Spent a relaxing anniversary weekend at the cozy Cottage at Muir Beach. We soaked in the beauty of the views, enjoyed dining in, relaxing on the deck. The Cottage at Muir Beach is better than advertised - the description and pictures don't do it justice. Victoria is a hospitable and gracious host - we will return as often as we can.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

About the owner: I am a British interior designer and home stager, living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area. As the daughter of a British army officer, I have visited and lived in many parts of the world: Europe, Asia, Australia, and the United States of America. I first visited and fell in love with the San Francisco Bay Area in 1997. I became a permanent resident in 2003. All my life I have been drawn to and fascinated by the ocean and to the life within and around it. In 2008 I realized a lifelong dream and bought two cottages overlooking the Pacific Ocean on the northern California coast in the idyllic community of Muir Beach. While owning one cottage by the beach has been a lifelong dream, I never imagined myself owning two. As an interior designer, the obvious and exciting thing to do was to renovate one of them and offer it for rental to those of you around the world who share my passion for clean and simple interiors and the extraordinary privilege it is to be close to nature and the sea. The Magical Cottage At Muir Beach is simply that. Month after month it gives me tremendous pleasure to offer my guests a really exceptional place to stay where they can relax and unwind to the sound of the ocean in the newly renovated cottage. Within the backdrop and magnificence of Marin County’s Golden Gate National Recreational Area, heaven and earth are literally at your fingertips.
