Monkey No Climb is a West Indian Style home completed in 2008, perched 1,070 feet high on Bordeaux Mountain above the community of Coral Bay. Marvel at the breathtaking views of Jost Van Dyke, Sandy Cay, Tortola, Coral Bay, Hurricane Hole and the entire Sir Francis Drake Channel to Virgin Gorda. Explore the slow paced nature island of St. John and all that the U.S. Virgin Islands National Park has to offer.
Monkey No Climb is perfect for nature lovers, artists, writers, birders, hikers, newlyweds, newly in love or people in search of seclusion. The focal point of Monkey No Climb is the totally private, large covered porch. From this vantage point you can relax in our four person spa and scan one of the most pristine views in the Caribbean. This breezy location can actually become chilly in the evenings as you star gaze towards the east.
The villa features two equal size bedrooms and two equal size private bathrooms. Both bedrooms have A/C units and king size beds. Monkey No Climb exhibits bright colors, a beautifully stained cypress hip roof, wicker and traditional furniture, Caribbean wall hangings and whimsical furnishings. Additional amenities include a laptop size safe, beach chairs, coolers, beach towels, ceiling fans, stationary "Life Cycle" exercise cycle, fruit trees, tropical plantings and Monkey No Climb tree. The villa enjoys end of the road quiet, many large trees, vacant surrounding lots and complete privacy from neighboring homes.
Our representative will meet you at the Cruz Bay ferry or Coral Bay area, help you secure your rental car and lead you to the villa for a personal orientation of the house. The drive is totally paved with an easily accessible paved driveway. Please watch out for chickens, goats, donkeys and cows in the roadway on your drive.
The villa is centrally located to all beaches on the north and south shores, twenty US National Park hiking trails and is just five minutes from shopping and restaurants in parking friendly Coral Bay. The Monkey is now also easily accessible from Centerline Road (Route 10). Escape your everyday world and experience the Caribbean from the mountain side retreat Monkey No Climb.

Why the Owner Chose Bordeaux Mountain
My wife and I chose to build on St. John and this particular lot because of the spectacular views it affords along with the buffer zones between properties. The location offers end of the road privacy and quiet with many large trees and vacant surrounding lots.
New easy access from Centerline Road and also up the mountain from Coral Bay.

We had a fantastic time at MNC for our recent honeymoon in the US and British Virgin Islands. The house was in perfect shape and the views were breathtaking -- we saw rainbows from above! It's conveniently located near Coral Bay restaurants and a short drive from several beaches, but far enough from the bustle of Cruz Bay to be peaceful. We highly recommend MNC for future travelers.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Convenient location and paved roads. It was a perfect layout for 2 couples-bedrooms are on opposite ends of the great room.It had everything we needed in the kitchen and amazing views. Also the most comfortable beds we ever had in a rental!
Owner response:My wife and I had rented many houses on St. John before we built "The Monkey". We knew some of the furnishings in those houses were of lower quality or tired. I knew we would probably be using the same furniture and furnishings when we semi-retire and spend more time on St. John. We spent a lot of time and money chosing the right furniture and mattresses for a first class experience. I love our quiet location, view and newly paved roads. Our on island representative, my wife and I would love the opportunity to take care of your party.
