This was the greatest place to stay. Wonderful ! All the amenities you could ever need. Great condo, excellent condition and you could even watch the humpback whales from the deck. We highly recommend this unit. Joan and Renee

It's a great location in a quiet part of the complex. The unit has everything you could want with a lot of personal touches that the other units do not have. The views of the islands are great and I would highly recommend it. Our stay was great!!

The description and photos for this listing are very accurate, we new exactly what the condo and grounds would look like before arriving. The condo was very homey, comfortable, clean and the counters and cabinets are beautiful. There are boogie boards, beach chairs and beach towels for your use.The safe in the condo is an added bonus. The appliances are new and their are many kitchen gagets. The condo was very quiet and the King bed was very comfortable. The property was very clean and well kepted and everyone was very friendly. The grills are new and were very clean and their are 6 coin-op washer and dryers on site. We never had to wait to do laundry and they worked very well. The condo has an ocean front view and you can hear the ocean from anywhere in the condo. You can see the ocean from the living room and the kitchen. So if you decide to cook you do not miss out seeing and hearing the ocean. We loved drinking our coffee, eating the fresh island fruit and watching the whales from the lanai every morning. There were times when we could not keep track of them all. (This is only the beginning of the whale season.) So be sure to bring your binoculars so you can see the tales flap and the whales breach. We did see rainbows over Molakai and you can snorkel right from the condo. We would go to DT Fleming beach which is only a 5-6 minute drive to the North. We loved to boogie board there. There are many restaurants near by and the Farmers Market is only a few miles away. Jan was very responsive with any of our questions before and during our stay. This is our 5th time to Maui and we would have to say that this condo and the location of the condo is our favorite so far. We hope to return soon. Thank you for sharing your home with us 12/23/10-1/6/2011.
Owner response:Thank you for staying with us and your time for commenting on our condo. We try to make it as enjoyable as possible. Anytime someone says it lacks something, which is not often, we provide it on my next trip there.

We stayed in this condo for a week in the first of December. The unit has recently been remodeled, is elegant and has all the comforts of home. It is in a quiet location away from the crowded area of Kanaapali but the Safeway (the best grocery in West Maui) in Lahaina is only a few minutes away. The view from the living room and lanai is fabulous. The building is right on the ocean and there is a great view of Molokai which is only about15 miles away. The condo is also close to several of the great beaches of northwest Maui. I highly recommend this property. It is also very reasonably priced for West Maui and the condo owner is very responsive and easy to work with.

My Wife and I have beet to Hawaii five times and prefer the area of this Condo over all others we have stayed at. This condo was exactly as represented in the VRBO advertisement. We have rented a number of Condo’s through this service and this was defiantly the best of any in an already very good group. It’s the first one that actually felt at home in and there was nothing that was not top notch. The renovation bill on this unit would not be one I would like to have paid for! There was lots of parking and the laundry facilities were plentiful and spotless as well. The BBQ facilities were clean and well looked after and the local residence were very friendly . It was truly a great experience that we will recommend to our friends and family and look forward to returning to ourselves! Watch for a group of turtles that feed at the break wall every morning early. We were a bit early for the Whales but it would be a great spot to watch them from. Thanks for the Great Rental Karen & Jim October 17/10 Canada

The condo is delightful. Recently remodeled, wonderful kitchen, great TV and other electronics and very comfortable bed. These features combined with the spectacular view of the ocean, the constant cooling trade winds, the private lanai, and nearby beach make this quiet condo a wonderful choice. We enjoyed the serenity of the area versus the hubbub of Kana'apali beach (only 5 minutes south). We discovered a favorite restaurant just minutes north and a well stocked market a couple of minutes away. Enjoying a late afternoon pina coloda on the lanai became a treasured ritual. Having done most of the touristy activities on Maui in the past, the condo afforded us the peace and quiet for a very restful vacation.

As I am writing this, I'm looking out at the lanai over the blue Pacific at Molokai island. If this isn't paradise, then nothing is. The owner has left no detail out in furnishing this beautiful unit, to assisting you with suggestions to do for the area, location of workout gyms, etc. This is truely a vacation home. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your vacation spot of heaven. Mike & Susan

There are many places to stay in Maui. I have stayed in busier resort areas in Kaanapali and in Kahana at other privately owned condos. This unit by far was my favorite. You are on top of the ocean. Not only do you have an unobstructed view of the ocean and islands, you can hear the ocean from the lanai and the living room. The lanai is completely private as well. I think I sat on the deck chair on the lanai for half of my stay. Inside the condo is very nice, clean, and updated. I cooked every night and the kitchen amenities far exceeded any condo I have stayed anywhere. I will definitely rent this unit again. Thank you for sharing it!

We recently stayed 39 days at Kahana Reef #321 and we loved it. This unit is well equipped in every way. Staying in #321 is like having all the comforts of your home on your vacation. Make sure you look at their 'youtube' video. The grounds are well maintained and look very Hawaiian. Being a smaller complex, you have quick access to the on grounds parking. Lahaina, Napili, Kapalua and many of the beaches are just a short drive (or bus ride) from Kahana Reef. The bus stop is only a couple of hundred steps away. The kitchen is well equipped with a large number of cupboards, new appliances and utensils necessary for long and short stays. They have cordless phones in both bedroom and living room and calling is free to the U.S. mainland and Canada. Free broadband internet is in this unit and it is very fast. TV is also in both bedroom and living room. They have more video/audio gear than we have at home. The lanai is perfect. You can watch the whales, surfers, kite boarders and wind surfers. Dine on the lanai with a million dollar view. If you want a home away from home, Kahana Reef #321 is the place.

The unit is well kept, in a good location Has supermarket and gas station within walking distance which proved to be handy - sunset over the water was amazing from balcony, and whale watching from balcony during the day was exciting. Hope to return soon and will definitely recommend Kahana Reef #321

We wanted a truly amazing place to stay on the ocean for our first trip to Hawaii, and Kahana Reef exceeded our expectations! My husband and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect location! We saw whales every day from the lanai! We spent just about every evening in Lahaina (being only 10 minutes away), enjoying the shops and restaurants! We can't say enough about how wonderful a trip we had! Thanks to Jan and Diane for providing the ideal Maui getaway!! We hope to stay again VERY soon!!

We had no idea how splendid, comfortable, and well equipped this condo was. It's right on the ocean which made whale watching from the lanai a core activity of our week long stay in Maui (bring your binoculars). The unit is on the third floor of a smaller building - very peaceful and relaxing - away from the throngs at the big resorts - yet close to restaurants and Lahaina. This very tastefully decorated unit was wonderfully supplied with everything we could want in the way of kitchen things, entertainment (cable, flat screen TV, DVD and stereo system), and even outdoor equiptment (beach mats, snorkel fins, boogie boards, and even the use of an ocean kayak). Our stay was truly a great experience and we very much look forward to returning.

We stayed at this condo in December 2009 and loved it. The condo is furnished very tastefully and has all the amenities one would want in a vacation home. The view from the lanai is amazing - my wife and daughter spotted whales one afternoon. The small beach nearby is cozy and is great for an ocean dip. It's a great place - we'd love to visit again.

The condo was beautiful and from the lanai we were treated to incredible views of the ocean, breath-taking sunsets and colorful rainbows. Our time there went too quickly of course; how could anyone want to leave paradise? The location is a perfect home base to great restaurants, fun activities and beach time. We will definitely come back (hopefully many times).

This condominium was great and served as a perfect base camp for my family of four. We truly felt like we were living in paradise. The proximity to great snorkeling and boogie boarding beaches was ideal and the amenities inside the condo worked out perfectly. For two starving teenage boys that need to stay connected to the world the world the well stocked kitchen and the free internet made for two happy boys. At the same time the lanai with the view of the ocean and the peaceful cool breezes made for a fabulous relaxing time for the parents. The best family holiday for all concerned. Can wan't to return.

The BEST 25th Anniversary trip you can imagine. It was relaxing from day 1. We spent a lot of time at the condo this trip. The updates are amazing. Everything you need is at your fingertips - including chilled beer mugs. They really thought of everything. Will go again and again. Thanks for the great memories.Oh yeah - the kayak is a great addition!!

The condo was amazing. Very clean, comfortable, and relaxing. The view from the balcony was breathtaking, and the location was perfect. We all loved our visit! We saw whales swimming from the balcony, the private beach next door was awesome, and breakfast just up the road at "The Gazebo" was the best! We did not have one tiny complaint and definately look forward to staying in #321 again! I recommend it to anyone and everyone planning to stay in Maui!

Late in our planning for our 4th visit to Maui, we added Kahana Reef #321 to our accommodations. In our previous visits, we stayed only at hotels and large condos. What a lucky break to select #321 to complement our accommodations. The relaxed environment, the beautiful new unit, and the great views made this a place to remember. We only wish that our entire stay in Hawaii would have been at Kahana Reef. We look very much forward to returning to #321.

We loved our time at Kahana Reef. The unit was very comfortable and fully equipped. The highlight was watching the whales from the lanai - and morning rainbows that were almost as regular as the Super Ferry sailing past Molokai. The sound of the ocean was so wonderful and healing. We are very thankful for an amazing holiday and would highly recommend this unit!

We are in the process of scheduling our second trip to stay in the condo. We loved the location. It's a little off the beaten path of Ka'anapali which is very nice. Still within driving distance to everything. It's like being at home in Paradise. Make your Costco stop before you get there and stock up on food/beverages and you're good to go. We even slept right out on the lanai, amazing. Beautiful set up without the tourist traps. We loved walking and snorkeling at the beach every day and then sitting out on the lanai and watching the sunsets in the evening.

We stayed at this beautiful condominium at a time when we needed a time of refreshment and rest. We found it in abundance. There is nothing that we did not like and we are planning for a return trip as soon as possible. The condo has been fully remodeled with new kitchen and bathroom facilities. The bedroom has a very comfortable bed and a flat screen for convenience. The sleeper sofa is comfortable, as well, so the accommodations have family friendly sleep accommodations. Kahana is away from the tourist areas which makes for a more relaxing stay but it is only a few minutes away by car, so it is easy to get to restaurants and nearby stores. We ate many of our meals at the condo, which made the whole trip more affordable. It was a simple thing to get to Lahaina or Kaanapali or to the beaches to the north within minutes. We spent most of our time on the lanai listening to the surf and watching the ocean. We always felt safe and comfortable. There were few neighbors around during our stay so it also felt like we had nearly the whole place to ourselves! For those who would appreciate a quieter and simpler way to experience Maui, we highly recommend that you give Kahana a try. You will be glad you did!

Wonderful stay at this waterfront condo. Private and secluded with panoramic view of Molokai, it is also closeby (walking distance) to great beaches and restaurants which made it ideal for a totally restful vacation. The condo is in perfect conditon, elegant and cozy. The view, gentle breezes, and ocean waves significantly enhanced our first visit to this island.

We LOVED this condo! The screened front door (which can be locked from the inside) and the lanai provide wonderful breezes coming off the mountain when they are both open. It's the perfect quiet place to relax, refresh and restore. It's a quick drive North to surfing and snorkeling areas. And a quick drive south brings you to shopping, more beaches, the town of Lahaina and restaurants. The condo was in great condition, well-furnished, immaculately clean, and the view was unbeatable! Food tip: the kitchen has most utensils and pans, dishes and utensils, so you can do your own cooking - but don't purchase too much food, so you can eat out at the restaurants!

Such a comfortable and clean condo. Everything is new, the furniture, flooring, the well equipped kitchen, bath, and electronics. The flatscreens, I-home and wireless were nice, the large bed is comfortable. It's positioned for a full ocean view from the kitchen and and living room. The third floor view felt like we were on a cruise boat. We enjoyed the whale spouts from the lanai. The adjacent beaches are nice. The Kahana area has dining and amenities nearby, some within walking distance and Lahina is an easy drive.

This condo is totally remodeled and very nice. The kitchen is new and fully equipped, the furniture is new, attractive & comfortable. The king size bed and bathroom are clean and comfortable as well. The arrangement allows for a full ocean view from the living room, kitchen and lanai. This third floor view ocean view made us feel like we were on a cruise ship. We enjoyed watching whale spouts from the lanai. The unit was perfectly maintained and very clean. The adjacent beaches are nice and a few good dining spots are within walking distance. The Kahana area has all the amenities you'd want, yet it's still an easy drive into Lahina. We would surely stay here again.
