A vacation on a privately owned tidal island is quite wonderful if you are interested in something a bit out of the ordinary, spectacular 360 degree water views and a vacation that is truly restful.
The location is a dream come true for any photographer, artist, kayaker or outdoor enthusiast seeking a cottage so completely furnished that the need to go "off island" is eliminated once you arrive with linens and groceries.
The Boat House at Long Point Island is not for everyone; we do not allow large parties or families with children, the island and cottage are smoke free, and pets need to remain at home so that the visiting wildlife (including a bald eagle) are undisturbed for the enjoyment of the guests. - Air Conditioning : Not available and not necessary because the cross ventilation from all the windows provides a cooling breeze when you need one!
- Linens Provided : For an additional service fee of $100.00 you may request that bed linens & bath towels be provided. This must be arranged in advance of your arrival.
- Off Street Parking : Parking provided off island in cul-de-sac on mainland. Easy walk to island at low tide over the tidal plain, or a scenic rowboat ride over at high tide.

- King Bed : King size bed with view of Casco Bay and outer islands. Ample storage, large bedroom with window wall for breeze and views.
- Double Bed : Second bedroom with one double bed and a set of bunk beds with a view of a serene lagoon with moored boats.
- Bunk Bed : A set of bunk beds in second bedroom with view of the lagoon and moored boats.

- Full Kitchen : Fully equipped kitchen including a full size stove and oven with microwave above. Refrigerator with freezer, panini maker, hand blender, mixer, plates, dishes, bowls, wine glasses, and more and more and more!
- Cooking Utensils Provided : Everything you can possibly think of you might need including kitchen towels, paper towels, napkins, spices, lobster picks/crackers, lobster pot, wine opener, bottled water for drinking etc.
- Refrigerator : Big enough to bring what you need and "hunker" down for a wonderful time of relaxation. Freezer on top.
- Microwave : Microwave above the full size stove & oven.
- Outdoor Features
- Charcoal BBQ Grill : Charcoal briquettes, BBQ chimney, paper, lighter fluid, matches and BBQ utensils are all provided so that you don't have to carry briquettes etc over!
- Deck/Patio : Dining table & chairs with cushions on Casco Bay Deck. Also seating on Lagoon Deck. Outstanding, ever-changing views to enjoy while you eat or simply relax on the deck! Tilting umbrella to protect you from the direct sun.
- View/Location
- Beachfront : This is a privately owned tidal island which has a protected lagoon on one side and faces Casco Bay and the Atlantic Ocean beyond. The location has a 360 degree water view! Spectacular!

- Telephone : You can use this for dial up if you bring a computer. Guests have used their Blackberries for internet connection as well.
