Set in an acre of woodland in the magnificent Luberon Park Naturel Regional, this lovingly restored stone Provencal farmhouse affords guests breathtaking views and an opportunity to unwind in style.
Named after the mesmerizing evening chorus that resounds from the nearby river, Le Petit Criquet is a secret hideaway you won't want to leave.
The property is very private and secluded with no-one able to oversee the location. Many of the surrounding fields are used for harvesting lavender, which reaches it's deep purple colour in July. There's a 60m2 terrace that offers plenty of space to socialize or simply lie back on the sun loungers and take in the sights and sounds. Positioned at the front of the house and overlooking the mountains, is a newly constructed bassin style salt filtered pool with built in steps allowing for easy access.
Inside, the property has two living rooms, the larger boasting a central fireplace and traditional Provencal ceilings. Satellite TV, DVD and CD players along with a DVD, CD and extensive book library are provided. There is a large solid oak dining table for entertaining. Upstairs, all three bedrooms are completely different in character, each having unique features.
Two bedrooms both have super king size beds and the other two singles. The heart of the house is the kitchen with original Provencal tiled flooring and locally produced wall tiles. There are 3 bathrooms, including one with a tiled "walk in" shower. There's also a utility room with separate washing machine and dryer. Additionally the property has a garage with internal access to/from the house.
There are many beautiful local village including Viens, Cereste, St Martin de Castillion and Oppedette to name a few, which have colourful markets and excellent restaurants. Also within an easy drive are all the ancient Luberon village including the famous Roussillon, Gordes, Lourmarin and Lacoste, the vineyards of Sud Luberon and Cote Du Rhone and the spectacular gorges du Verdon. Easy daytrips can be made to the towns of Avignon, Aix En Provence and Marseilles or the beaches of the Cote D'Azur.
Top quality bed linen, towels etc, cleaning before and during stay, and electricity and gas are all included in the rental cost.
