My husband and I have rented many homes through VRBO and "Solitude" is one of the best yet! Our family enjoyed our three night stay and hated leaving the beautiful home and the mountains. The double island worked out great for the ten of us that liked gathering in the kitchen. It was one of our favorite rooms in the house. Renting a home was a new experience for several in our party and thanks to Kenny and Colette it will be a vacation with special memories for all of us.

I along with a party of 7 stayed at the Diamond's home on Solitude lane for 5 nights. The house is absolutely beautiful and is surrounded 360 degrees by an incredible view of mountains and open land. Bridger Bowl is also a 2 minute drive away which is great for people looking to ski or snowboard. The Diamonds are also wonderful people who will do whatever they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.I highly recommend this home to everyone in need of a fun and relaxing vacation.
Owner response:Our Bridger Canyon home is very close to Bridger Bowl Ski area which is great after a day on the slopes. You can even go home for lunch, take a nap, and then go back for the afternoon skiing. Our views are there for our guests to enjoy. Come, be our guests and experience Solitude.

We had an early Christmas in Montana at this wonderful home. They were such unbelievable hosts and made sure everything was perfect for our family. Their home is absolutely beautiful and we have the best memories from our Montana Christmas. Their home is located in right near Bridger Ski Resort. So everyone had a blast just minutes away. In addition to them being such great hosts, they are extremely talented musicians. So we went to hear them entertain in downtown. Everyone had a wonderful time. Thank you so much for all you did for us! We feel like we have known you for ages. Happy New Year!! I would highly recommend their home to stay in for all ages.
Owner response:Come and be our guests and stay as long as you like. Yes, we love to share our musical talents with our guests. Do you sing or play an instrument? Come and be our musical guests as well. We know you will love our Solitude house and enjoy your stay. Everyone is welcome!

Phenomenal home in a beautiful location. Our stay in early November, 2011 was nothing less than spectacular. The home is in a near perfect location for access to ammenities,... hiking, fishing, snowboarding, Bozeman while also providing just enough space away from the crowds to sit back and relax. We'll definitely be returning!
Owner response:Our Bridger Canyon Mountain Retreat is close enough to downtown Bozeman, with an incredibly beautiful drive to get there, and still smack dab in the middle of the Bridger moutains. Come and enjoy all we have to offer our guests.

What a beautiful place! This truly was a home away from home. We rented this place to be close to the area where our son was getting married and after the hustle and bustle of rehersal and wedding stuff, it was so great to come home to a comfortable, quiet, peaceful place. This home is well maintained and such a wonderful place to be in. We cooked, laughed, listened to the elk bugle, watched the deer romp in the yard, and reconnected to each other. Kenny and Colette are wonderful to work with and make sure that you have everything you need for a fabulouse stay. Our age group ranged from 60's to 5 months and each of us had everything we needed. If you need a place to stay in the Bozeman area, do not pass up this place. You will not be disappointed.
Owner response:We do ask every guests for any special requests and if we can do grocery shopping so you have your favorite foods in the house for your first meal. Let us know what we can do for you.

We stayed 4 nights at the house and we loved every minute! It is beautiful, clean, decorated very nicely, and relaxing. The kitchen was our favorite part of the house with 2 large islands, and all the utensils needed for cooking great meals. Morning coffee and meals on the back deck were awesome! Kenny and Colette were great and offered to help with any needs we had. Also, please note that they are incredible performers so if they are playing in town you should definitely go. Kenny is an amazing guitarist. Look forward to going back next year.....hopefully for a longer stay!
Owner response:Do you like to cook? Our Solitude house has an incredible kitchen with tons of storage space and lots of Granite counter tops. There are windows surrounding the kitchen, which allow the huge green trees from outside to come in and join you for a meal.

What a beautiful property - from the gorgeous mountain views to the stunning decor (the sheets were even ironed)! All the amenities you could want and then some. Our family thoroughly enjoyed cooking breakfast in the gourmet kitchen and eating out on the back patio while watching deer roam through the yard - amazing!!!! Kenny and Colette were the best at making us feel right at home and anything we needed they were on hand to make sure we were comfortable. We would definitely recommend this vacation rental... (home is a far better word) and we hope to get up there again ourselves. After this trip, we fell in love with the area and we are on track to make Bozeman our home in the near future!
Owner response:Our guets from Nevada have become great frienda and are planning to move to Bozeman and call it home. Great things happen in great place to great people. Come see what great things are awaiting your arrival.

We thoroughly enjoyed this House. It met every need and was a beautful place to stay. The house had more than enough room for our group. During the day we spent alot of time on the back deck as well as in the gourmet kitchen and the very spacious living room. The paved streets that continue through out the development were perfect for our children and allowed them to keep up on our nature walks. We played golf at Bridger Creek Golf Course which was literally less than 20 minutes away. The house is the perfect mix of mountain resort yet still close enough to all the in town attractions.

We rented this house to celebrate college graduation with family of all ages and had a great. It has a great layout and tons of room to relax, cook, and enjoy spending time together. It met all of our needs and more and there were even farm fresh eggs were waiting for us when we arrived. The house had comfortable beds, spacious bedrooms, and a great family room with several couches and lots of open room for the little kids to play. There were even toys and games for the kids to enjoy! The kitchen was perfect for a big group and had tons of seating at an island, kitchen table and formal dining table. It was very rainy/snowy while we were there but the outdoor area looked like it would be wonderful as well! We had a great time cooking, watching movies, playing games and relaxing. We can't wait for the next family gathering so we can stay here again! My 4 year old still asks "when can we go back to the big house to stay?" We all loved it.
Owner response:We are so happy this family is coming back again to celebrate another special event. Our return guests are welcomed friends and receive a discount on their rental rates. Ya'll come back now, ya hear!!

The location was great for skiing at Bridger Bowl - 1 mile away. We went into Bozeman at least 3 times during our stay - 20 minutes. The listing was accurate, the property clean and well-maintained. We were in Bozeman 2 weeks prior to our stay at this home. I called Kenny and asked if we could look at the property. He was gracious to show it to us so we knew exactly what to expect when we arrived at Christmas . Kenny and Colette were very willing to answer any questions or concerns we had. I defintely would recommend this home to friends and relatives. We loved cooking in the wonderful kitchen and gathering in the family room. We played games, cards, read, ate, skiied, went for walks, and hung out with family. It was great! We hope to come back again.
Owner response:We try our very best to accommodate our guests to ensure everyone has an incredible stay on Solitude Lane in the Bridger Canyon mountains. My family spent the week before Christmas 2010 in this fabulous home. It is huge and the six of us had plenty of room to find our own space when needed. It is very luxurious! We were overwhelmed when we arrived and couldn't believe how fortunate we were. It is located in a nice, quiet area that is only a short drive to endless fun...skiing, shopping, even Yellowstone! The Diamonds were wonderful hosts and only a phone call away with any questions you might have concerning the house or their beautiful state. As we headed to the airport my prayer was that I would live to visit this wonderful home and its fantastic views again someday!
Owner response:The winter months in Montana are beautiful and our home is 1.5 miles from the Bridger Bowl Ski area. We are excited to share our mountain vacation home with you. The Diamond's home is perfect for a relaxing weekend with family. Elegant, spacious and very comfortable, this home provides all the comforts of a private vacation lodge: cozy beds with flannel sheets, a gourmet kitchen, expansive dining room, gas fireplace, sofas to sink into, breakfast on the deck, etc. Kenny and Colette are gracious, responsive hosts. We arrived to a welcoming fire and fresh eggs -- what a surprising touch! The drive into Bozeman is beautiful and really just a few short minutes away. Just a mile from Bridger Bowl, it would be a fabulous spot for a skiing vacation. I would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to others looking for a peaceful getaway.
Owner response:Relaxing and enjoying our Bridger Canyon home is a perfect way to celebrate life. Come be our guests for whatever your celebration is and have a memory for all to cherish. We welcome our guests with southern hospitality and the beauty of Montana.

What a beautiful home! We had early 20's to 80+ year olds in our group, and this home was perfect for all. Kenny and Colette were absolutely wonderful to work with. We spent a fair amount of time in Bozeman, as well as a day in Yellowstone. This home was great to come back to each evening. As a beginner fly fisher-woman, I highly recommend Gary at "Montana Troutfitters" on West Main in Bozeman. (We did a wading trip as well as a drift with Gary.) Also, don't miss the Farmer's Market on Saturday at the Fairgrounds in Bozeman! Montana is beautiful, and this home was the "icing on the cake"! Thanks Colette and Kenny! (They also feed the deer the day of your arrival, so you'll have some great viewing!)
Owner response:The floorplan of our Bridger Canyon home is perfect for all ages, privacy, and comfort. Two Master bedrooms, one up and one down, are a great way to have some space and yet still be in the same home. Two other bedrooms, on a different wing of the home, provide extra privacy. There is an extra large gathering room for games, talking, watching a movie in a snowstorm, or just to sink into the extra large couches and read a book. Our favorite thing to do is snuggle up with our loved ones, marvel at the incredible views, and take a nap. Life is good!

This house made our stay in Bozeman a real treat. We arrived to farm fresh eggs and hand picked lettuce! (Who does that anymore?) The house was spacious enough to comfortably accommodate three generations and allow for privacy when needed, and also provided plenty of gathering places for the whole family. The well- stocked kitchen along with the back deck was our favorite. The views are spectacular. Whether we were checking out the wildlife in the yard or sipping coffee on the back deck, we felt like we really experienced Montana in this Bridger Canyon mountain house. We are already talking about a repeat in the winter! The Diamonds were very professional and easy to work with, and Collette's hospitality is evidence of her southern roots.

Montana has so much to offer to people who enjoy the out of doors and the Bridger Canyon Mountain retreat was an ideal home base for our trip. It is located in one of the most magnificent valleys in the Bozeman area, convient to the airport and groceries, yet far enough out that you are truly "in the woods". We woke up to deer grazing in the back yard, enjoyed magpies chasing each other in the trees, and spent several evenings on the back porch enjoying the cool weather and the fantastic views of the stars. Our trip was aimed at canoeing the Madison, Yellowstone, Bighole, Jefferson, Ruby, and Beverhead Rivers, and the Bridger location allowed us to reach all within 1 1/2 hours east or west with 2 1/4 hours to the Bighole. The paddling and fishing was a blast, we lunched each day by the rivers taking in the views, explored river islands, and never faced problematic rapids on the rivers we floated. Moose, pronghorn antelope, and deer delighted us all and kept us scrambling for cameras. We caught cut throat, rainbow, whitefish and brown trout during our floats and searched the shoals for garnets and petrified wood. We stopped and enjoyed the "Water of the Gods" at Norris Hot Springs on our easterly trips (Madison, Bighole, Jefferson) which soothed any soreness from a day of paddling, aided by a cold libation. The trip was an adventure, and the home in Bridger was ideal to return to each evening. The large kitchen made it easy to fix dinner and prep lunches for the next day simultaneously without running over each other. The house was comfortable with modern appliances and beautifully decorated. Collett and Kenney were wonderful hosts and helpful in many ways. We look forward to returning and would recommend the Bridger Retreat to any kindred spirits.
Owner response:Montana is a beautiful state all year round and has so much to offer. Our home in the Bridger Canyon valley is a great place to come home to at the end of an exciting adventure. If you are hiking, biking, hunting, fishing, seeing Yellowstone National Park, or enjoying the winter sports, our home on Solitude is an awesome environment to recollect the day with friends and family. We invite you to be our guests...and enjoy some Solitude.

We have been coming to Bozeman and staying in homes around the Bozman area for many years. This was the first time we had stayed that far away from the downtown area. We enjoyed the Diamond Bridger home and all the amenities it had to offer. We brought our 3 adult children with friends and our Grandson too. Our grandson loved the toys that were available for him to play with and also enjoyed spending some time in the tree house out back. We love to spend a day in yellowstone and coming back to the peace and quiet was very nice. Home was wonderfully prepared for our arrival and the delicious fresh farm eggs and hand picked lettuce was a welcome treat! We would definately recommend this home for a family vacation....we had an awesome time and hope to be back in the winter sometime if our schedule allows. We have a few resturants around the area that we would highly reccomend.... The Mint in Belgrade, Stacy's , Ale Works, MaMa Mack's at the 4 corner's junction (best sandwhich's we have ever had), Blackbird downtown, and also the Bistro.
Owner response:Everyone is welcome to our Bridger Canyon retreat! Yes, we do supply our guests with our own home grown eggs and lettuce, when the season allows. Our family built the treehouse as a way to spend more quality time outside under the trees. Our home is split into wings and allows for lots of privacy and still has a very large gathering room and kitchen for when everyone gets together. Come to Bridger and be our guests. We would love to have you come again and again.

We were wanting to ride our motorcycles thru Yellowstone, Beartooth, Big Sky and the surrounding area and being from Illinois looked for a location that we could spend a week and take day trips retuning back to a base home. Kenny and Colettes home worked out wonderful for us (3 couples). We found the house to be everything as advertised and very comfortable. The ride both leaving the canyon and returning at night was always a pleasure looking at the snow capped mountains just outside our door. We usually just eat breakfast and left returning at night to relax and prepare for our next trip. Our longest was to Red Lodge, Beartooth pass, Yellowstone and retuning to Bozeman, 400 miles. It was a long day but awesome. The one night we stayed close to home and were starting to grill out on the back deck a brown bear walked around to corner of the garage and saw us. He was as surprised as we were and he just trotted off into the woods. We found the people of Bozeman very friendly and helpful and the Montana Ale House was great, we ate there 3 times. We had a great trip and would certainly recommend this property.
Owner response:Traveling through our area is so beautiful all year round. Coming home to Solitude is a perfect way to end a busy day. Our family lived in this home for years and was never able to see a large aniumal. We would see deer, elk, lots of birds, owls, and birds of prey, We heard about a lone bear that use to visit the Bridger Canyon area but had not been seen in years. What a wonderful way to spend your vacation. In the Montana mountains but still with all the amenities of a beautiful custom home situated on a private lot. Come visit us again soon.

Six of us plan a ski trip every year with four of my friend being from Salt Lake and they do have the greatest snow on earth, but our experance here was wonderful. The listing was as discribed and very comfortable, so much so that other than to get more wine, and to go to Bridger Bowel every day to ski we never letf the home. We have talked about where to go next year and this may be a repeat trip, and we have yet to do that. Ken and Colette were very accomodating ,in evrey thing I asked about.
Owner response:It is our family goal for all furure guests to have an incredible time in our Bridger mountain home. The property is beautiful all year long, through all four seasons. If there is anything special we can do for our guests, all you need to do is let us know. We will try to accommodate all guests needs. We look forward to having you as our guests and scheduling your vacation. Come enjoy all The Treasure State of Montana has to offer.
