Romantic getaway, quiet retreat after a day at the beach , boating or west Michigan exploration. Secluded yet close to everything including two wonderful DNR Lakeshore State Parks:
"Grand Haven State Park" This is a 48 acre park with beautiful sandy beach on the shore of Lake Michigan and the Grand River to the north. The park has 174 modern campsites on pavement, picnic area, and playground equipment, pier and lighthouse and the boardwalk from the park to Grand Haven are big attractions. And Muskegon's: Hoffmaster State Park: 1,100 acres of forest covered sand dunes along 3 miles of Lake Michigan sandy beach.
Located in a wooded valley are 293 shaded campsites, picnicking, swimming, 10 miles of hiking trails, snowshoeing. A marked 3 mile cross-country trail requiring intermediate skill is available. The Gillette Visitor Center provides interpretations of dune ecology also.
Many other points of interest, including the "Lake's Mall" and dozens of wonderful shops and restaurants surround the area with miles of bike trails to the lakeshore literally minutes away...you will particularly like walking the pier, viewing the boats and the beautiful sunsets the west Michigan lakeshore has to offer.

- Air Conditioning: It's central air controlled by us upstairs BUT the lower part of the house stays cool in summer anyway. We of course run the air in hot/humid conditions.

- Off Street Parking: SINGLE driveway extends off street to lower walkout area of rental.
- Parking for RV/Boat/Trailer: Driveway is rather tight BUT I can back my Suburban with snowmobile trailer in there easily sooo smaller RV's are a possibility and outdoor water, power 220&110 is available....sorry no sewer hookup.
- Wood Fireplace: Wood is provided

- Queen Bed (2) : Extra Queen bed (both beds are pillowtop innerspring mattress sets in excellent hardly used condition) in living room for a maximum of 4 total people or family....additional YOUNG CHILDREN only could possibly sleep on couchs or other arrangements if needed.

Kathy is from the Chicago area and I grew up in Michigan. We both love the lakes and rivers Michigan has to offer as well as all the wonderful seasons. We hope to live a long and healthy life here in the mitten state and doubt very much that we would ever leave it....well maybe some during the winter months as the winters seem to be getting longer :-))
Why the Owner Chose Spring Lake
We love the lake shore area and living by the "Big" lake with the inflows of summer tourism. We also appreciate the fact that living close to the lake shore affects the actual amount of population and traffic.
The Unique Benefits of this Lower Part of House
We're located on a dead end road in a very quiet secluded woodsy type setting, but are still close to everything: highways, airports, trains, wonderful shops and restaurants. The bike trails and parks that compliment the area are also great as well as all the water! We just love it and think you will too!
