Magnificent Memorial Day Weekend!

My Memorial Day Weekend was fabulous! This rental is as beautiful as it shows on the HomeAway website. My family and I had a great time on the property. We enjoyed being able to walk right onto the beach, and the time we spent grilling out on the deck. We couldn't have asked for more. The owners were great with keeping in contact, and were very enjoyable to work with. This was the second time out in Manistee, and hopefully it won't be my last. Thanks Craig and Nancy.

We had a fantastic time at this house! Even my father, who doesn't stay with people as a rule, stayed with us and had a marvelous time. The owners are easy to reach and helpful and the caretaker was fantastic. The entire house is like a great hotel, the linens, towels, beds everything is comfortable, clean and seems almost brand new. The only downside was trying to put the kids to bed with the sun streaming in from the lakeview windows. If this is the biggest problem you have, you don't have any real problems, right? We look forward to staying here again if possible.

I have rented several homes on Lake Michigan in the last ten years and this is far and away the best. All of these expensive rentals had issues with towels, linens, cleaning, bugs, appliances not working or all of the above. Not so here. Everything was as if it was out of House Beautiful. High end everything, turkish towels, wifi, ipod home, granite everywhere, I am home at last. There is lots to do in the area and I found great deals at the stores in town. We also went on a dune ride and tubing down the Manistee River. We visited Ludington and watched a meteor storm that lasted for two nights out on the deck. Even when it rained it was fun to watch the lake change and the boats go by. Body surfing was great and the bottom was sweet, sweet, sand. After many rentals I finally found one I will be going back to for a second time. I was starting to think I would never find it. I thought it may not exist but here it is. As an added bonus the owners are just plain good people. I will be reserving early because this gem will be snapped up as soon as the word gets out. Oh yah, the house looks better in person too.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The house was spacious, well-furnished and immaculate; the kitchen well-equipped. Both our young children and our parents found the path down to the beach accessible, and we enjoyed many walks along the beautiful sandy shore. There is lots to do in the area. We picked blueberries, hiked, saw lighthouses, watched ships come in the channel, and of course sampled the many ice cream places in the area. The owners were wonderful, and they have lots of information on local attractions readily available at the house. Anything we didn't have pamphlets on we were able to look up online thanks to the wifi access throughout the house. I would highly recommend this property.

This house is absolutely beautiful and immaculate. A group of 8 of us have been renting homes throughout the US for our annual new year's ski trip for the past 10 years and this one was hands down THE BEST! The home feels brand new and has been kept in excellent condition. It is right on the beach with amazing views from every room except one. The home is enormous and when the basement is finished it will be even more spacious. There is a sound system installed throughout the house with volume controls in each room, which was a nice added bonus. Each couple in our group had their own bedroom with their own private bathroom. The house is sparsely decorated which is both a pro and a con. It means that there aren't knick-knacky things all over the home, but it also means that there are a few spaces where furniture is noticeably absent. Regardless, the house was absolutely perfect for our stay. I can only imagine how beautiful the beach and lake are in the summer!

We had such a wonderful time in Manistee! What a beautiful house !! The owners are fantastic and were so accommodating and helpful at getting us information on things to do there. The house is in top shape and we are planning on trying to come back for a month this summer. I would recommend it to anyone. The only thing that we could add to our wish list, is a tv and king size bed in the master bedroom, but that's because we are spoiled rotten. By the way the sunsets are gorgeous. Thanks again to the owners for making our thanksgiving perfect.

If you are looking for somewhere to soak up the sun, avoid packed beaches, and enjoy the water. This is the place to be! My family and I rented this House last August. We had beautiful weather, the house and its amenities were accommodating and cozy. Each bedroom has its own bath/shower and a view of the water. At night we left the doors open to hear the waves lap on the beach and feel the breeze off Lake Michigan. The house has its own private walk out to the beach, you will be bothered by no one! It was wonderful. I highly recommend this property. Not only is the house beautiful and well maintained, the city, Manistee, is a charming bonus. A couple of our favorite spots include the Tuscane Grille, Goody's coffee, the Organic grocery and the Cheese/Wine shop.
