It's sister property, the Hapuna Beach Prince has also undergone a freshening up over the summer. Our guests enjoy privileges at BOTH hotels and can experience all of the first class amenities both have to offer. Each hotel also has beachfront access to what are hands down the best resort beaches on the Big Island (Kauna'oa Bay and Hapuna Beach). These beaches boast calm, clear blue waters with silky Caribbean-like sand. The Four Seasons Hualalai doesn't even come close to matching the natural beauty that abounds here.

Wai'ula'ula is a gated community, and one of the newest developments at the Mauna Kea Resort. As you can see from the photo gallery, the home was professionally decorated in an elegant and tasteful way, with high quality furnishings and appointments. Our 3bedroom/3bathroom condo provides more than ample space for one or more couples and is perfect for a family. There are two master bedrooms with king-size beds and full ensuite bathrooms for privacy. The third bedroom has two twin beds.

Luxury kitchen with granite countertops, SubZero fridge, Wolf appliances, and Fisher & Paykel dishwasher. The lanai is perfect for outdoor entertaining with over 250 sq. ft of covered space, beautiful view, and an outdoor built-in wet bar with Wolf gas range. Washer and dryer are located in the unit. Other details include Mahogany doors and trim, vaulted and coffered ceilings (featured only in the upper units), and natural stone flooring in some areas. The unit is also wired for high speed internet access and cable TV.

Guests have full access to the services and amenities at both the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and Hapuna Prince Hotel just like if you were a hotel guest. These include: residential concierge, pools, beach service, dining, golf, tennis, spa and exercise facilities.   • We just returned from our week stay in this beautiful condo. The condo was spacious, immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. The pool and spa were very nice as well. A short 3 min. drive gets you to one of the best beaches on the island. FABULOUS!

  • We returned last week from a wonderful family vacation on the Big Island. It was enhanced by our accommodations at Wai ‘ula ‘ula. We rented two condos for our extended family and both were excellent. This unit was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. As former frequent guests at the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, we were concerned that going to the beach would be a hassle—not so! It is a short 3 minute drive. The owner was very gracious and helpful with suggestions that helped make this vacation extra special. Since we had access to both Hapuna Beach Prince and the Mauna Kea Beach hotels we took the opportunity to check out the hotel rooms at each place. The verdict was unanimous—the condo was the best choice by far and represents an excellent value. We will definitely return and not even consider staying at either hotel, opting for the condos instead.

  • My family stayed at in this unit in late July 2009. To sum up the quality and beauty of this unit in one word: gorgeous. The pictures provided by the owner do not do it justice. Everything in the unit and the community itself (Wai'ula'ula) is top notch. The unit itself has amazing ocean views, with our family never failing to catch the evening sunset, quality appointments, a washer/dryer (which is extremely helpful for those long stays), and is extremely convenient to the Mauna Kea and Hapuna Beach resorts. The condo development is also top notch. The amenity center (which is 500 feet from the unit) has a stunning infinity pool, kids pool and hot tub. The workout room is also surprisingly well outfitted with multiple weight machines, free weights, and numerous pieces of cardio equipment.

  • 5 stars! 5 diamonds! My family spent a week here and had one of our best vacations ever! The condo is gorgeously decorately, spotlessly clean and even has a view of the ocean. We've rented many vacation homes over the years and found this one to be exceptionally well equipped (big screen TV, blu-ray dvd player, wifi, kitchen necessities, ipod compatible stereo, even beach towels!) The owners left a very nice welcome package of snacks that was much appreciated after the flight. The Wai'ula'ula amenity center is a 1 min. walk from the condo. The pool there is stunning & the fitness center had ample cardio & weight equipment. We loved the beaches at Mauna Kea & Hapuna Prince-- not crowded, well staffed, clear water & great snorkeling. We'd stay here again in a heartbeat--absolutely loved it!

  • Our family spent a week at this condo at the end of february. The condo was beautifully furnished and very roomy. The view was gorgeous and staying here was as convenient as living at home. The amenities were fantastic, especially the pool and the work out center. We would highly recommend this rental to anyone visiting the Big Island.

  • Our family of four just spent a glorious week at this condo. Everything about this unit is as advertised if not better. Incredible views and great access to the amenity center are particularly noteworthy. The kitchen was well stocked, furniture was extremely comfortable and clean. All in all, I would cherish the opportunity to stay here again.
