Extremely spacious, spotless, gorgeous, quiet--just wish we could have stayed much longer! Located only a short drive from all the hoopla of Gettysburg, but fully "in the country", this is a hidden gem...that is worth more than the (most hospitable and helpful) host charges (except for when we get to go back :)) We had trouble making ourselves go into town to "do" all the attractions, it was sooo nice!

Recommended for:Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Awesome Gettysburg Getaway Condo!

This property looked better in person than on the internet. It was immaculate. Ron (the owner who lives upstairs) was there to greet us (we arrived 8 pm ) and showed us the place as well as amenities. The kitchen was fully stocked. Plenty of dishes, glassware, pots and pans. He even had a little basket of a few teabags, sugar, non-sugar sweeteners (which we found helpful, as I forgot my teabags). The closet space and drawer space was more than ample. The only drawback for us was the old 19" TV in the bedroom (no TV in the living room) which would flip off and on by itself. Views awesome (the photo on the web almost makes it seem unbelievable, but the views were better than that photo). The site is only about 15-20 minutes from downtown Gettysburg. We lucked out with the best weather ever. We would recommend this place (bring some cushiony slippers, the floors are gorgeous but hard....as ceramic and wood floors are)............

Our family stayed 4 night in July 2011 and had a fantastic time. The accomodation is clean . spacious , well equipped and the views are just fantastic. With 2 teenage boys , we needed plenty of space (and peace!) - and we were thrilled with the apartment. Ron and his wife were great hosts - sharing local information/history with us that really added to our stay. Highly recommended.

Wonderful & relaxing-close to everything

My family and I had a wonderful time at this gorgeous quiet retreat on a hilltop just outside Gettysburg. The views were spectacular, as advertised. We most appreciated the closeness to everything. We went in and out of Gettysburg at least twice a day. The location puts you even closer to other attractions, such as Land of Little Horses, Cashtown Inn, and Mr. Ed's Elephant Museum. The living spaces were incredibly roomy, and Ron, our host, made sure we had everything we could need, and was readily available to answer questions and provide supplies. We would highly recommend this to any couple travelling with our without children. Our toddler daughter loved running through the hills surrounding the suites. We enjoyed viewing the wildlife, including adorable baby rabbits.

Trip to Gettysburg

My husband, daughter and I stayed at this location and it was absolutely wonderful! The apartment was lovely, convenient and thoroughly enjoyable. We would recommend this location for any trip to Gettysburg as it is a short distance from the battlegrounds and just so very pretty. The mountain and valley view were breathtaking. We plan to stay here again if we ever are lucky enough to travel to Gettysburg again. Ron was the perfect owner and helped us so much! Annette and Hal Paris (from Western New York)

Ron, we thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay and visit with you at your place near Gettysburg last week. Your home is lovely. I never really thought of PA as a vacation destination, but now I certainly do. Thanks for the travel tips. The area is absolutely beautiful, rich with history, and its folks are really quite hospitable.

We had an enjoyable stay here at the Gettysburg Suites. The weather was so clear. The accommodations were very comfortable. The view is beautiful! spent aprt of Sunday and most of Monday at Gettysburg National Park. Very interesting. The visitors center is easy to navigate, very organized. Thank you for the peaceful stay.
