Fana is located in an apartment building that was constructed in 2005. It is in a quiet residential area of Ciovo, with a selection of restaurants just a short walk away.
The apartment is 48sqM with windows looking South towards the Adriatic and a South West facing balcony, overlooking the sea. The rocky beach is a two-minute walk and a ladder has been installed for easy access into the clear waters.
During the Summer, a water taxi will take you to the nearby town of Trogir, which has been a UNESCO protected World Heritage Site since 1997. This is an experience in itself, offering beautiful views of the island from the water.
The city of Split is a 35 minute drive away. Here you'll find shops and restaurants, but more impressively, the Palace of Dioceleitan, which was built in the early part of 4th Century AD and also a UNESCO site. A trip up the bell tower should take just a few minutes, but will offer the best views of the city. Shopping or taking a tour in the basement is also recommended - especially on the hotter days!
There is also a long sandy beach just South of the harbour in Split, with many places to dine and wooded areas to sit or stroll. The islands of Hvar and Brac are just an hour away on the ferry from Split. These places offer great snorkeling and swimming locations in secluded bays with great dining experiences nearby.
The town on Hvar is also very good for souvenir shopping, as this is where the famous lavender comes from. Further South is the town of Solin, a small town set in a dramatic crevice of the mountains, which can be visited for activities such as rock-climbing, kayaking and hiking.
