out available villas, and you are watching your wallet, this villa is a good deal. Owner was nice to work with, too.

  Just got back from out 10 day stay at La Estancia and had a great family vacation. Great accomodations, open floor plan, close to the beach. The property is quiet but also kid friendly. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Close to downtown and an easy water taxi from the arch and great restaurants. The owners were very helpful and flexible.

  The unit was extremely spacious and well-appointed. There was plenty of space for four adults to spread out. The kitchen was well-stocked. The patio is huge and a wonderul place to sit and read. The staff at the resort were very pleasant and helpful. They suggested wonderful places for dinner (we made breakfast and lunch in our unit - with the food we had bought at the nearby WalMart - which worked very well). Highly recommended is Maria Jiminez - a completely non-touristy, very reasonably priced, fantastic Mexican restaurant. We went back twice. A few drawbacks: we were there Christmas week and getting a lounge chair was a challenge unless you reserved it by about 9 am (both at the pool and the beach), the gym was crowded and there was a wait for the aerobic equipment. I'm sure this was because it was a very busy week and other weeks would not present this challenge. We found the internet access very frustrating - as did others at the resort (discussing this became a great way to meet people!). We were not able to get the internet to work in the unit. We had to go down to the lobby to get internet access - and even that was often spotty. Some might consider the lack of internet access a postive, but we didn't. Overall - a lovely place for a nice vacation.

  We only spent four nights at this beautiful condo and resort, but wished it was more! We will definitely come back again and stay longer. This property is absolutely gorgeous with one of the best views from the balcony that I've ever seen. The pools, gardens and ocean are all breathtaking. Our three teenagers thought the trip was fantastic and enjoyed the boat rides and parasailing, not to mention swimming in the pool every day and evening. We also really enjoyed walking into town for dinners since there were so many excellent restaurants to choose from. Jeff was so easy to deal with and answered all of my emails the same day. We will definitely come back to Cabo again and stay at Villa La Estancia!!

  Villa La Estancia is an incredible destination for a family get-away. The staff is amazing, the pool/beach are perfect for kids and adults and all near enough to town that you can walk there (on the beach) and catch the tourist stuff. Our villa was beyond expectations (clean, full of amenities, etc.), the owner was easy to work with and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back.

  My family (2 adults, 2 teenagers) just returned from a perfect Cabo vacation. The condo is spacious, lovely and comfortable. The patio that spans the length of the entire condo is a superb place for sunrise/sunset moments, evening family games or mid-morning brunch. This was our first time to Cabo and La Estancia--we plan to return and would not think of staying any place else. Words and even pictures cannot truly show the beauty of the property. Jeff ( the owner) was very easy to work with and always communicated quickly via email. We even received a phone call before we left to make sure we didn't have any other questions. He offered advice on restaurants, airport shuttles, and travel insurance. Cabo + La Estancia + this condo = a magical time for all.

  We were really happy with our stay in this unit at Villa La Estancia. It always feels like a bit of a risk finding a place over the internet, but in this case it was no risk at all. The descriptions of the resort and the unit were spot-on. The unit is large and comfortable. We travelled with another couple and we both felt like we had some privacy. The terrace was great. The resort was nice. Highlights were the beach area and the location (near downtown but not in downtown, so quieter). We were happy to be at Estancia and not one of the two sister resorts as they didn't seem quite as nice. Our only two complaints (and they are minor) is that we would have liked the kitchen to be better equipped in terms of pots/pans/utensils and cleaning supplies, and it was sometimes hard to find chairs at the beach or pool if you didn't go down early and stake out an area (but not too early or the attendants would eventually move your stuff). We had a great vacation and would definitely think about going back!

So many times, people that have not rented a vacation home over the internet are worried about a lot of things. I too have had these same feelings while renting units in Switzerland and Italy this past fall, but being a property owner I found that we as owners are all the same no matter where you go.   This was the perfect way to do Cabo for the first time...or anytime for that matter. The unit was Everthing that was promised and the some. Quite frankly, the pictures don't do it justice...it was a lot nicer than that. Jeff did a great job of communicating with is as to everything we would need to know. His descriptions were spot on. The unit and the facility was top notch. We will definitely do this again.
