  This truly was a find. We had some doubts that this unit would live up to its listing, but the price was right so we hoped for the best. We were pleasantly surprised. The view was amazing and the unit itself was spotless, nicely decorated, and well stocked for an enjoyable vacation in paradise!

  What a disappointment! At our arrival the place was dirty and very poorly maintained. Not to mention the kitchen supplies are depleted (we only found some salt, pepper and coffee) there is no ice maker. The website pictures are old, the unit doesn't look as shown, SURPRISE!! Worn and dirty rugs on top of carpets are tripping hazards; a portable fan was so dirty with fuzz that we could not use. To watch TV, you must use a stick to hold the door open of the armoire where has been place in top of a file cabinet (what a waste of space) I could go on, but my blood pressure is getting high! We were ready to move out the day that we arrive; we did contact the owner but could not move since we had no plans to forfeit the prepaid rent. Just before we left, took some pictures and sent to the owner. Their response was”… that they were sorry, they recognize that the issue with that fans are disgusting, that the maintenance issues could have been fixed in an afternoon if they just new…..” Sorry, the owners should check the place once in a while, it is not after the consumer to the quality control. I will not recommend this overpriced property to any one. There are better maintained units in the same complex. In a positive note, good location and great views.

We work hard to ensure guests are completely satisfied with their experience at Kaimana, and we are always looking for ways to make improvements for future guests. You are correct that it is not up to the consumer to do quality control, so we have stepped up our pre-check in walk through. We have deep cleaned the unit and repaired the armoire hinge. We truly love this space and we do our best to keep it clean and well maintained. We are updating the website photos, the only difference from the current photos are the rugs on the floor. It is unfortunate that after your initial email, we were unable to reach you to resolve any problems. If you had responded to the messages we left about a rebooking, or had moved out of the unit, we could have had a better resolution. We appreciate you sharing the issues after you left, we just wish you gave us an opportunity to resolve them upon your arrival. Thank you for sharing your insight.

  We finished up a long Hawaiian vacation with three final nights in Maui. We were there from March 22-March 25th. As promised by Melissa, the whale watching was fabulous!! We had a hard time tearing ourselves away from the lanai as every time we turned to leave, another pod of whales would start showing off!! The unit was spotless upon arrival and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The studio was well appointed with such nice attention to details! Wonderful,thick, soft towels, very comfortable bed with great sheets and our daughter said she slept well on the pull out sofa. We also had plenty of extra bath towels in the closet along with FIVE beach towels! There were also beach chairs and noodles on the lanai. There was a large selection of DVDs to watch and one called The Road to Hana that we didn't see until we were leaving. Rats!! Melissa was a great hostess and was readily accessible by telephone should we need anything. I knew nothing about Maui as far as where to stay. This location was excellent! Quiet street yet very close to HWY 30 and Lahaina. I would highly recommend staying at this property! All the pictures truly depict this unit. You are THAT close to the sea!

  Terrific studio condo. Everything you need and more. Owner provides all things for beach excursions, coolers, boogie boards, umbrella, chairs, towels. Fully equipped kitchen. Lanai provides beautiful sunsets and whale watching. QUIET and close walk to beaches, stores, open air market, and restaurants.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

  I hate to share with everyone... because I would love this place ALL to myself! This condo was amazing and the price was RIGHT! It was EXACTLY as pictured! It was not misleading in anyway... in fact pictures could not do it justice. Melissa was great from the get go. She was easy and nice to communicate with prompt responses. Very easy check in... just as described. When we arrived, we fell in love. The condo is decorated with Maui love with fun artwork and little details. The view is amazing, with a large lanai that we spent many nights eating a homemade meal with a class of wine, watching the sunset. And for the whale lovers.. there are many. We loved to spend our mornings watch the whales breaching right in front of us. Better action than the whale watching excursion we went on. Plenty of pots, pans and supplies. She even leaves you shampoo, conditioner, soaps, blow dryer, ect. She also was a great point person while on the island; offering suggestions and answering questions. I would 100% return here. I will 100% be back to this condo the next time I am on Maui. Thanks Melissa!! Katie

  My fiancé and I stayed here from December 22th-December 28nd 2012. From the time of the inquiry about the property to after we left, Melissa was extremely helpful! She made our stay that much more enjoyable! The place was very clean, it had anything and everything you would want and need, even body boards! The place had an amazing view of the ocean, and it was so peaceful to hear the ocean every night before we went to sleep! The area was very nice and the location was perfect! If and when we go back to Maui, we will definitely stay here!

  It's a great place for small group people to spend time in Maui. The owner prepares everything for you just like you live in a 4-stars hotel room. Great ocean view and nice location, close to everything. If I have time, i will rent this place once more time. Btw, the owner is very nice and easy to talk with.

  What a fabulous condo! We absolutely loved your place, Melissa! You were so great to work with as I had many questions and you were very helpful. Your place felt like home, it was so cozy and comfortable with your decorations, wonderful bed and nice linens & towel. Your extras that you provide also came in handy, we used the boogy boards, the chairs, beach towels and coolers every day. We loved that we could make our meals in the kitchen, but also had several places nearby to eat at also. The location was great, you're able to get on the bus 1 block away that took us to Lahinia and Kaanapali Beach area and then came back to a nice and peaceful place where you can sit and hear the waves of the ocean all night long from your place. We have rented a lot of places on VRBO and loved yours, you obviously take very nice care of it and the top thing for us was that it was very clean!! We will definitely be back and book your place early so it's open. For anyone who is looking at renting this I would highly recommend! Mahalo!!

  I would recommend this charming studio condo to any friend or family member. The lanai looked right out on the water where turtles were swimming. The condo was clean and well-maintained. We are planning to return there again!

  This condo was a perfect home base for our trip to Maui. The location was superb, easy to get to Kapalua, Lahaina and everywhere else you would want to go in West Maui. The view was absolutely wonderful - even better than the pictures. You are feet from the water - the only thing between you and the ocean is a little grassy area with lounge chairs you can use. We saw amazing sunsets every night, and a large sea turtle right outside the sea wall. You could also hear the waves from everywhere in the condo which made for a very relaxing stay. The whole condo was great - the pictures really do not do this condo justice, it was even better than we expected. The condo was spotless and in great condition, and there were even thoughtful touches like a first aid kit, cooler, boogie boards and beach chairs. the kitchen was also fully stocked with appliances and dishes. We had everything we needed for an amazing trip. Mahalo for an amazing stay and we will be back!

  Charming place, great location, well-stocked and clean. One of the main reasons I selected this property was for the lanai, and it did not disappoint. I loved dining there in the day and late night, watching and listening to the sea. It's the perfect sound to go to sleep to. I'd be back in a flash.

  It was a pleasure staying at Melissa's condo for two days. She was accommodating when our flight got delayed by a day, I am really grateful for that. We had a wonderful breakfast in the lanai overlooking the ocean - what bliss! The condo itself is beautifully furnished, equipped with everything one can need. Our stay this time was very short, so we didn't get to spend much time in the condo. I really look forward to returning in the future for a longer time. Thank you Melissa!

  We had a great time staying at this condo - it was exactly as listed in the descriptions and pictures, and very clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable (we didn't try out the sofa bed) and having a well stocked kitchen was also a bonus as we saved some money by staying in. Our favorite part was the balcony, where we had breakfast every day and saw some beautiful sunsets. The condo complex itself is very quiet and peaceful. We didn't have a chance to look at the amenities listed, but we did go to the beach that is about 5 minutes south of the complex. Melissa was super helpful and always prompt in her reply. This was our first time booking through vrbo and we were so pleased! The condo is in Kahana, which is about 10 minutes north of Ka'anapali and 20 minutes away from Lahaina, which worked out well for us because we had rented a car. We loved being so close to these main towns, but also far enough that it was a little more secluded and private. We didn't walk around in Kahana as much (it is not as big as Lahaina) but there was a grocery store about a 10 minute walk from the condo. If you stay here, try going to Napili or Kapalua bay close by to snorkel! We also had great sandwiches at Mama's Ribs & Rottiserie, which is about a 10 min drive in Napili, and good Poke from Foodland Farms in Lahaina.

  We stayed here for 6 days. It was very nice and well put together space. The Lanai is great and has beautiful sunsets! We used the Grill downstairs and it was great. The kitchen is small, but adequate. There are nice touches throughout the apartment that make it feel like home. No direct beach access, although there are nice beaches about a 5 minute walk away.

  My wife and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary at this condo and we had a great time. It was a quiet complex, very clean and had all the necessary amenities of home. Located close to Lahaina, we didn't have to go far for good restaurants, snorkeling, beaches and overall sight seeing...even the view from the Lanai itself was simply amazing...we ate breakfast out there almost every morning since it was so peaceful and beautiful! Definitely somewhere we would love to go back to!!! Thanks for making our stay so memorable!!!

  This is a great condo. It was very easy to access. Traffic in this area is very light yet it is within a short drive to restaurants and markets. The condo was clean and nicely equipped. We loved that there were accessories available such as beach chairs, a cooler, shopping bags... The bed was comfortable. Internet service was easy to connect to. You can hear the ocean just 30' from the lanai. I would stay here again and again.

  The listing is exactly as we found it to be. This was our first time to Maui and we looked for something on the ocean but yet affordable. This place was fantastic - it met all of our requirements when we were looking. All the extras were really appreciated - free wifi, a small library of books, an information binder, the full kitchen with everything you need, the beach towels and beach chairs, the coolers, the boogie boards etc. The view is awesome! Our favorite beach was Kapalua - saw eels, turtles, one octopus, one ray of some type and tons of fish. We also snorkeled at Napili Point - great place to see lots of turtles. We attended the live community theatre in Wailuku - the Historic Iao Theatre - for $40 you get a meal and the live theatre - which we found to be excellent. We also did some of the other things including Road to Hana, whale watching, Ulalena (excellent), Haleakala and lots of time in old Lahaina. The condo is a short drive to Lahaina which we really enjoyed. Overall excellent holiday and the condo added to a fantastic time. A HUGE thank you to Linsay who was very helpful. We would wholeheartedly recommend this condo to anyone going to Maui - you won't be disappointed.

  I was coming to Maui to officiate a wedding, and was definitely on a budget. I viewed a number of condos around where the bride and groom were staying, and emailed several of the owners. Jill was 100% accommodating in her response, disclosed all applicable fees, and was super friendly. Based on her responses and the photos of the condo, I chose this one. It was better than expected. The first night we got there, I took my 11 year old daughter (the flower girl), to the grocery store- she had a great time planning our menu for the week (make sure to budget for groceries!). The kitchen was spacious and airy. Everything was incredibly clean, and the bed was super comfy. We woke up to the sounds of crashing waves every morning, and went to sleep the same sounds every night. I was a little frustrated when we first got there, because the property has a sea-wall in back, and I didn't immediately see the beach access (from first glance, it looks like it belongs to the property next door). However, after going back and looking over the documents Jill provided I figured it out. It had been a long trip.... The pool is nice- I didn't have to use the laundry facilities, but based on the whole property, I'm sure they were great, too. The condo was within easy driving distance of a number of beaches and snorkeling properties, as well as hiking, shopping etc. Finally- I emailed Jill after leaving to let her know that I had broken her cooler and that my kid had tracked sand all through the condo despite my best efforts to stop her :) Her response was so open and friendly, I was glad I had chosen her property. I would DEFINITELY stay here again. I can't recommend enough!

  Great condo for a great price. We spent our honeymoon in this condo and had a wonderful time. The scenery is breathtaking, the condo is clean and the decor added a wonderful exotic feel. The location is perfect. You are two blocks away from some great restaurants that you will only find on Maui. Right next to the condo is a beautiful semi private beach. We actually enjoyed this beach more than any of the others that we visited. It was nice having the gas grill available for BBQing. Jill and Dave were really kind and made sure nothing was lacking. Thanks for a great stay.

  We would thoroughly recommend this private little paradise. The photo's and descriptions are accurate, and in fact even better in real life! The apartment is beautifully clean, is complete with all mod cons, and the owner Melissa was really helpful in getting back to us straight away with any questions we had before we arrived. In particular, the apartment is filled with a serene energy that really helped us to relax and feel at home. The lanai was perfect for a leisurely breakfasts whale-watching and enjoying the stunning sunsets. One of the highlights was being lulled to sleep each night to the sound of the ocean waves. One other wonderful thing is the proximity to the local amenities. Within a stone's throw there is a parade of great restaurants, and you can easily walk to beach too. Also within easy reach are Whaler's Village and Lahaina, both of which make nice little day trips. All in all we couldn't recommend this place more, and hope you enjoy your stay as much as we did.

  The closeness to the ocean is the shining light of this condo. It is amazing. Perfect for two. Many added touches by the owner to make it even better. The deck is private. We cooked in the kitchen everyday and spent most of our time on the deck when we were there. We watched whales morning, noon and night. Beautiful views of the other islands, sunsets, rainbows. This is a small complex, quiet. You can walk to many restaurants and be in the thick of activities in no time. The pool is not ocean front but large and private. It is a wonderful swimming pool. Would I rent again? Absolutely. And would send friends. We are a couple in our 50's. We hike, snorkel, swim, eat fresh foods and drink premium wine and drink fruity cocktails. We spent 16 nights at this condo.

  Aloha and Mahalo, We enjoyed the time we had in Maui very much. Every morning for breakfast we would eat on the balcony. We watched the waves roll in. It was very beautiful. We saw the moon shining down on the ocean, making the water shimmer. It was a gorgeous sight. This was a great place to stay! Mahalo for the fabulous stay at your place.

  all of the pictures are very accurate and the place is awesome. you are very close to everything you want to see. we were there a week and could have stayed forever. there is a blender for pina coladas, better view for dinner than any restaurant. i used the grill and made steaks and ate them right on the lanai. there are boogie boards and beach chairs to use, also beach towels. we enjoyed visiting napili bay, they have a beautiful beach with calm waters. shopped at safeway to save money eating in rather than dining out every meal.kaanapali beach is the most beautiful beach i went to on maui and only a short drive away.great place i ate was the hula grill in whaler's village on kaanapali beach.the property grounds are well maintained and beautiful. also chose the old lahaina luau and it was very entertaining and the food was excellent. i can't wait to return again sooner than later i hope. mahalo to jill for allowing us to stay in her beautiful condo!!

  What a great fit and place for us - it exceeded our expectations - and did provide the romantic environment we were looking for. A highlight, or course, was the deck overlooking the Pacific - we spent alot of time out there - it was quite windy - but not on the deck which was very cool! We would love to return and stay with you again in the future. Please feel free to use us as a reference if the need should be appropriate.

  Aloha! Our 30th anniversary was so special, we've had a great time. Your place has the best view - ocean, mountains, whales (lots)! and the prettiest rainbows.   Thank you so much for an amazing place to stay for our "babymoon". This was our second stay in Maui, but your ohana was by far better than the last! We had everything we needed and were so comfortable. We also LOVED watching the whales and sunsets from the lanai. Thanks again!
