You cannot experience the true Seaside with a daily visit, you must stay there to appreciate it. I have stayed in Seaside proper a few times and every time feels like the first...it is a remarkable place! Following Seas cottage was ideal...perfect, perfect location. The cottage was thoroughly stocked with every basic item you could possibly need to make your trip feel like you were home. I immediately got on line when I returned home to plan my next visit and hope Following Seas is available.

Everything was very nice. The only thing that frustrated me was when I arrived it was dark and there was not a porch light on, but thankfully I had a flashlight. I would suggest leaving a light on for late arrivals. But, overall, it was amazing. The location is great. I never got back in my car one time. It was very clean and well maintained. The ease of booking the location was great. I felt comfortable and the check in directions were very thorough, as well as the check out instructions. I loved the bikes and the amenities. It is a great peaceful and romantic getaway. I would come back and stay again.

Cozy cottage near the sea

This place is perfect for two. It is behind a larger house. All the houses there are close together and surrounded by trees that give lots of shade. Streets are brick or gravel. Virtually no traffic. The ocean is a very short walk across a busier street, but it is small and easy to cross with lots of crosswalks. Sunsets on the beach are gorgeous. Seaside is a charming place and, unlike Watercolors, the next settlement to the West, it has a vibrant town center with lots of shops and places to eat. People are milling around on foot, on bicycle. Its a very happy place. One "feature" of this cottage is that the hot water is generated as you need it (no reserve tank to speak of). It works very well, EXCEPT that it does not work at all when the HVAC is running. We had no warning of this and took one cold shower before we realized that we needed to turn HVAC off during showering. After we figured that out, all was well.

Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

Owner response: Thank you for your review and feedback. We have installed a new water heater and DVD player. The internet now works properly in the cottage as well.

Great Off-Season Break

This cottage is great for a couple and has all the essentials you really need for a vacation. The location near the beach and the town square is ideal, yet it also felt quite private. We had been wanting to stay at Seaside off-season after a couple of day trips during the summer, and this fully met our expectations. We rode bikes, shopped for art and souvenirs, and had several excellent meals in nearby Grayton Beach. We will probably be back!

Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Great Vacation

We arrived to a wonderful cottage that was very clean and well cared for. Our first time to Seaside and Following Seas and it will not be our last. We loved being able to walk everywhere and even when at the beach it was very easy to run across the street to get anything that we had forgotten. The cottage was equipped with anything that we needed for the week. We checked the pantry before we went to the grocery and it already had a lot of spices and other things that were on my list. One thing I learned from reading another post was to bring bug spray. We used a big can during the week due to the biting flies on the beach. There was one chair at the cottage and we added another before we left.. We bought an umbrella, but managed to get that in the car to take home. It was nice to be able to set up our own chairs and umbrella without having to pay each day. I thought I would miss a washer and dryer, but I only did a few hand washes and it worked out fine. There was someone in the big house when we were there, but we never saw or heard them. The cottage is very private and it is like being in a tree house when you are upstairs. We will be back again. I already miss it and we just got home yesterday.

Very cute cottage for 2 and the proximity to the beach was great. I will say that a full kitchen normally includes an oven which cottage did not have. The only real problem is the water temp and pressure in the bath/shower. Water was extremely hot and not easy to adjust and then go right to freezing before you can adjust it. Minor fix that the owner may want to take care of. Parking is difficult but I am sure that it was related to the July 4th week crowd.

I loved everything about this charming cottage including the location directly across from the ocean. It was immaculate and very tastefully decorated. Would recommend Lil Blessings without hesitation!

We are "locals" jaunting over from Santa Rosa County, and we felt transported to another life when we get to Seaside. Lil Blessings was a tremendous place to spend our first wedding anniversary (and my husband's birthday) and although the rain kept us indoors for a little while, we felt right at home here. Love it and would recommend it to anyone for a romantic get-away.

My husband surprised me with a short getaway for our 10th anniversary. I have always wanted to vacation at Seaside. Lil' Blessings was a wonderful surprise. It met all of our needs for our stay. It was perfect for the two of us. It was so cute and comfortable. It was located just a short walk down to the town center and all the shopping and restaurants. The beach was just across the street down a private walk. I look forward to returning to Lil' Blessings.

We had a great stay at this "doll house" rental. It was clean and fresh and we would most definitely recommend it to friends. We have several church friends that want to hear all about our stay at Seaside. I loved the bookstore in the shopping area and our daughter and family who also rented a place while we were there loved the bicycle trails and we all loved the beach and the easy access. The weather was perfect too. Thanks so much for making this place available to us. We look forward to going back to Seaside next year.

This was the perfect getaway...great location and amenities. We were able to walk all over Seaside and were just a few steps from the ocean. We would definitely stay here again. It was the perfect place to rest, relax and unwind. Thank you for sharing your "perfect" cottage.

Lil Blessings was a nice please to stay in Seaside. Very convenient location. The cottage is small, but well appointed and very clean. Every bit as cute as the pictures!

Brad and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lil Blessings! It was the perfect size for two and so nice to be across the street from the beach. The decor was fun and the unit was very well supplied. As usual, Seaside was a special place. We enjoyed meeting and visiting with the owner as well.

Comfortable cottage for 2 in great location

This is a very nice cottage...perfect location less than a block from the beach and 2 blocks from the square! Once we arrived, we only got in the car to go the grocery store 1 mile away--everything else is in walking distance. The cottage was nicely decorated and comfortable. I especially appreciated all the extra beach towels! This is the perfect place for a couple--and no more. We brought our 18 month old with us, and 3 was definitely a crowd (especially with the winding staircase)! So, next time I would stick to only 2 people. Just a few complaints: The listing says that there is WiFi--but it only works from the back patio because the connection is from the main house. Also, there is a DVD player as listed, but it did not work. I reported both these things, but nothing was done to correct the situation. These are minor issues, but were disappointing. Also, there was a little ant problem in the kitchen (which I was told was typical for the area), but we bought some ant spray at the store that easily took care of it. Other than that, it was a very nice place to stay and I would stay there again. You definitely can't beat the location!

My husband and I truly love Seaside and will certainly return to Lil' Blessings in the future. It was such a great location, had a great view of the ocean, and was decorated very true to seaside/coastal style. Mark and Shannon are very easy to work with and always accommodating. The cottage had everything we needed and we look forward to a future stay.

I surprised my wife with a quick trip for our anniversary. It was a perfect surprise for both of us. Excellent location with great access to the beach and Seaside businesses. The cottage is perfect for two (and no more). The local host greeted us and filled us in on things to do and eat and we had a great time. Not one thing I wish had been better.

I had a wonderful time in Seaside. This is not the first time we go, but this was the most enjoyable time. The cottage is awesome, well maintained, well decorated, very cozy. Ideal for two people. I most definetly stay there the next time I go. Thanks!

No hot water

While the cottage was beautiful and we did enjoy our stay, the hot water heater was broken. So, cold showers for two days. Please get this fixed for your next guests.

Owner response: The guest was offered the opportunity to move to a larger cottage, but decided to stay. We have since replaced the hot water system.

My wife and I stayed in Lil' Blessings for about a little over a week, and it made for a very enjoyable and romantic honeymoon. My wife kept commenting on how cute the whole place was. Although it's a bit small it fits a couple very nicely. We've stayed at a smiliar two-story one bedroom place in seaside, and Lil' Blessings was by far more enjoyable and comfortable than the other house. The layout for the bathroom was very spacious, and the overall layout made the flow of the house very enjoyable. Highly recommend for a couple if you are planning on staying at sea side. Great location close to the beach, as well as close to the resturants, coffee shops, etc in seaside.

Lil Blessings was truly a blessing for me and my fiance. We came to Seaside to scout it out for our wedding. Your house is the perfect size for us and the location was ideal for this visit! We would come every weekend if possible. The decor throughout the house is well planned and it is cozy, clean and exactly what was shown online with the pictures. The owner was helpful and I would recommend this place to everyone I know.

Lil' Blessings was the perfect place to stay while in Seaside. It was clean, comfortable, and the perfect location. We rode our bikes everywhere, walked to the beach and dinner, and couldn't have asked for a better vacation. I plan to stay here again the next time I visit! I would definitely recommend Lil Blessings! While the online photos of the cottage (and its great location) enticed us to stay, they did not do the cottage justice. The cottage was just perfect -- had just the amenities we needed, was spotless, and the attention to detail with the decorating was so impressive. The view of the ocean from the second floor and the quick walk to town made it that much better. It was very difficult to leave!

My husband and I recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Seaside, staying at Lil Blessings. The cottage was as charming as the website reflected. We think it is the best location at Seaside. It was so close to the square and the beautiful beaches. The cottage is well appointed and so very comfortable. We absolutely loved it. We certainly plan on returning just the two of us and will definitely use this vacation rental company when we are looking for some place to bring our two boys. It is a great little cottage, we had a wonderful, relaxing time. We would also recommend the Southern Cafe which is just a few blocks away. Great food!!! reasonable prices and a great Happy hour!!! Do not miss!!!

My husband and I stayed at Lil Blessings for our wedding anniversary and it was the perfect space for two people. The cottage is beautiful and extremely comfortable! It is also centrally located and right across the street from the beach. The only problem we experienced with Lil Blessings was the shower. It was either scalding hot or freezing cold and took a bit of work to get to a manageable temperature. That aside, it was perfect, and we hope to stay there again in the future!

Everything was as advertized. Great little house, perfect location accross the street from the beach and two blocks from downtown Seaside. We had a place for all the extra stuff we always seem to drag with us on vacation but never need. The bed was especially good for a rental home from past experience. The only downer was the internet access which was week and sporadic for that little bit of work I needed to do. Overall we would give it 4 1/2 stars.

I brought my daughter to Seaside for a mother/daughter trip and Lil' Blessings was perfect for our 4 night stay. My 15 year old daughter loved the cottage and compared it to a doll house. It is lovely, very clean, well maintained, and has all the conveniences one could need or want. We had a wonderful time... our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.

This was our first trip to Seaside and we rented the 1 bedroom Lil Blessings cottage. Seaside and the cottage were amazing! The cottage had everything we needed and was very clean and tidy. The recomendations of restaurants, bike rentals, etc from Sandpiper Rentals was very helpful for first timers like us! We were walking distance to everything and right across from the beach. We are already planning a trip back there soon!

We had the best time at Lil'Blessings! The decor was unbelievable and everything was so clean and new looking. The location was perfect. We felt like honeymooners while we were there, although we celebrated our 36th anniversary! It was a beautiful place to stay and soak up the sunshine and walk the beaches. We loved it!!
