Originally constructed for the country’s wealthiest family, the 1000 square meter/10,500 square foot estate home occupies four impeccably landscaped acres in the most exclusive area of Lake Atitlan (locally known as “mansion row”). The estate is now open to guests who seek a unique, exclusive and personalized experience. Although the accommodations are “5 star” quality, it is your ability to customize your stay that sets Nimajay apart. Nimajay has received multiple 5 star ratings and is often the first choice for high end travel agents around the globe.
You can choose to relax on the expansive terraces overlooking the lake or by the pool (the only solar heated pool at Lake Atitlan) and have your every whim catered to by the staff. Or you can simply kick off your shoes and make yourself at home. You can take advantage of all of the activities at the lake or do nothing.
The accommodations offer custom furniture (king or two queen beds), glass walls overlooking the lake and all open to a large terrace.
As the old saying goes “the devil is in the details” and the details at Nimajay are never overlooked. Linens (all minimum 1000 count cotton) were imported from the USA. Your robes are laid out on your bed, fresh flowers decorate your room and it doesn’t stop there.
As the day wanes and the lake turns golden in the setting sun, retire to the upper terrace to enjoy your favorite beverage while basking in the warmth of the fire in the stainless steel fire pit. Then, wander down to the dining room for an excellent meal prepared by your cook. In the morning enjoy our fabulous breakfast before setting out on the day’s adventure. What could be better?
The Estate’s 400 square meter/4500 square foot great room is open to guests. For those who simply cannot leave things behind there are USA television and computer access available.
