New years weekend 2011

Going Coastal was great. We had five adults and one child. The size and layout of the house were perfect for our family. The location within Seaside could not have been better, 1 block from the community shops and food and 2 blocks from the pool. We'll be back.

Great Christmas trip

We really enjoyed our stay at Going Coastal. We have stayed on 30A many times over the past 8-9 years and this was the best location we have chosen. We could actually count the number of steps it took us to get to Modica Market each morning. The house is older and a true beach cottage by design. Not as luxurious as some of the homes we have rented previously but we know this is what Seaside was meant to be. An unpretentious and casual beach paradise.

Sandpiper Vacation Rentals provides great rental options and great service

"Going Coastal" is a well maintained, roomy, and relaxing property in a great location just a 5 minute walk away from Seaside's central square area and the many beach area shops/restaurants. We enjoyed our stay and plan to rent through Sandpiper Vacation Rentals in the future.

classic beach cottage

Guest: Dave (GA)
Date of Stay: 06/26/11 Review Submitted: 07/03/11

The house fit our family of five with room to spare. It has the feel of an "old school" beach cottage, which we liked. The location is great with very easy access to the retail, east side pools, and fitness. The Ruskin pavilion is a quick three block walk, with an uncrowded beach. The house is a bit rough around some edges (screens need repair, some fixtures are loose, etc.) but overall it was great.

We didn't miss staying on the beach

We have been going to the Seagrove area for Spring Break for the past 15 years, always staying on the beach. We have always traveled to Seaside for the shopping and restaurants and decided to try a visit in Seaside and give up the beach front location. I have to say it was well worth it. The slow pace of Seaside was a great break. We didn't have to get in the car to go anywhere -- everything was right there. The walk to the beach was no big deal. And, I enjoyed sitting on the porch in the morning listening to the birds sing, and hearing the rattle of bike chains as families rode by. The house was perfect. We only had four people in our group, but it easily could have accommodated more. There was even parking for three cars - something most rentals don't offer. The best part of the house was having a separate bedroom for each of our daughters, and everyone had their own bathroom. There was no waiting while someone else got ready. Everything was clean and comfy. The best part of the location was it was off the main square so it was very quiet, but it was still close to everything. We had bikes delivered to the house for our stay, but we didn't use them as much as I anticipated -- we enjoyed the strolls to the pool, beach, and restaurants. I also liked that someone could run up to the market if we needed something. It was very close. The photos did not do justice to this house, It was bigger than we had pictured. I'm hoping to go back with friends.

Enjoyable stay at "Going Coastal"

Guest: Family of 4 (Signal Mountain, TN)
Date of Stay: 12/26/10 Review Submitted: 01/04/11

My family of 4 had a nice week in this cottage. It was very spacious for a family our size - we actually had two completely unoccupied beds. It's in a nice central location for Seaside, with an equally quick walk to Modica Market and shopping or to the pools and tennis courts. The beach was also nearby; we tended to enter at the E. Ruskin pavilion which was just a few minutes walk away. Overall we had a great time at Going Coastal, and I would recommend it to other families our size and even for families a little larger than ours.

Great family Time

The location and the management company are the two most favorable things about this house. The ability to easily walk everywhere was a plus with two 4 year olds and grandparents in tow. No one whined or complained. Porch and floor plan are also very nice. The home is not luxurious but more than adequate/comfortable. We stayed in a much nicer home last August and heard complaining about having to drive places. The home is ideally situated. The management company was very helpful with any little concern/question that came up during our stay. Overall great experience.

We didn't want to leave!

After a week in Seaside at Going Coastal, my family, including (3) teenage girls, were all in agreement, Seaside and Going Coastal are now our favorite vacation destination in Florida. Going Coastal is a excellent house that is perfectly located in Seaside, just a short walk away from the beach, pools, tennis courts, shops, market and the center of town. My Wife proved that you can park your car and not need it again. We strongly recommend Going Coastal to anyone.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Going Coastal. The accomodations exceeded our expectations. Very spacious and open living, dining and kitchen areas. Very convenient to the shops and restaurants. Very enjoyable experience working with Mark with Sandpiper Vacations as well.

We had a great week in Seaside. We loved the cottage and its close proximity to the town center and the beach. The only negative is the outside shower isn't easily accessible. We would have had a lot less sand in the house if it had been easier to shower off after a day at the beach.

We thoroughly enjoyed our July 4th visit to Going Coastal cottage. The cottage is well maintained, has a great layout, and the location is convenient to all Seaside amenities. Sandpiper Vacation Rentals made our visit effortless. Thanks for a great vacation! We will be back!

We loved the cottages location and floor plan and layout. Very nicely decorated. LOved the kitchen table! Great front porch. Only negative was that the housekeeper did not have it really well cleaned before we got there.
