Very clean and secluded, just as advertised. The only thing that made our trip less than perfect is that I had to leave our two little dogs at home.

This is our 2nd year coming for a quiet weekend. We didn't even look for a different place to stay our first trip was so perfect! The Tiptons keep the cabin clean and are very accommodating. The cabin is secluded in beautiful woods...the hot tub is private and open to the stars...the fireplace was perfect. If you're looking for a quiet/private weekend, romantic or with girlfriends, this place is perfect and for a great price!
Owner response:Carrie... Thanks for staying again and hope to see you again real soon! Chuck & Lisa

We loved this cabin. We stayed Dec 23-27. It was VERY clean and nicely decorated. It had everything we needed and more!!! I was so surprised and excited when we arrived and they had put up a Christmas tree. It was so thoughtful. The cabin is very secluded and private. It is also close to everything and easy to get in and out. I would highly recommended any Tipton Cabin. We also enjoyed meeting you and hope you have a very Happy New Year!!! We will return. Owner response:Jason & Lori, Good to meet you guys! Glad you had a good time! We apriciate your buisness and hope to see you again real soon! Chuck & Lisa Tipton

My husband & I spent 4 days at the Lady Slipper in mid-August. It was all we expected - secluded, quiet, clean - perfect for getting away for some much needed R&R. I loved being able to sit on the deck for my morning Bible Reading and listening to the birds and the quiet. We would highly recommend this cabin or any the Tipton's offer for your next vacation. Chuck and Lisa were very gracious hosts. God Bless.

Our family had a great stay. Opening the door to the cabin the first time left a wonderful impression! It is very nice to walk into a place that you can smell, see and feel is clean and well taken care of!! Tipton Cabins are basically spotless. It is obvious a lot of TLC goes into the Tipton Cabins. You have been able to offer your guests a true home away from home while on vacation:) The kids loved the room names upstairs and they fit their personalities....they had chosen which room each one wanted to sleep in when we did the virtual tour. We didn't know the rooms were named and it couldn't have been more of neat experience for them. My husband and I have stayed in one of your other cabins but this one is totally secluded in the woods. Very peaceful and a lovely deck to sit out on. We got to watch deer at dusk get up from where they had bed down for the day and as we were loading up to head out on our last morning we had the fun time of watching a Pileated Woodpecker! You do require a vehicle to get around. This cabin is not like a few of their other cabins that are within walking distance of restaurants and activities in Townsend. The ONLY improvement would be the main bed downstairs. It is extremely hard, so we took the blankets that we had brought with us and spread them out on the sheet for extra padding.

Our family of 4 just spent several days at Lady Slipper, Tipton Cabins. It was such a relaxing experience! The cabin was gorgeous, secluded and had all the amenities we needed. It was such a pleasure to soak our tired bones in the hot tub after strenuous hikes in the Smokies. It was also great to throw our dirty clothes in the washer/drying and have clean clothes in the morning. We liked that we could cook breakfast and dinner, and we packed lunches for daily hikes. I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for quiet and seclusion. We live downtown Chicago and felt the green scenery and quiet sounds of nature filled our souls and rejuvenated us. I can image this cabin being cozy in the winter months. Lastly, but most importantly, the owners are a pleasure to work with.

Our stay in the Lady Slipper was by far the best vacation experience we have had. The cabin was spotless and well maintained. The Tipton family was very friendly and thorough. The location was secluded and private but yet at the hub for numerous activities in the Smoky Mountain National Park. We hope to make this an annual trip with our family.

We were looking for a private quiet place to unwind for a couple of days. The quality of the cabin, the cleanliness, the hot tub, the privacy were truly wonderful. The Tiptons were very accomadating even bringing extra wood in place of some that got wet. They even offered a discount since there were only two of us and we didn't need all the rooms. (There were a number of places that wouldn't do that.) We will keep them on the top of our get-away list.

We had a wonderful time at the Tipton's cabin. We needed to get away and relax and that is exactly what we did in the quiet of the woods. The cabin was very clean, and it was nice to be able to cook our meals right there in the nice kitchen. The whirlpool was great! We also enjoyed being able to take day trips since it wasn't a far drive to many things. (Cades Cove, Gatlinburg, and Pigeon Forge) We would highly recommend the Tipton's cabin. ยท By Deb from Rockford MI on 3/2/2011 for a stay in 2/1/2011

The cabin was in an outstanding location in Townsend. It is a gorgeous place set in the middle of the woods with no cabins any where around. There are beautiful windows with wonderful views of the woods all the way around the cabin. It is secluded and private with an amazing hot tub, wrap around deck and great fireplace. The interior and exterior is very well maintained and in excellent shape. The kitchen was clean with all the comforts of home. It was set up so that all you need to bring was your food! The bedrooms and baths were pristine as well. Firewood was provided for us to use in the fireplace. The owners even made an extra trip out on Christmas Eve to replish our firewood supply! This was a great thing since it started snowing Christmas Eve and continued on in to the 26th! We stayed in the cabin, watching the snow come down and kept a fire burning constantly. We get away each year to spend Christmas in the Smokies and this was by far THE best cabin we've stayed in and THE best owners that we've had the pleasure of staying with. We had high expectations after reading about the place, and the cabin still exceeded our expectations! This was definitely a home away from home! Thank you again for a wonderful holiday trip! We WILL be coming back!! We've already told several of our friends!

My husband and I love this cabin! It is secluded and private which gives us the peace and quiet we are looking for when we go on vacation. The cabin is beautiful, roomy and has always been clean. We highly recommend this cabin for couples get-aways or even families wanting to stay near Cades Cove which is only minutes away.

We had a true get away with the privacy and space this cabin promised to provide. Even with some thunderstorms that moved through we felt completely safe and protected. We thoroughly enjoyed the hottub and the beautiful trees that surrounded us by day and the stars overhead at night. We can't wait to get back!

Lady Slipper is the BEST cabin and property ever! We have stayed here the past two years for our anniversary and don't plan on ever going anywhere else to get a cabin. We have found our home away from home! When I first found this cabin online, I thought awesome, sounds wonderful.Well, let me say, the descriptions and pictures do not do this cabin and property the justice it deserves. It is the PERFECT getaway if you want a romantic and peaceful getaway. The cabin is always in clean and upkept condition and the hot tub is to die for. Townsend is definately the peaceful side of the Smokies. I sit on the front porch every morning either reading or watching all the wonderful wildlife the properrtty has to offer, which is abundant. There isn't even a quarter of the people and touristy stuff like there is in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. However, anywhere you go, everthing you want to see is a short drive from Townsend. Cade's Cove, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Clingman's Dome, Foothills Parkway, Cherohala Skyway, Dragon's Tail, Smoky Mountain National Park, all within a half hour or so away from this gem of a cabin. The owners, Lisa and Chuck, are trully wonderful people. They are always so welcoming and really make our stay delightful. They give you complete privacy and yet they are just down the road if you need them. The only time we see them is when we check in or pass them on the road, which doesn't have much traffic at all. We see maybe 2 or 3 cars a day coming and going. The Tipton's are wonderful people and they and their cabin is the only place I would recommend staying if you are planning a mountain getaway. Thank you SO MUCH for offering this cabin, as well as the hospitality that the South is known for :)

Dear Tipton's, Yes....this is the place we have been looking for. Our family vacation this year is one to remember. We loved cades cove and tubing the river. But the best part was to come back to the cabin and relax. We really hate to leave and look forward to returning this fall. We have now found our hiding place from the rest of the world. A true peace of heaven. Thank You..... and see you this fall. Jim & Lisa... Shelly & Todd

We just left the lady slipper cabin. All we can say is wonderful!. We did not know what to expect but the cabin was great and this most secluded we have ever stayed in. nothing like pigeon forge or gatlinburg. We did do a little fishing and visited cades cove two times and done a little hiking. The best part was the cabin and the quietness & how private the whole forest was. This was the best aniversary yet. We will be back with the kids next year. Dan & Linda
