The location and quality of this condo was just absolutely perfect! Craig and Elaine were so kind, helpful and very responsive. There was a personal touch with the fresh flowers, hand written note, and bottle of wine. I couldn't agree more with all the comments other reviewers had. The condo was up to date, comfortable, spacious for a couple, and in the heart of Austin. I loved having a parking spot available when needed but it was great to be able to walk to everything downtown. We will absolutely be back for another stay! Thank you for everything!

We couldn't have been happier with this apartment...the location is ideal (morning walks to Whole Foods for coffee or a step next door for dinner on the porch at Z Tejas...maybe a stop into REI for back-up gear and then window shopping at west elm). Every day, we made the most of the patio and enjoyed it as an additional space. The studio is impeccably designed and outfitted...every detail is well thought out. If you're that great traveler who doesn't care about room service and just desires a serene space and a feeling of where you are, stay at this apartment. Thank you!!!!!

My husband and I were searching for a place to stay for our first trip to Austin and we found this wonderful condo. Right in the middle of it all, the condo is close to tons of great restaurants, bars, and shopping. All within walking distance. I'll bet we went to Whole Foods four times during our brief stay because it was so close and we do not have one here (yet - coming 2013). We barely used our rental car and will most likely not get one the next time we go to Austin. The unit is so much better than a hotel because it has two outdoor spaces to enjoy. We spent a couple of hours each afternoon outside on the patio before venturing out into the city for the evening. We cannot say enough about how wonderful our stay was. The condo is packed with all the necessities. I had forgotten my hair dryer and was just praying there would be one in the condo - and there was! Not to mention top notch toiletries! We had a fabulous stay and we will definitely be coming back to this great condo. The price is right for such a perfect place!

We just returned from this Austin treasure, and can't say enough about the condo and its owners. Craig and Elaine were extremely charming and helpful, and responded in such a prompt manner regarding any questions. A gorgeous arrangement of 3 roses and a lovely bottle of wine were awaiting our arrival, which was an extra added delight since we arrived on our anniversary. We could go on and on about the condo, but we would only be echoing the kudos of the prior reviews which were the reason we selected this terrific spot in the first place. As noted, a huge plus is the PERFECT location! Whole Foods, a tourist attraction in and of itself, is only about a block and a half away, along with delightful shops only steps away. Restaurants and entertainment are right up 6th Street or easily within walking distance. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Corazon, and had a terrific Happy Hour at Bess Bistro (Sandra Bullock's restaurant). La Condesa was so delish that we had dinner there on two different nights. Their margaritas are phenomenal with a unique, yummy cactus/lemongrass infused salt rim on the glass. There are many sights to see, but don't miss the Capitol Building and the Bob Bullock Texas History Museum - while there, be sure to see the IMAX movie about Texas, as well. We would not hesitate for a second in recommending this condo, and are looking forward to returning for another visit. We can't think of a single reason why one wouldn't be thoroughly pleased renting this unit. We hated to leave, and have the owners to thank for a most comfortable and memorable experience.

My husband and I stayed here for 17 nites in January and found the location to be wonderful. So close to many restaurants, Lady Bird Lake trails, music (try Z'Tejas right next door) and east and west 6th Street attractions. We actually found our favs quickly: 24 Cafe, Bistro Sally, Z'Tejas, Frank's and of course Whole Foods. So much to choose from. The condo is relatively quiet for being in the center of the action, although we did hear heavy footsteps above us but never at night. Easy to make a meal or two because of the staples available in the kitchen. Thanks! That welcome bottle of wine was delightful- we enjoyed it on the lovely balcony in the warm setting sun. Only one suggestion: add a heavy blanket. Some nights were chilly-we used our old Hudson Bay that we keep in the car (we are from Minnesota, after all..) Generally, a well-designed condo with everything you need to have a good time in Austin. We will be back.

This condo was even better than anticipated. Very clean, well stocked with everything one might need to prepare a meal. Whole foods is within walking distance and has an incredible selection of produce, olive oils, seafood, meat and wine! Also many prepared entrees to take home. Portabla cafe has great pannini sandwhiches and soups for take out or dine in, just a 2 minute walk! La Condessa downtown has the best happy hour in town. Tasty tapas, with great presentation and superb cocktails. We sleep in a King sized bed at home, and always have concerns about sleeping in a queen while traveling.....not to worry! This tempurpedic queen bed was so comfortable, we slept just great. The beautiful orchids on the coffee table were very much appreciated, and we also liked the way the coffee table could be adjusted to dining table height.....haven't seen that anywhere but in Europe. Needless to say, utilization of the living space made it all feel spacious and most accomodating. Loved the patio. The old wooden doors make for a lovely entrance and add to the charm, along with the pretty bouganvilla plants. Enough said. We are looking forward to our next visit. Thanks for everything!

I'm hesitant to write the review I really want to write so the next time I come to Austin this place won't be booked. But I have to say - WOW. This was one of the easiest rentals I've encountered. Craig and Elaine took care of everything and even had a birthday card and bottle of wine waiting when we got there. The condo was gorgeous - well decorated, perfectly clean and well stocked with everything. I always bring my own shampoo and conditioner, but used theirs instead as it was of a higher quality (that never happens!) The condo looks just like it does in the photos, is about a block from a great bakery for breakfast treats, close to downtown without all the noise, but still in walking distance, and was really just perfect. Craig was always responsive in answering my (numerous) questions and getting us set up. I would recommend this unit to anyone and I can't wait for my next trip to Austin so I can stay there again. Thank you Craig and Elaine for making my 30th birthday weekend special and effortless!!!

My husband and I stayed at this cozy little studio for two nights in August. It's very clean, charming, comfortable and quiet. Centrally located, we were able to drive or walk to all of the places we planned to go. There was a nice bottle of wine and fresh flowers waiting for us when we arrived, and all of the conveniences we would have in our home. We both loved this place, and will definitely be back and recommend it to anyone.

We cant recommend this place enough. Central, comfortable, beautifully decorated and equipped. Super comfortable bed and couch, great kitchen. Deck with those beautiful wood doors. Welcoming flowers and a bottle of wine. We stayed here coming in to run the Austin Half Marathon and we will most definitely stay here again next time we are in Austin. Thank You!

We've been telling everyone we know who's even remotely interested in visting Austin to stay here. What a great place! The location is ideal -- within walking distance of UT, historical sites, museums, shops, restaurants, not to mention Whole Foods, yet safe and quiet. Even though it's very small, Craig & Elaine have managed to include everything you'd need for a most comfortable stay. And Craig & Elaine are every accommodating, gracious and easy to deal with. We'd recommend it without reservations! Oops -- better make reservations!

The condo was wonderful, CLEAN, and very close to everything downtown. We have used homeaway for many rentals in several cities and this place is at the top of our list! We will be staying here again next time we are in Austin and know that you will be as pleased as we were. Thanks again.

My husband and I loved this condo. It's in the middle of everything but not too noisy, very well equipped and modern. We spent as much time as possible at the end of each day sitting on the patio looking into the trees. No complaints at all - it was perfect! We've rented a few places before but this was our favorite and we can't wait to come back.

I used to live in Austin and was visiting family for a week. This studio is beautiful, charming, with all the amenities you could want. Absolutely perfect location for a great Austin experience, and much, much nicer than being in a hotel. When was the last time a hotel put wine and flowers in your room? I loved it and look forward to staying there again!

This charming "treehouse" feels private and surrounded by nature but it's right in the heart of Austin. The studio space is cleverly designed to feel spacious, it's beautifully furnished, and thoughtfully filled with every item a visitor may need, even an umbrella and flashlight. Walking distance to many amenities and easily accessible to major streets and arteries.

The location was absolutely perfect, as was the condo for our 2 week stay. It was equipped with all the amenities of home, including many nice touches like fresh flowers and wine on our arrival. We loved the neighborhood and all the great restaurants within walking distance. Whole Foods was so convenient; only a block away when we wanted to eat in. We'd definitely stay here again.

We actually stayed here about a year ago, so this is long overdue - we were hoping to rent it again for our upcoming visit, which reminded me to write about what a great time we had here. We've stayed in several places in Austin, specifically in Clarksville, and this was by far our favorite. Beautiful neighborhood, very walkable location. The hosts are terrific and accommodating. Right next to Z-Tejas yet still very quiet. We loved sitting outside on the private deck and drinking coffee. When we first arrived, we were stunned to see the fridge stocked with interesting/varied beers, a bottle of wine, and tons of snacks. The last time I saw anything resembling this kind of hospitality I had to pay about an extra $150 per nite (i.e. Ritz Carlton!). This place is a terrifice find, and we are very sad that it's already booked the nights we will be in Austin! We even considered changing our dates just so we could stay here, but it's just not possible... Thank you!

We really enjoyed our stay here and plan to come back many more times. The complex is charming and well located, near Whole Foods, Town lake, and Downtown Austin. Located next to Z-Tejas and within walking distance of many other eateries made it convenient to grab a snack or enjoy a sit down meal. The apartment is thoughtfully and cleverly appointed. There is not an inch of wasted space and the owners were very thoughtful in providing a stocked pantry, kitchen, extra towels and water. There was even an umbrella for rainy days and totes to go shopping with. There was a niche in the wall that provided movies, games and books to occupy our time if we wished. The flat screen TV and stereo were centrally placed to be viewed throughout most of the apartment. The coffee table cleaverely doubled as a dining table and the apartment finishes were top notch and just lovely. The washer and dryer were conveniently located in a closet on the spacious deck that overlooked oak trees and a sloping entrance to 6th street. This would be a great choice for a couple who want to be located near the action in Austin.

Pat and I want to reiterate how much we enjoyed staying at your apartment last week. Besides its being more than fully equipped (thanks again for the wine and toaster), the apartment's porch/deck proved to be a welcome oasis at the end of a long day with our new grandchild. We look forward to many opportunities to stay there again. Thanks.

My husband and I stayed in this property in April 2009. We have used VRBO many times and this was the best experience by far. The condo was just as presented, immaculate, all amenities were top notch. The unit is perfect for a stay close to downtown with many restaurants within walking distance. Whole Foods is 2 blocks away for supplies or a take-out meal to enjoy on the deck of the condo. Craig and Elaine were wonderful hosts, leaving a personal note, fresh flowers and a bottle of wine. What more could you ask for? We will definitely stay again.

Gosh, where to begin? This was the cutest, most convenient, comfortable, relaxing place I've stayed in a long time. Right across from Whole Foods, next to an amazing mexican restaurant (Z Tejas), near a great bakery (Sweetish Hill) and unfortunately for me, one of the most awesome ice cream shops I've ever been to called Amy's. I gained 5 lbs during my visit to Austin! Totally worth it though. Craig and Elaine were great hosts, too. I arrived to a nice note and bottle of wine. There were a few snacks in the pantry as well. I will definitely stay here again. Oh, one last thing...the Tempurpedic mattress was soo comfy. I slept like a rock! :) Thanks guys!

This little condo in the heart of Austin is the perfect place, (infinitely better than a hotel). It's close to UTA, downtown, Whole Foods Market (which was of particular importance to me). It's a great place to call home base if you're getting to know Austin in it's many forms. We were able to walk to dinner if we wanted or jump on the freeway. Your attention to detail created a beautiful little hideaway in the midst of it all.

A fantastic spot to enjoy a getaway in Austin. Perfect location! Walking distance to several hot restaurant areas and just one block from the mega originial Whole Foods. Interior seems very spacious for a studio. Minimalist but comfy. Like you're borrowing your super hip friend's place for the weekend. Hosts are amazing! Left lots of info on local restaurants and fun little soaps and bath supplies, including a hair dryer with real power. Everything you need to cook an awesome dinner and enjoy it on the private patio. No pantry items, so defintely bring that along - but no worries on knives, utensils, pots, glassware, plates etc. Hosts were so accomodating that they were able to ok another nights stay with ione quick phone call when my flight was cancelled. Left me a nice bottle of wine to enjoy as well. Can't recommend this place enough!
