We stayed in Lana's Loft for 3 nights as part of 7 night trip. It was a great change from staying in a hotel. The building, garage, and loft were very clean and we really liked having a kitchen. It was also nice having a washer and dryer which allowed us to pack a little lighter for the rest of the trip. All in all it was a perfect fit for our trip.

My wife and I stayed in the loft (upstairs unit) for two nights during our Honeymoon trip to Paso. The place was immaculate - very well maintained, clean and with great features. There was plenty of room for the two of us and could easily accommodate 4 adults w/ the futon. The balcony was a nice plus to enjoy a romantic evening and the large spa-like tub would be perfect for a relaxing get-a-way. We were both very upset to have to leave and would definitely rent again!

A very sweet and charming getaway. It is a perfect little bungalow for 2. The only negative would be the dresser is a little chalanging and there is no internet. Other than that is is a wonderful, quite location with a lot of privacy and many perks from your typical motel. I baked a pie the 1st night. Many creature comforts of home. Would definitely rent again.

My husband and I rented this studio for 5 nights to attend my daughter's wedding. This is a really cute place! Enough room for 2 to be comfortable. Nice bath, plenty of closet space, cozy kitchen. I was greatful the 2 burner stove top was gas, so much easier to use! The washer/dryer was a lifesaver. The decor is simple and the place is newer with lots of wood and painted in a light green. Lots of windows and a small patio with BBQ out back. The house sits behind one facing the street, so it is pretty quiet. We were close to everything so that was a real plus for our busy days. I highly recommend Shalom Rest. The owners were very responsive and eager to please.

The bones of this tiny little studio are great. The interior finishes like tile, faucets, door hardware and lighting are great. The location is great. But the positive features are over shadowed by what is lacking. The bed is creaky, the dresser drawers stick, the dining table is on it's last legs and the dining chairs are hard as rocks. The cold tile floors could use an area rug. The windows are badly in need of a cleaning and the roller shades don't work properly. The television is very old and only gets 4 channels; two of them are shopping channels, one is infomercials and one is news (the VRBO ad says cable / satellite). We bought batteries for the remote hoping it would work but it didn't. The owners are responsive but not proactive. We had to contact them for every bit of information we received about our stay. On Sunday morning at about 7am someone with a laundry basket walked into our room unaware that it had occupants. I'm guessing our little studio doesn't get too many guests. This could be such a nice, cozy little place with a little work and some decent furnishings.
