We avoided yet another hurricane here, but feel that we were able to make the right decision in continuing with our stay due to the ongoing communication and interaction Jay and Betty had with us. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended an extra day! This has truly become a home away from home for us and we find everything about it relaxing. Things to note - the beds were perfect! In last year's feedback I know I mentioned something about the firmness of the mattresses, and the mattress memory foam toppers that were added made it hard to get out of bed b/c it was VERY comfortable! :-) Just a proven fact that these owners take even small feedback very seriously to better future visits to this location. Also, love that the community had added a bar/snack area in the pavilion...this enabled us to not lug so many things with us to the beach or if we needed an extra something to snack on or drink it was right there (or a sandwich if you were hungry) :-) The gentlemen of the home appreciated the upgraded TV in the living room...seeing that some football had kicked off, they were glued to that thing :-) Overall we enjoyed our stay yet again and would recommend this place to anyone. The home has everything we need, and the community also makes it not feel very touristy and I appreciate the low key family atmosphere :-)

Great Vaca House!

Owner, Jay, communicated so well with me and that made the experience very pleasant. We knew we were in good hands. The house, community and property is lovely - I would not change a thing! My kids loved the beach, the pools and even the basketball & tennis courts. Palmetto Palms has wonderful amenities...very top notch! I wouldn't change a thing!!! :) Great vacation and the perfect house to relax and enjoy ourselves. It was so nice having the "space", the porches, the TV's, even the ample supply of towels. The full size washer/dryer was a plus for me and having the extra refrigerator was also a big bonus. Thank you for everything! :)

Great Property

We stayed for a week. Two families with 4 teenagers plus one Aunt. The floor plan was perfect. Two masters for the parents. The teenagers all stayed together in the room with the two bunk beds and the Aunt had her own queen room. The unit was ready early and the owner called to let us know. Everything was as advertised on the website. The proximity to the beach was great and the owner had a hand wagon available to help get our stuff to the beach. We used the grill to cook out a couple of times. The large TV in the living area was great for movies. Would recommend it to friends.

Jay and Betty, thank you for once again sharing one of your beautiful homes with our family! I believe we started renting from you about 8 or 9 years ago. This was our first time in Palmetto Palms and we fell in love with it. Also, once again, please forgive me for waking you up so early for the phone number. We had a wonderful birthday phone call for Bobby with our son in Afghanistan! Those phone calls are few and far between and it was such a highlight of our vacation. Your home is fully stocked and we wanted for nothing. The excellent condition of the furniture and appliances makes you feel like you are really on a first class vacation! It was the perfect set up for us and we will be renting it again! You make the rental process so easy and being able to do everything via the internet is an added plus for me because of my busy schedule! Hope to be in Destin again next year and in Palmetto Palms or another one of your beautiful homes! Thanks again for making our vacation with our British cousins so very special! Miss It Already!

This was the first of many vacation stays at this home! The community and property was wonderful and the extended family fit comfortably in the home. It had even more than what we thought, especially the accommodations for my daughter of 1 1/2...the outdoor space and beach toys made it a blast for her. Jay was also very enjoyable to work with and answered any questions/cocerns we had, especially with the tropical depression we experienced last week...definitely didn't ruin our time there! If I could wave a wand for one thing only though about the community, is I wish in one of the pool areas there was a small kids splash/play area...just something to think about as there were several families staying in the community at that time with small children....didn't hinder our experience though ;-) Hope to be back again next year!

Our stay at Palmetto Palms was great!!! There was plenty of room for us to enjoy inside and outside and the neighborhood was very private yet in a great location to everywhere! The house was very clean, decorated beautifully, and very well stocked. The owners are very helpful and so nice! We would recommend this rental home to anyone who is wanting to enjoy a beach vacation. We know that we will definitely be back. The house was absolutely perfect for our family reunion. We were able to visit our son & family before he was transferred from Eglin AFB. Also found out while there that they're expecting twins in March 2012. Great news, great fun, great scenery!! Couldn't get any better than that.

Jay and Betty, Just wanted to let you know that your home was just beautiful. We had such a good time in Destin and will probably make it our vacation destination next year. My sisters and families were also very happy with how everything turned out. You had mentioned several months ago about renting a pontoon boat and going to Crab Island...such a great idea! We all had a blast. Thanks so much for being so easy to work with and accommodating. We really appreciate it. We will definitely consider renting from you in the future.

Jay & Betty, We were very pleased with your home. One thing that impressed me was, that all of your descriptions of the home and location, were accurate. It was everything that it advertised to be and more. It accommodated our large family very nicely. The two master suites were great for our married children with small children. We plan on coming back again.

Very well furnished home. Good for multiple families especially if they want more than one master suite. View of the ocean from the upper balcony. Quiet area, totally relax, or do as much as you want.

This home is awesome for multiple families especially if you want more than one master suite. The kitchen is furnished with everything you could possible need even for baking Christmas cookies. There is a heated pool in the complex so even if it's a little chilly you can enjoy the water.

Palmetto Palms has a wonderful location and the floor plan was very well thought out. We had 3 couples, one with two children. You could all be together but have private time if you wanted it too. We had meals as a group out on the beautiful porch several times and wine on our personal balcony, it was perfect. The owners were great about answering our question ahead of time and provided a pack and play for our infant. It was so nice not to have to haul that from Iowa The house is exactly as described and as the photos showed .

Great Property! Great location! This was our first time to Destin and this house worked great for 2 families with 5 girls ages 8 to 13. The 2 master suites made this a perfect choice for our families. We plan to stay here again when we return next year!

This is a wonderful house. It worked perfctly for my family. The outdoor shower was particularly nice for showering off the kids after the beach. We will definitley stay here again.

I found this property after a last minute decision to take a spring break vacation ... I'm so glad we did! We named it our "Sweet Suite". Perfect set up for our group, short walk to the beach ,restaurants and shopping. Comfy beds and the owner is very accommodating. He provided a wagon, crib and stroller for the 2 and a half year old twins.Everyone loved it and we will stay here again.

This was a wonderful vacation for our family and the other family that went with us to Destin. The home was spectacular and perfectly designed for 2 families of 4. This home was in a great location in Emerald Shores, and very close to the beach. We will definitely stay again. The owner met all of our expectations, he was so gracious to both families. I highly recommend this home, it is just beautiful!!
