My husband and I stayed here for a week in April. It was so clean and comfortable! You will not go wrong staying at this property. The view from the master bedroom was amazing, and the home was well stocked with everything you would need for a week.

We had a great week at Pelican's Perch and Marathon. We have rented several vacation properties and this is definitely one of the best. Well maintained, appointed and CLEAN. Our teenagers enjoyed the pool and tennis court. We snorkeled and went fishing. Spent a day in Key West and enjoyed the sunset at Zachary Taylor State Park. We also discovered Curry Hammock State Park. It is a quiet beach just east of the condo. Nice beach and shelters plus they rent kayaks...few people.

Jeff: My wife & I just spent 3 weeks (Nov 12-Dec 3rd-11) at your condo. It was fantastic! Lot's of room and great views from condo. It is a very quiet area & friendly neighbours. No rain for the full 3 weeks, but very hot & humid. Condo very clean and everything you described. Spent lot's of time on dock catching fish and watching local Sea Turtles off dock. Lot's of Iquina's around checking things out. Nice & close to Key West and easy driving. Visitors must check out the Dry Tortogus, Robbies, Islamorada, and of course Key West. Lot's of great places to eat. Too many to name, but Lucky Days Two, Key Colony Inns, & Island Fish Company were favourites. Lot's of local fishing charters close by and of course went. Had great days of fishing for fish and then taking them to local places to cook and eat. Definetly the best place we have ever stayed at on VRBO and will be going back next year. We have used VRBO to Maui, San Diego, Los Cabos,St. Lucia, St. Petersburg, Treasure Island, & this is the best we have vacationed at so far. Mike & Diane Rusnak Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

What a great place to stay for a vacation in the Keys. So close to everything but not so busy like Key West. We had a wonderful time staying at this great condo. Very clean and well kept. It was even better than I had hoped for. My wife and I stayed with our one year old and her Grandma (baby sitter so we could go scuba diving!). The two bedrooms upstairs gave us the space we needed so the little one could sleep and the adults could relax down stairs and not worry about waking the baby! The washer and dryer, full kitchen, beach gear, bikes, fishing equipment all made it feel like we were at home with all the stuff you could need for a week in the islands! Thanks again we will be back!

We just spent a week in Marathon and absolutely loved the laid back atmosphere of the island. The weather unfortunately did not cooperate (which we hear is very unusual not to have beautiful sunny days) but we were so comfy in the condo with everything we could possible need that we didn't mind the rain(too much)! We loved the bike/walking path that was nearby and Jeff sent us great suggestions for restaurants, places to visit and maps. The pool, dock and balconies were great as well as the beaches when the weather finally cleared. The condo was very clean when we arrived and even nicer than the pictures. The online booking prcoess was very easy and Jeff was always very prompt with a response to any question. We definitely plan on returning. I would definitley recommend this to any one looking for a low key, relaxing week but with pleny to do if you want.

We spent labor day week 2011 in Jeff's condo. After spending 10 years in Marathon for vacations, we have finally found the best place we have ever rented. The property is beautiful and very well kept. The condo was spotless when we arrived, with everything you could possibly need, available for cooking your own meals. The furniture was so comfortable it was hard to get up and get moving in the morning. The beds were great, and we all got great sleep every night. The views were fantastic from the condo. Many times we have arrived at a rental, and the pictures on the websites look nothing like the place actually is. Jeff is the 1st owner we have rented from to display, and explain his condo to the T. It looks even better than it does in the pictures. We rent a boat every year while in Marathon, and the dock on this property is fantastic. Jeff sent us alot of information on things to do, see, and places to eat. He does everything possible to make sure your vacation is great. After we got home, i mailed him back the keys, and was amazed at how quickly we received our deposit back from him. If you are looking for a great condo, along with an excellent owner to rent from, this is it!!!

We spent labor day week 2011 at this condo. My husband and I, and another couple have been staying in Marathon during the same week for over 10 years, always trying to find the perfect place to spend our vacation. This condo is the best we have stayed in and at such a great price for the week. The condo was spotless when we arrived, all the furniture is very comfortable, even down to the great pillows on the beds. We rent a boat to snorkel in the gulf for lobster every year, and the dock on the property was awesome. You can look thru every condo on this website, but i promise you, thru all our experiences renting in Marathon, you will not find a nicer place for your vacation destination. Jeff, the owner sent us so much helpful information to make our stay even better. We have spent many years in Marathon, and Jeff turned us on to some excellent places to eat, that we have never been to. We have rented so many years, and have never had an owner do so much to make sure our vacation was a great one. Thank You again Jeff!!!

We Just returned from staying at this condo in Marathon and we Loved it! Its very clean, comfortable with those recliners, especially after a hard day of play in the sun! The views can't be beat and the location is ideal! Everything about it was perfect for us, My husband went fishing just about everyday, and he was very close to the Marathon Lady Fishing boat, we were close to several popular beaches, and other sites like the Turtle Hospital etc. I loved the heated pool there, and it couldn't have been more of a relaxing and peaceful place to unwind and enjoy the perfect vacation. This is the Place to Stay in Marathon!

This Condo will not be a dissappointment, it has everything you could want and more! The views from the balcony are breathtaking of the bay and your surrounded by so many local beautiful beaches, its hard to pick which one to go to each day. They have a awesome heated pool on site which I also loved and enjoyed. And within walking distance is "The Marathon Lady" fishing boat which my husband regularly fished on and caught loads of fish, the condo is so centrally located to everything that its not much of a drive to anywhere. What I liked so much about it was that it was very clean, and comfortable, those recliners felt so good after a hard day of play in the sun! And the condo and surrounding area is a very quiet peaceful place well off the road on the bay, its a very tranquil and serene place in the middle of the keys, and I loved just sitting on the balcony in the evening watching the sun set off the water, feeling the warm breeze, forgetting about the cold back home! I appreciated that the owner, Jeff, kept in touch with us, and if we had any concerns,he gave attention to any problems that arose immediately. And he also gave us alot of tips and advise on local eateries and places to visit which helped out greatly. It is the perfect place to stay in Marathon!

Pelican's Perch was everything advertised and then some. The property was clean, well maintained and completely outfitted inside and out. Even to the extent of boogie boards, beach mats and fishing gear. The owner was completely engaged and helpful. When we discovered a minor maintenance issue he had (friendly and professional) local support on the scene in, almost literally, the blink of an eye. There are many, many things to do...too many to accomplish in 1 week. We enjoyed cooking most of our own meals, but did also take in the tastes of the Stuffed Pig for breakfast (great), Keys Fisheries, Sunset Grille and even Margaritaville in Key West. This was a wonderful week in paradise. The views from this spacious condo are spectacular. It was a very cozy place to relax and unwind. The furnishings were very nice...especially the reclining loveseat and 3 lcd tvs. We were able to dock our boat for easy access to fishing day and nightor just fish from the dock. We had a wonderful two weeks at Pelican's Perch. The condo was as shown in the pictures, well equipped, clean, comfortable and welcoming. The views, sun rises and sunsets were spectacular. Watched the turtles and sunset from the dock. The pool was clean and much needed for a cool down. Enjoyed two wonderful dinners at Sparky's Landing, Key Colony (15 minutes walk from condo). The breakfasts at The Stuffed Pig very good too. Jeff was very helpful with all our enquiries prior to our holiday. We would highly recommend this property.

Pelican's Perch is a beautiful property. It is clean, spacious, comfortable, and very well stocked. Even though we weren't there to watch TV, the TV's were state of the art, and it was nice to have the internet connection. We enjoyed the beautiful sunrises off the deck. One morning while sitting on the deck off the master bedroom, we saw a mother and baby manatee swim by. Jeff offered all kinds of wonderful advice as to restaurants and things to see and do. We enjoyed the nearby Dolphin Research Center, as well as both Sombrero and Bahia Honda State Park Beach. We were lucky enough to see a sea turtle being released back into the ocean too. I definitely recommend Pelican's Perch. We had a great experience.

We stayed at this lovely condo the first week of February 2010. It truly is just as the pictures and description show. A large, nicely equipped two bedroom, 2 1/2 bath unit with a very close view of the gulf. The unit is fully equipped with any amenities you could need. It's clean and obviously well cared for. It's centrally located, just down the street from many eateries and stores. We were very comfortable in our "home away from home". Jeff Welbaum is excellent to deal with, available to answer questions, and he truly cares that you enjoy your stay. We've already referred friends to this property for their upcoming Fall vacation.

Stayed Oct 10-17. Believe all the comments. This is a great property,with easy access but an away-from-it-all feel. Everything prior guests have seen, plus we saw a Bald Eagle.We have done the hotels (4) and a condo rental b/4, what a mistake. Pelican Perch is truly the best Key vacation ever, it gets no better. The condo has an extremely well stocked kitchen as well as a gas grill. We brought local seafood (Key Fisheries or Captains 3) most nights and ate in. Jeff supplied us with a extensive list of local restaurants and must sees. Check them out they are not to be missed.The dock box has all the extra’s described as well as a beach umbrella (that Florida sun gets hot).Only problem???? September 19-26, 2009 What a lovely place to relax! We could view the ocean from the balconies or the living room. The fully stocked kitchen allowed us to cook in when we chose. The condo was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The pool was wonderful and we usually had it to ourselves. There are several great beaches within minutes. We enjoyed visiting Crane Point and the dolphins at Hawk's Cay. Key West is only an hour away and provides all kinds of entertainment. See the sunset at Mallory Square. It was an easy drive from the Miami airport and the Everglades are also close by. We like that it was quiet, yet close to all the action you want. The owner provided plenty of information regarding attractions and restaurants in the area. Would recommend this condo to anyone!

It doesn't get any better than this. Relaxing on the patio or in the living room and looking out at the expanse of blue water. The condo was clean and had everything we could want. The fully stocked kitchen allowed us to cook in when we wanted. The owner provided lots of info on places to see and things to do and how to get there. There were also recommendations on the best places to eat. Key West is only one hour away and provided a full day's worth of entertainment. Great beach access is minutes away. Crane Point was a fun place to visit. Loved seeing all the different kinds of wildlife. Enjoyed the dolphins at Hawk's Cay. The well maintained pool was a great place to get sun. All in all, it was very enjoyable and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy beautiful weather in a relaxed atmosphere. Thanks!

We stayed at Pelican Perch from July 11-18th 2009. It was a great week. We brought our three kids (10, 8, 8) with us for their first time in the Keys. It was wonderful to have a spacious place to stay that was clean and had a great view. The condo is centrally located and lots to do is quite close. We snorkeled, tubed, visited the turtle hospital and explored. The condo is furnished nicely and had everything we needed. It was a nice surprise to find beach chairs and towels for us to use. Even spices are there ready to use. Thank you for a great place to stay.

We were alittle wary of vacation rentals after reading some horror stories on the internet, but this place and the owners are great. Fantastic views, beautiful condo with everything you need , and conveniently located. Kids will love the fish, iguanas, lizards, the docks, the pool, and the mantees.

We spent a week at the condo and loved every minute of it. There was a total of 5 of us and there was plenty of room. Upon our arrival, we found the condo in tip/top shape. There were plenty of linens, bath towels, and beach towels. It was very clean and you could tell it was very well taken care of. Although we could have, we did not cook much, but managed to hit a lot of the restaurants on the list of restaurants the owners provided to us. The onsite pool was wonderful, and the private dock allowed for fishing right off the dock. There were plenty of items available so we did not have to purchase fishing poles, beach chairs, snorkel equipment, or bikes to enjoy our stay. The location was excellent within a short driving distance to beaches, boating, shopping, and Key West. We would definitely rent again.

The condo was fantastic, there was everthing you could possibly need from beach gear to bbq's. The swimming pool is a stones throw from the condo and we had it to ourselves for most of the time. The location couldn't have been better for exploring the keys and at the end of a busy day, relaxing on the balcony watching the wild life with a cold beer was just perfect. The efficiency of dealing with the owner, made our stay very easy and uncomplicated. We felt very much at home as the area was so relaxed and laid back. We hope to return one day.

Pelican's perch is hands down the best rental my family has stayed in. It was very well equipped and in a perfect location to enjoy all that the Florida Keys have to offer. We had a great time at Pelican Perch (April 09) and would highly recommend it. It was truly turn key, very clean, & comfortable, with everything we needed to make our vacation enjoyable. The pool, which is just a few steps from the condo, was wonderfully inviting and we had it to ourselves most of the time. During our stay we observed a pod of manatees grazing in the shallow water just beneath our balcony. We had a wonderful time at Pelican’s Perch and would highly recommend it. It truly was a turn key vacation home, very clean, & comfortable, with everything we needed to make our vacation enjoyable. The pool, which is just a few steps from the condo, was wonderfully inviting and we had it to ourselves most of the time. During our stay we observed a pod of manatees grazing in the shallow water just beneath our balcony. The condo was just as described. No bad surprises. The owner is wonderful to work with and is intent on providing a wonderful vacation home for his guests. The boat box full of equipment for the beach, plus the supplies in the condo - coolers, beach towels, etc - made our stay so easy. Our teenagers loved the pool, the decks, the bikes -- everything. The information Jeff sent about things to do and see, and his recommendations for restaurants was welcome and right on the mark.

We had a great time in the keys, the pictures shown in the web site reflect exactly what we encountered there, Jeff the owner is also an excellent person. All the information provided is very useful and carefully chosen. My kids had a great time at the pool, we got to use the dock with a boat we rented and had fun all around the place. This was my 3rd stay at Pelican’s Perch since 2001, and was as fantastic as the previous two trips. The views from the property are amazing and are everything you could want. It is well placed and exceptionally well furnished and maintained. It's far enough off the main road to be quiet and relaxing, yet minutes from anything you need. I couldn't imagine a better experience. Evenings on the balconies overlooking the water are my favorite. There are second and third floor balconies that wrap the corners, so you can always find some private space to enjoy the view. The rooms are bright and open and comfortable. It really is just like the photos. We have snorkeled and kayaked directly from the bottom of the stairs. It is situated on Vaca Cut with a newly refurbished dock, and has direct access to the Atlantic and offshore reefs as well as the Gulf and backsides of the islands. The owner is the best and easy to work with. Everything is exactly as represented, and absolutely consistent from year to year. I give Jeff and Pelican’s Perch my highest recommendation!

Pelicans Perch is exactly how it looks online. The view is beautiful and the water sparkeling clear. The sunsets are stunning. The home is well cared for and has all the ammenties you need for a restful vacation. The location is just right for seeing all of the keys. It is one hour from Key Largo And John Pennekamp, 20 minutes to Bahia Honda and leass than one and a half hours from Key West. We had a very nice stay 6/14/08 to 6/21/08.

We had a fabulous time at Pelican's Perch in Marathon. Jeff is so friendly and easy to work with it made the whole experience really pleasant. The unit is exactly as it appears on the website, except the beauty of waking up in the morning and seeing the water sparkling in the sunlight is difficult to describe. Jeff and Peg have provided a lot of nice "extras" from bikes to local menus to suggested activities--all of which made our visit even more fun. If you love fishing, boating and water sports this is a great central location and hard to beat!

We had a wonderful time at "Pelican's Perch" in Marathon. The unit has a spectacular view of the water from the upstairs master bedroom and from the living room. Jeff is so friendly and easy to work with that it made the whole experience really pleasant. The condo is nicely furnished and Peg and Jeff have provided a lot of "extras"--from bikes to fishing gear. Marathon is a central location in the Keys, making it easy to travel anyplace up and down the Keys, from Key West all the way to the Everglades. Snorkeling, diving, boating, and fishing charters are all close as well. PS If you go, check out the pelican's perch by the boat dock. :-)

We also went to Burdines down in Boot Key Harbor for lunch, food was great and inexpensive.The fishing off the dock was good, we caught (and released) snapper, grouper, barracuda, saw a permit caught and my friend Rick even hooked up a tarpon, looked to be about 40 pounds. But the “silver king” took a couple of unexpected leaps from the water and through the hook! The best fishing was in the early evening, but we had bites all day.We were all very pleased with the place; we fully plan to be back next year, if you’ll have us that is!

We stayed in Pelican's Perch for two weeks in April. Spacious, well-appointed, great views over the bay. Master bedroom a wall of glass - you feel as if you're waking up over the water. Owner Jeff provides a wealth of info about the area (including great places to eat and entertainment). Would do it again in a heartbeat!

Pelican Perch was a beautiful condo to stay in. My husband & I and another couple stayed there quite comfortably. It is just as great as the pictures on the website look. We took several bike rides on a nearby bike trail. There are lots of good restaurants on Marathon Key - we enjoyed The Fish Company - right across the bay. The docks were really like brand new & this is a fisherman's paradise. Our friend caught some fish, and there were plenty of bait shops, boat rentals, etc. Key West only an hour away...We would highly recommend this condo - well worth the rental. Lots of peace, quiet and relaxation... or you can find live entertainment... whatever you want to do - it's here!!

We stayed 3/15 - 3/22/08 and this was a beautiful condo and a great place to vacation. Marathon Key was a lot of fun, and Key West was only one hour south. The pictures on the website are exactly as great as what it really is. Marathon Key is a fisherman's paradise, and even if you are not a fish person, which I'm not, it was beautiful water, weather, and restaurants... Riding the bikes was fun for my husband and I. We highly recommend this condo!!

March 12,08 We had a wonderful two weeks at the condo. The views were sensational and the pool was perfect. The weather was beautiful most of the time. We were very inpressed by how clean and well cared for the place was. the balconies were a great place for watching the pelicans and relaxing. The three of us had a great time using the condo. It was spotlessly kept, well stocked, and perfectly located. Being in the middle of the keys it was only an hour or so from any other spot in the Keys, from Key Largo to Key West. Only a block from the highway, but still very quiet, with great views of the sun rise from the balconies or the sunset from near the dock. Lots of good restaurants nearby, plus enough shopping for souvenirs or essentials within a few minutes. We would definitely consider returning for another vacation.

We really enjoyed our recent stay in the condo (Feb, 2008). Everything was clean and exceptionally well maintained. Great location for watching the sun rise or set, and watching the pelicans going about their daily routines. We appreciated the suggestions on restaurants, walking trails, and sight-seeing. The extra space was great for 3 adults, and would be fine for 4-6 people. Being centrally located in the Keys was also a plus for daily activities.

We enjoyed our stay at Pelican's Perch, in Marathon.The name was appropiate with the number of Pelicans nearby.This condo was what we wanted, warm weather(in the winter time) in a laid back setting in the keys, not the hustle of Key West, but close enough to visit for the day. While there is no beach near, there was a great little beach 5 miniutes away.(Sombero) Marathon has great restaurants, shopping, fishing,parks,sunsets, and friendly people. The condo was nicely decorated, with some nice extras such as fishing gear, bikes, beach gear, and DSL. The view of the bay from the condo was very good. We plan on going back in the future.
