This vacation rental is ideal for those traveling by themselves or with a spouse. You get the comforts of home in an ideal central location for the same price as a mid-grade hotel! The tasteful, contemporary furniture and finishes provided a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. Thanks to the hosts' attention to detail like fresh cut flowers on the table and comfortable bath towels, I settled in nicely and had an enjoyable stay.

Austin is known for its fun, hip atmosphere and this vacation rental is in the heart of it all on historic West 6th Street. Walk down the driveway for a wonderful Southwestern meal and margarita at ‘Z Tejas. For breakfast or lunch, try the hip Portabla Café which is a few blocks away. In fact, CitySearch selected Portabla as the #2 lunch spot in Austin. If eating-in sounds more appealing, stroll down the street to Whole Foods and pick-up some gourmet food to cook in the vacation rental kitchen. The kitchen is stocked with spices and everything else you need to prepare a home cooked meal.

Although this property is a studio by definition, you'll find the term doesn't do it justice. The thoughtful floor plan creates an excellent division of space. The private courtyard featuring a nice patio table and colorful umbrella also adds to the living space.

If you are looking to travel to Austin, TX, don't pass up this rental! You won't find a better value for the price.

  Pat and I want to reiterate how much we enjoyed staying at your apartment last week. Besides its being more than fully equipped (thanks again for the wine and toaster), the apartment's porch/deck proved to be a welcome oasis at the end of a long day with our new grandchild. We look forward to many opportunities to stay there again. Thanks.

  My husband and I had such a great time in Austin for our first ever visit, and we can't say enough great things about this place. It has everything you need plus touches you appreciate to make it inviting and relaxing as your home base while visiting. Could walk to so many great places from here in minutes. Cool vibe, convenient, welcoming.

  We absolutely loved this condo and the location! The patio is amazingly private - a perfect spot for morning coffee or an afternoon drink. The interior is new and nicely decorated. All the amenities you would want along with a fabulous, comfortable matress. The location is the best! We didn't need a car to go out to eat, shop or have a drink. There are tons of great locations within a 2 block walk and a Whole Foods flagship store practically across the street. But with all these great options so close by, this condo is a quiet and relaxing place to come home to. Craig, the owner, was fantastic to make sure our stay was perfect. We look forward to staying here again on our next trip.

  This was truly a wonderful place to stay, we even got greeted at the door by Craig himself (and a delicious bottle of wine)! The location is terrific, just 3 block away from Lady Bird Lake, about 5-6 blocks west of downtown, and right across the street from Whole Foods; we were able to walk basically anywhere we wanted to visit and rented bikes to go up to the University. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay, especially enjoying some of our meals looking out onto 6th street from the balcony. The condo is perfect for 2 people and everything you could ever need is available. This was truly one of the best places I have ever stayed on a vacation. Thank you for everything!

  We had a wonderful stay in Austin. The accommodations provided us with everything that we needed to make us feel at home. Great location. Close to MUSIC, galleries, restaurants and LadyBird lake. Whole Foods and Waterloo Records were our daily haunts, as well as a few meals at Z Tejas Restaurant. We hope to get back to Austin someday soon and would highly recommend this studio.

  My boyfriend and I stayed here for 5 days and had a wonderful time. While this property is technically a studio, it had a much bigger feel to it and with the deck, it seemed huge! Perfect for two people. Thanks for a great place and a great visit to Austin!

  A jem of a condo. Much more spacious than a typical studio apartment. Lovely outside space on the terrace and the owners have thought of everything - it really is like a home from home. Great location for discovering Austin on foot - we didn't move the car once. Super responsive owners who went out their way to make us feel welcome - many thanks for everything - we will definitely stay again!

  The location and quality of this condo was just absolutely perfect! Craig and Elaine were so kind, helpful and very responsive. There was a personal touch with the fresh flowers, hand written note, and bottle of wine. I couldn't agree more with all the comments other reviewers had. The condo was up to date, comfortable, spacious for a couple, and in the heart of Austin. I loved having a parking spot available when needed but it was great to be able to walk to everything downtown. We will absolutely be back for another stay! Thank you for everything!

  We couldn't have been happier with this apartment...the location is ideal (morning walks to Whole Foods for coffee or a step next door for dinner on the porch at Z Tejas...maybe a stop into REI for back-up gear and then window shopping at west elm). Every day, we made the most of the patio and enjoyed it as an additional space. The studio is impeccably designed and outfitted...every detail is well thought out. If you're that great traveler who doesn't care about room service and just desires a serene space and a feeling of where you are, stay at this apartment. Thank you!!!!!

  We just returned from this Austin treasure, and can't say enough about the condo and its owners. Craig and Elaine were extremely charming and helpful, and responded in such a prompt manner regarding any questions. A gorgeous arrangement of 3 roses and a lovely bottle of wine were awaiting our arrival, which was an extra added delight since we arrived on our anniversary. We could go on and on about the condo, but we would only be echoing the kudos of the prior reviews which were the reason we selected this terrific spot in the first place. As noted, a huge plus is the PERFECT location! Whole Foods, a tourist attraction in and of itself, is only about a block and a half away, along with delightful shops only steps away. Restaurants and entertainment are right up 6th Street or easily within walking distance. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Corazon, and had a terrific Happy Hour at Bess Bistro (Sandra Bullock's restaurant). La Condesa was so delish that we had dinner there on two different nights. Their margaritas are phenomenal with a unique, yummy cactus/lemongrass infused salt rim on the glass. There are many sights to see, but don't miss the Capitol Building and the Bob Bullock Texas History Museum - while there, be sure to see the IMAX movie about Texas, as well. We would not hesitate for a second in recommending this condo, and are looking forward to returning for another visit. We can't think of a single reason why one wouldn't be thoroughly pleased renting this unit. We hated to leave, and have the owners to thank for a most comfortable and memorable experience.
