We stayed at this condo the week of August 7th-14th.We liked the location and the awesome view!The condo was very spacious We were disappointed with several things.The sheets were folded and ready to put on the beds when we checked in.The double bed had a queen fitted sheet and a twin flat sheet, but it worked out okay.For the king bed in the front room we had a king fitted sheet and a twin flat sheet, I looked around in the closets and finally located a green king flat sheet, which had to be washed first. I was thrilled to find a place that provided linens, but there weren't enough towels.I had to buy washcloths and we had to wash towels once or twice a day.The washing machine and dryer definitely need to be updated, not only are they the small stacking kind, but you can't wash and dry at the same time! This was very frustrating.I thought the mattresses looked cheap, but they actually turned out to be pretty comfortable. The first morning my husband and I woke up with congestion and very swollen eyes, we soon discovered that the comforter must be down. I found a blanket in the closet and washed it and that solved that problem. Bring your own pillows! These pillows had all seen much better days! The front bedroom has these awful transparent blinds that kept falling off, absolutely no privacy if someone is on the balcony! These same horrible blinds were in the living room also, but two of them were completely broken and lying in the floor.The sliding glass doors to the front bedroom don't open.The door to the balcony doesn't lock, which made us a little nervous with young children.Overall the place was pretty clean, the microwave was dirty with spaghetti splatters etc The closets are packed with junk, old lamps, shoes, blown-up floats, old barstools, broken boogie boards, etc. The front bedroom walk-in closet had so much stuff in it that it was hard to find room for our things. Lots of dust in closets and on blinds and side tables. The tvs are antiquated! My children carefully packed dvds to watch on the trip, but we could not make the dvd player work. The owner had given us the number of the local housekeeper/caretaker. I called her about the dvd player and she said "That's really great." She told me she would contact the owner and see what she could do, but we never heard back from her. Couch and rug were very stained.Forest Dunes itself was ok, pools were adaquate.You have to walk across a road to get to the beach.Would not stay in this unit again.

Owner response:We are sorry to have heard this guest's concerns. We immediately had a third party inspect our condo. A few items were confirmed & repaired. Repeat guest (4th year in a row) had an enjoyable stay the month of September.

We stayed in this condo in April. It is in a great location with great views. Everything was as listed in the description. A very spacious condo. We enjoyed our stay very much. One note to make: it took a total of 4 weeks to get our deposit back. Originally we were told we'd have it within 14 business days. After 2 emails and 2 weeks we did get a response from the owner. She was travelling out of town and had forgotten. After another reminder a week later we did get our deposit back after another week.
