Spectacular mountain views over the backdrop of a serene mountain lake -- every season brings a palate of vibrant colors and an abundance of wildlife. Our retreat at Anglers Point is situated on 4 private, gated acres, high in the Smokey Mountains. Overlooking a pristine 35-acre lake, fed by mountain springs and streams, The Lodge at Anglers point is your mountain get-a-way.
Awaken to spectacular views and the sounds of nature--not jet-skis. Our beautiful lake accommodates paddles and electric motors only.
Song birds, humming birds, hawks, butterflies, Canadian geese, duck, deer, wild turkey, raccoons, and the occasional beaver or black bear always provide seasonal interest.
Enjoy an exhilarating morning swim from the dock. Play golf on a fabulous mountain course. Enjoy a hike to one of our nearby waterfalls. Fish for big-mouth bass, bream and trout. Nearby Cashiers and Highlands provide unique shopping and dining. Shopping and he savoring of a wonderful meal at one of our fine local restaurants breaks the monotony of simply living the “good life”. Take a cocktail hour canoe trip on the lake. Read a wonderful book. Chill in front of an open fire. Serenade yourself to sleep with the sound of katydids and bull frogs. LIFE IS GOOD AT THE TOP!
A recent guest comments: “To say that pictures do not do it justice is an understatement. First, the house is on a nice piece of land with a great front yard and back. How rare to find a lakefront property with room to park and a comfortable walk to the dock. The lake is just what I was looking for. A noise free reflection even on a windy day, a nice change of pace from the larger water sport lakes.”
The Lodge at Anglers Point has been lovingly restored with native woods, poplar bark siding and stone. Decorated with antiques and reproductions, native and exotic game mounts, Anglers Point preserves the ambiance of times past with the conveniences and comforts of today. The Lodge features a large beamed great room and dining room with a large stone fireplace, a game room, also with a stone fireplace, and three bedrooms. The large, master bedroom is an escape from family and guests. With its sitting area and pillow top king size four-poster bed, granite and tile bath, the master is its own sanctuary. Adjacent to the great room is the study for those quiet moments, reading, or catching up on business. The large country kitchen is modern and well equipped. Down the stairs from the great room are the guest rooms, the game room, and washer/dryer and private patio. The large wrap-around deck accommodates outdoor dining, fire-pit, and a quiet area—all with spectacular lake and mountain views. The decks are gated to keep track of our four-legged friends.
The Lodge at Anglers point offers secluded privacy with accessibility. LIFE IS GOOD AT THE LODGE!

Lakefront Lodge Gated with Canoe, Lake and Mountain Views
Year Purchased: 2006
Why the Owner Chose Cashiers
Location, location, location. We have owned mountain homes in Blowing Rock, on Lake Glenville, and in Sapphire Valley. This our third Sapphire Valley Home. We feel that this is the best location in the NC mountains. We enjoy the quiet seclusion of our mountain home, our lake, and the proximity to the quaint cross-road village of Cashiers. We are only 10 minutes over good roads to Cashiers,5 minutes to golf. Other lake properties can be up to 30-40 minutes and 20+ miles out. The roads--well you meet yourself going around the curves.
Owner's Map of Cashiers
After spending several years in the hospitality industry and many in the real estate industry, this is our 6th mountain home. It is our third Sapphire Valley home and our favorite of the six. We appreciate being able to share our home and mountain experience with you.
