Beachfront Villas right on one of the most magnificent beaches in Costa Rica. The jungle is in back, the surf in front. 5 min from the craziness of Jaco, and 10 min from deepsea fishing.

Playa Hermosa, (Beautiful Beach) in front of the "Almendro Tree" is the point where you want to go to surf all day and relax at night. Jaco with it's 150 bars and restaurants, casinos and night clubs is where the action is if you want to have some fun. Come back home and sleep under the most incredible quiet stars in Playa Hermosa!

These brand new, Non-Smoking, two bedroom bungalows will remind you of the Keys but are located on the beach in the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica's best surfing beach.

Hermosa Beach, "beautiful beach," is practically untouched, undeveloped and cherished by all Costa Ricans. It is probably one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica, and certainly the closest to San Jose - only 70 miles away.

Our two bedroom, two bath home which is newly finished, lies just on the beach (ten feet away), with the jungle to the back of it and three other houses nearby. All the rest is beach, jungle, birds, cows, monkeys, surfing and sunsets. There is only one other small home development way at the other end of this huge, huge beach. (Strait out of "Endless Summer"!)

Hermosa Beach is a world-class surfing beach which hosts international competitions. People come from all over the world every day to surf here - and are they fun to watch! At the Northern end of the beach there are several "Beach Boy" style bars and a lovely hotel, where you can relax with a beer, watch the surfers strut their stuff, and enjoy the sunset.

A wonderful canopy tour is run from this area - canopy tours hook you to cables via a leather girdle you wear, and then you swoop hundreds of feet through the air in the jungle. Worth doing. At the southern end of the beach is a new turtle preserve. They appreciate sincere help in their late-night and early-morning walks to find turtle eggs in the sanctuary. He last time we did it, walking with flashnights at 11:00 p.m., we had to help a mother turtle missing a foot back into the sea.

The next beach to the north - 1 1/2 miles away, is JACO, a bustling town with a milder surfing beach for beginner surfers, lovely restaurants, shopping, casinos, night clubs, and pretty much all the infastructure you could want.

The Marriott is just north of JACO. Everyone speaks English, and the dining is as fancy as you could find anywhere in the US -dress up! The Marriott is situated on a huge bay with many fishing boats for charter. The deep sea fishing here is also some of the best in the world. The Marriott also has built a new, gorgeous golf course.
