Casa Palmeira is located less than an hour from Faro International Airport. The Villa is in a perfect location to enjoy the wonderful Portuguese countryside and climate. **Special Offer! For bookings made and deposit paid in February, pool heating , is included free **
The villa has four bedrooms. The master suite has a super-king-size bed, and an en-suite bathroom with spa bath. The bedroom is air conditioned, and the French windows open on a terrace overlooking the garden and pool. Downstairs there is a king-size bedroom, with en-suite shower-room, and a further double bedroom and a twin bedroom - which share a bathroom. All the downstairs bedrooms have French windows which open onto the terrace leading to the pool.
Upstairs, there is a large airy sitting room, with new leather sofas, and new flat screen television, DVD player, and music system. The dining room is adjacent to that, and both rooms have French windows which open onto the terrace. The kitchen is accessed from the dining room, and is full equipped with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, and dishwasher, with the washing machine in the utility room. There is also a study, with a television as well as a substantial library of books, which you are welcome to use on your visit. The sofa-bed is situated in the study, and is available for use by prior arrangement only.
The Villa is child friendly with all the comforts of home, with perhaps a few extras. We have property managers based in Portugal to help you, in the unlikely event of a problem when you are staying in the villa.
Parque da Floresta itself is a beautifully maintained development, with the championship golf course at its heart. But there is also plenty for the non-golfer to do onsite, and further afield. The Algarve is renowned for its beautiful countryside, gentle climate, and history. There are also water parks for the adventurous. For those who enjoy the sea, there are beautiful beaches within 2 miles of the villa, and many more close by.

We are Chris and Margo Addison-Scott, and we live near Cupar in Fife in Scotland. We have three children, Alexandra, Jamie and Ben. Chris's hobbies are walking, reading and boats. Mine are gardenning, my dogs, Rosie and Bella ( 2 adorable golden retrievers) and managing our pedigree herd of highland cattle. The children are still in full time education. Alex is at Cambridge University and Jamie and Ben are at Strathallan School in Perthshire. Sport plays a major part of their lives. Alex enjoys running, and is in training for her first half marathon, and also lacrosse and rowing. Jamie plays rugby, hockey and is an excellent cross country runner. Ben also plays rugby, as well as tennis, and shoots. We are all generally pretty busy,and so we love to come out to Portugal to escape.
Why the Owner Chose Lagos
We searched long and hard for the perfect holiday home, and we think we have now found it. We loved Portugal the first time we came here, and then decided that we loved it so much we wanted to buy a house here. There are so many lovely places to look, and each holiday after that was an opportunity to check out the best. We decided that the Western Algarve fitted the bill, as it is less developed, and has beautiful beaches. Parque da Floresta had been on our personal horizon for sometime, and we started looking at villas here in about 2006. However it wasn't until 2008 that the perfect villa came on the market and we knew as soon as we saw this one that it was the one for us. Since we bought it we have loved it more and more, and tried to make it a perfect home from home for our family and for families renting it for their holidays too.
The Unique Benefits of this Villa
Casa Palmeira is an entirely restful and relaxing place to spend time. It was built in Parque da Floresta by the Dutch couple from whom we bought it. They spent a lot of time and effort making it just a little bit different from the other houses here. It has wonderful glass oriels in the ceilings of the hall and between the master bedroom and ensuite, both of which introduce lovely light during the day. There are terraces facing different directions so that the sun, or shade, can be enjoyed at all times of the day. We are very lucky not to be overlooked by any other villas, so the garden is always private and secluded.We have tried to make the villa as pretty and comfortable as possible. I had great fun choosing, and having made, the curtains throughout - lots of different fabrics and textures, from silk to calico, with quite a few pretty crystals thrown in for fun! I hope you enjoy it all.
