Pelican's Perch is an upscale, luxury townhouse condo less than 16 yards from the water of the Gulf of Mexico. The condo has 1,400 square feet of interior living area plus two large, 'L' shaped decks that wrap around the condo. Each deck has panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico on one side and the heated pool on the other. A gas grill is provided. Local zoning rules allow 6 people to reside in the condo. This limit is strictly enforced. Free high speed DSL Internet access is provided. The master bedroom features a king-size bed with an open water view. The second bedroom has queen and twin beds. A queen-size bed pulls out from a sofa on the first floor. A large, six boat dock and heated pool are a one minute walk away. The dock is located at the mouth of the Key Vaca Cut, providing good fishing & easy access to both the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. Dockage is first come first served with owners having priority. Backup dockage is available off site if needed.
Renters have use of 3 bikes (2 rental type bikes and 1 kids BMX bike) full beach gear such as beach chairs, umbrellas, mats, toys, fishing gear, pool noodles, and some snorkeling gear. Board games are included inside the condo.

This experience was amazing for us. The condo made our experience the best because it was so clean and comfy. It was a nice place to know we could come back to after exploring all that the keys have to offer. We thoroughly enjoyed everything the condo had to offer, including the pool, location, view, and spacious living space. Thanks to the owner Jeff for a great rental. The unit was very accommodating. We had everything we needed to cook fresh seafood dinners & sit & relax after going to the nice beaches in Marathon & especially Bahia Honda [just to the South]. We've been to Florida many times & this was a very nice rental. Clean, nice beds, nice layout, use of bikes, nice pool, & great views. And the way it was represented on the internet was exactly what you got, which is not always the case. Highly recommended!!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a great experience and the condo was wonderful! Very clean and well supplied with everything you need to feel at home. Lots to do in the area and enjoyed riding the bikes each day for exercise and getting down to the beach. Central located in the keys short drive to Key West for a fun day. Enjoyed the ride on a Air Boat by Zak. Jeff was easy to work with and very helpful with all his information on places to see and eat. Would love to return next year again and HIGHLY recommend this condo and location in Marathon.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, romantic getaway.

This is the second time we have stayed at Pelican Perch and we will return again. The views are spectacular especially the sunrise. The small community is quiet and friendly. Jeff meticulously maintains the property and is a delight to work with. We have been coming to the Keys for 36 years. Pelican Perch is centrally located to everything that is the Keys.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

The condo exceeded our expectations. The photos did not do justice to the upstairs bedrooms. The owner was resourceful and extremely helpful in supplying information. The sunrise from the master bedroom was every morning worth waking up for. We enjoyed the dolphins at Hawk's Cay and the Dolphin Resource Center. We were in the wrong season for surfing around the condo; there was no fish. A bonus on New Years Eve was a two-hour long life concert at the restaurant across the Gulf and the awesome fireworks at midnight. For the rest it was a great place to relax. We hope to be back!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Don't be affraid of this rental. The unit is everything it's advertised to be plus more. The unit is clean, comfortable, well maintained and in a great location. Jeff is easy and truthful to deal with. He gives you great hints on what to do and see if your new (as we were) to the area. We have NO complaints. Would recommed this property. The condo was very well appointed with all that you need for a relaxing or active vacation. The description of the condo was accurate with pictures and location. The location was central to all activities in Marathon Key, grocery, drug stores, department stores, several restaurants were a short drive. The property was extremely clean and well maintained. The pool was an easy walk, the parking very convenient, the views spectular, the grounds well kept. Jeff the owner was easy to deal with, and answered any questions, and provided lots of literature and suggestions of thing to do. I would recommend this property to anyone. We enjoyed the Marathon Lady fishing excursion, The Dolphin Research Center, The Turtle hospital. We dined and enjoyed The Island Fish Company, Sparky's , Key Fisheries. We traveled to Key West for an overnight, and enjoyed The No Name Pub in Big Pine Key on the way. Key West was about an hour away and not to be missed.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: Our family is comprised of a public servant, retired French & Spanish teacher, Air Force Officer, and Spanish teacher. Our family was raised in Troy, Ohio where Jeff and Peg currently live.
Why the Owner Chose Marathon:
The views from the balconies are spectacular. The Gulf water is less than 16 yards away. The pool is beautiful. The dock on the Vaca Cut is a great place to fish. The condo is centrally located beetween Key Largo and Key West. The condo is spacious, 1,400 square feet of interior living area plus the two balconies. The condo is a lot better than it looks in pictures.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The two water front balconies are located on the east side of the building. This provides valuable afternoon shade while sitting on the decks. Even during the hot summer afternoons, the balonies are surprisingly comfortable with the shade and sea breeze.
