Thank you for the wonderful week at The Cottage. We originally planned to stay for 4 days but extended our stay because it was so lovely and peaceful. The Cottage, the sea, (the weather couldn't have been better), the setting - it really was amazing. Thanks again.

Wow! Victoria - we all agree that we have never been anywhere as beautiful as this. From the fuul moon, to the sunshine, to the crash of the waves, to the steep inclines, and the fine wine ... it's been glorious. Where we're from, you can't get experiences even close to this, unless you are in a tent. What luxury The Cottage At Muir Beach is. Looking forward to many more long weeks here. Thank you! P.S. Thank you for creating this beautiful space. It IS truly the heaven on earth that you describe on the web - it was the perfect place to reconnect with a very special person, someone I went to highschool with that I hadn't seen in 25 years! The view is stunning on the drive in to your place. We knew at that moment someone was looking out for us. Everything from the magnificence of the view of the Pacific from the deck to the luxury and beauty of the interior was WONDERFUL!! So much love and gratitude.

Trip down memory lane (tick) Rest and Relaxation (tick) Walk along the beach (tick) If we'd relaxed any more or eaten any more good food I don't think that we'd leave and that would put a kink in your business model! Thanks for turning the dial up on the good weather meter, we really appreciated it. And most of all, thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage. Merrick and I had a perfectly 'luverly' time playing house in this little jewelbox cottage. Thank you Victoria for sharing this slice of heaven with us (there is no lullaby like the sound of the ocean.) We were amazed how well / deeply we slept ... Breathtaking view, spotlessly clean, a destination for nature lovers, beautifully and well equipped cottage. Loved the sound of the waves at night. Kids loved the beach and the horses (the neighbors!). Plan to return if back in San Francisco.

Photographs are fully representative of the location and property. Fulfilled all expectations and therefore highly recommended. A perfect 'getaway' but still within striking distance of the city. Comfortable and well appointed. The property owner is friendly, responsive and helpful. There is no dishwasher or TV connection which may be an issue for some if staying longer than a few days or those with children.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway.

Our purpose in coming here was to be close enough to visit with family in the area. How perfect it was to discover a location of such tranquility and beauty - one so close to an ultimate playground. From sailing to hiking to biking to returning to your cottage to listen to the ocean waves as we fell asleep - we have had one exceptional vacation. I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our stay at The Cottage. It was truly everything we hoped for and more. We felt transformed! I hope that we will be able to get back in 2010. In the meantime I was still trying to hear the sound of the ocean in my head when I climbed into bed last night. It started as just a cottage on the beach but by the end of the first day, we realized that this place is....Magical! We had a great time at the beaches - soaking up sun and swimming in refreshing water. Dinner on the patio was the perfect end to a perfect day. Thank you for this little cottage, Victoria. Your Cottage is perfect! We had a wonderful time here. It was so soothing to fall asleep to the sound of the ocean and to watch the waves crash on to the beach. The Overlook and Muir Woods are fantastic and we loved watching the tide pools. We will always remember watching the meteor shower with you. We felt like locals away from the hub-bub of the city. Thank you for such awesome memories. We wish we lived closer so we could come back more often!

What a wonderful week at your beautiful Cottage! It is a truly relaxing and peaceful place. The weather was perfect and the full moon rising nightly over the hills was fantastic. From the beach, to the hiking, to exploring at low tide for sea life - our 12 year old had a ball. Thank you and we hope to return one day.

The Cottage on Muir Beach stands upon an exciting elevation with the the Pacific at it's feet. The humungous water's mass is spread outside the bedroom window, as is the lace of cloud upon the changing hues of the horizon as it travels the day. From dawn until the night when the rhythm of the ocean gets more distinct as the dark mutes all else. It truly places you amidst the elements! My family and I spent a very memorable fortnight at the Cottage in June with long meals upon the deck and coffee in the dark with waves strumming for us. The children often walked down to play on the beach often twice a day whilst I prefer to read or write by the window. The town of Mill Valley about 15 minutes by car is charming for a bit of shopping and a cafe-bookstore which has the most divine coffee and cake! The inspiration of the Cottage, Victoria ties in all it takes to optimise the spot. I strongly recommend the Cottage for a getaway. I wish distance ( we live in India) permitted the same oftener for us! Brinda

We loved the decor and patio view of the coast. We also loved Muir Woods. What a fabulous example of beautiful nature. Terri celebrated her 50th with her family and some good Napa wine.

Our stay was just wonderful. I loved waking up in the mornings to the crashing waves. The deck was a great place to enjoy the view (although it was sometimes a little chilly!) The Cottage itself was so comfortable, pleasant, relaxing and everything we imagined it would be. We were so thankful for the peaceful surroundings. Thank you for providing a place to escape!

Staying at this precious cottage was a great joy. Victoria was most gracious and the place was even lovelier than the photos. Her exquisite taste made for no detail being spared. She thought of everything and - it was SO CLEAN! I'm looking forward to returning - it's difficult to leave this marvelous place!

The Magical Cottage is truly enchanting! Besides the fact that the cottage is impeccably furnished, decorated and equipped, the view from the Magical Cottage is unbelievably spectacular! Pictures just don't do it justice. My husband and I were sad to leave and hope we can return again. What a perfect place to have a respite! Victoria is the hostess with the mostess.

Absolutely magical! A fantastic place to celebrate a special event or just to relax for an amazing and peaceful getaway. Everything was perfect, the most beautiful scenery, adorable cottage with every detail taken into perfect consideration, the sweet horses, and the giant starfish on the beach, the cottage at Muir beach is truly amazing! Didn't want to leave, cant wait to go back!

I love the cottage and I thought that the horses were a little ways down the hill but you can actuly see them from the deack! I really hope i go back soon.

Your outstanding website brought the Cottage to life, and I chose it as the perfect spot to spend Easter with my children for all of the above reasons. It is a jewel in an idyllic environment that anyone would love. At the same time, it is uncanny how strongly I am linked to it. The mystical nature of this place is obviously getting to me.
