A vacation on a privately owned tidal island is quite wonderful if you are interested in something a bit out of the ordinary, spectacular 360 degree water views and a vacation that is truly restful.
The location is a dream come true for any photographer, artist, kayaker or outdoor enthusiast seeking a cottage so completely furnished that the need to go "off island" is eliminated once you arrive with linens and groceries.
The Boat House at Long Point Island is not for everyone; we do not allow large parties or families with children, the island and cottage are smoke free, and pets need to remain at home so that the visiting wildlife (including a bald eagle) are undisturbed for the enjoyment of the guests. - Telephone: You can use this for dial up if you bring a computer. Guests have used their Blackberries for internet connection as well.
