If you are a local or welcomed visitor, I'll make your visit to The Old Town Inn easy and stress free. I can do your grocery shopping before you arrive, or even pick you up at the airport. The Old Town Inn is better than a Bed and Breakfast! If you want, I will cook for you. Then, unlike the typical Bed and Breakfast, I'll leave you alone. The whole house is yours, unless you call. You will experience the small town atmosphere Steamboat offers right from the start.
Your accommodations will be upscale and clean. A well lit, off road parking space, with 24 hour snow removal, is all yours. A private keyed entrance will lead you into your the mudroom. If it's ski season, you'll find a ski rack, boot dryer and coat rack so you don't have to carry your wet things into the house. There's also an adjustable heater in the mudroom to insure that your things will be warm and dry when you leave.
The house is large, but still very warm and inviting. The tall victorian windows are trimmed in wire brushed knotty pine and battenberg lace curtains. There's plenty of closet space, even a pantry! The kitchen is fully stocked and if there's something special you want, just call. Everyone will have clean, fresh pillows; plenty of towels and sheets; and lots of peaceful privacy with a great views of the surrounding mountains. You can relax on the deck while you BBQ or lounge in the front yard enjoying the extensive gardens. The Master Suite is privately located on the second floor along with the Master Bathroom Spa. The Basement is large but cozy and sleeps eight very comfortably. There is a full bath with heated tile floors and also a powder room available at the top of the stairs. The Deck is a great place to BBQ. The front yard patio is a great place to relax. The house is huge, comfortable and very, very functional.
You will have the best of both worlds. It's a short walk to the downtown restaurants, shops, entertainment and the free bus to area attractions including the ski mountain. The Yampa River Core Trail, Howelson Hill, and Summer Pro Rodeo Series are right down the block. There you can walk, ride your bike, and fish, even in winter, just a few blocks from your door. If you prefer, you can downhill ski, crosscountry ski, snowshoe, ice skate and tube at Howelson Hill. There's lots of hot springs to check out, the rec center is six blocks away, the movie theatre even closer. If you want to drive, there's lots of other activities like sleigh rides, snowmobile tours, fishing and hunting guides, etc.
Best of all, you'll have a local connection. I'll tell you where to find the best food and entertainment, when it's the right time to go to the hot springs, or if there's a good band downtown. But only if you call. Otherwise you'll be all alone.

We did not buy just a vacation rental in Steamboat. We bought a great house, in a great location, with lots of extras! We chose a home in Steamboat because of it's vast opportunity for outdoor recreation, the wonderful restaurants and the over all ambiance of mountain living .

We're also just a day trip away from Rocky Mountain National Park, lots of other state and federal forests, and BLM Public Lands, even Denver and the Front Range if you want some city.

We moved to Steamboat Springs from Evergreen, Colorado so that my son could ski and my daughter could ride horses. Now that they are grown, we're downscaling and you get the benefit of our empty nest!
