Our Lake House was completed in 2008 and has been designed to cater to the discriminating vacationer looking for a premium residence for a week-end getaway or extended stay. This large home is well appointed and is great for family gatherings or for 1, 2 or 3 couples. We are directly across the street from the Cowichan Lake Marina, (Boat rentals available) and just 2 blocks from the terminus of the world famous Trans-Canada Trail. We also have World Class fly fishing, a beach close by and numerous golf courses within an hours drive. The downtown shops & restaurants are just 5 blocks from this home. From June to September this sun-soaked paradise is where South Vancouver Island residents come to holiday. This crystal clear lake is one of the finest on Vancouver Island. Lake Cowichan is a friendly tourist town that grows to over 20,000 during the peak summer months.
INCLUDED with this accommodation is our tiny seaside cottage in Chemainus. It's located on a secluded beach and is great for a private picnic or to just relax around a fire at night. (The sunsets are fabulous) While it might feel like a remote wilderness location, the truth is, you are only 4 blocks from the heart of this picturesque Victorian village.
Guests that have visited both properties claim we have it backwards: "Rent out the cottage and give away the Lake House"

- With your Lake House rental we will extend use of our quaint waterfront cottage. It's situated on a half acre lot just 4 blocks from the heart of Chemainus, a popular tourist destination. (Be sure to research this seaside community) Chemainus is a 40 minute drive from the Lake House. This cottage is on a secluded sand beach and comes with 2 kayaks. The cottage has running water, power and natural gas. This bachelor style cabin can sleep one adult or a couple kids. You also have access to a full bathroom. It features a large very private outdoor picnic area next to the beach. The kitchen lacks appliances but has plates, cutlery, a gas barbecue, plus a kettle for tea or coffee. This is the true West Coast Experience! You get both properties, one on a lake & one on the ocean. Call me for more details on this unique accommodation package.
