We could not have asked for anything more. Exceeded our expectations. Not a single problem, glitch encountered. Six of us stayed very comfortably here for 1 week. Perfectly equipped. Kids able to cook a wonderful mother's day dinner in the completely equipped kitchen. Location was perfect. Able to walk to Howard for the graduation ceremonies. Metro an easy walk and plenty of cabs. Numerous trips to DC and this was by far the best!! So glad to see Columbia Hts getting the attention it deserves. Thanks for a wonderful allowing us to stay in your condo.

Luxury in-Town Brownstone, Block to Metro, Shopping, Museums

The three couples in our party thoroughly enjoyed the cleanliness, decor and central location of this classy Brownstone. The pictures of the home were spot-on. The information about the home and the adjoining neighborhoods as well as all that DC has to offer was detailed and thorough. And to come "home" each night to comfortable and classy surroundings was an added joy. The Brownstone was perfect for the three couple. The three bedrooms and three bathrooms upstairs gave each the private space to relax. The first floor living/kitchen area was large enough to gather and still not be on top of each other. The comment that best summarized our stay came from one of the wives and we all agreed, "We could stay here for another month and still be most comfortable."

Family vacation week

We traveled to DC with 4 children and two in-laws. The property is in a quiet part of Columbia Heights. Very convenient to the metro, there is a grogery store around the corner as well as a Target. There are several restaurants within a short walk, we tried many of them and all were great. Particular favorites were Acre 121, The Heights, and Lou's which was more of a restaurant and bar but family friendly. Pete's New haven style pizza was terrific! The condo was immaculate and had all of the amenities needed for even a moderate sized group to be comfortable. Plenty of bathrooms and shower space. The layout is modern and airy. A couple of notes from our group, which may or may not be a concern to others but are worthy of mentioning: 1) The decor is wonderful but not entirely small child friendly. We had to put a lot of it up and out of reach to keep my 3 year old from playing ball with the twine orbs! 2) There is wifi but the computer in the unit didn't really work. Luckily we had a lap top with us. 3) We tended to spend evenings after dinner in the unit. There was one TV but it may have been nice to have at least one more in a bedroom. Other than that it was a wonderful place, owners were resonposive to needs and we would definately rent from them again.

Convenient and Roomy

There were six of us staying in this apartment. All three bedrooms were nice and there were three full bathrooms so easy to get everyone ready. The apartment was clean and nice. Very close to grocery store and only a few blocks from the Metro Station. The kitchen was missing a few things that we could have used such a hand mixer or potatoe masher. The kitchen is small so there is not a lot of room for people to be working. The computer does not work, so if you need a computer, bring your own. The stairs are pretty steep so if someone has trouble with stairs, this is not the place to stay. We would stay here again. The owners were very good a communicating.

Very Comfortable and Convenient

My family of 7 senior adults stayed a week here as we visited the sights of Washington DC. We had plenty of room and were happy to have a private bath for each couple. Our one single person had the sofa bed and half bath downstairs, so it worked out well. We used the kitchen every day and, although there are good restaurants very close by, we found relaxing "at home" after a long day of sightseeing was just what we needed. The Giant grocery store had everything we needed and was an easy walk. Also the metro rail was great. None of us live where we have access to this kind of transportation but we found it to be very efficient and convenient. We loved DC and part of that experience was the great place we stayed. I would have only one word of caution regarding this property: stairs. There are many stairs outside and even more inside. The property was very clean and well maintained. Would highly recommend.

Even before we arrived I found Paula to be extremely helpful and pleasant, all emails were answered very quickly and she also sent us a 30+ pages guide to Columbia Heights and Washington DC which was very helpful. The apartment itself was very clean, well stocked on everything and spacious enough for the seven of us. The kitchen is fully-equipped with a big fridge, big cooker and a dish-washer, we were able to cook a Christmas dinner for seven as if we had been at home. Every bedroom has its own closet. One of the bedrooms has a curtain instead of a door, but it was no problem as we had two teenagers slepping there. The rear bedroom has a terrasse with chairs and a low table, looks like a nice place to sit in the summer. There is wi-fi plus a computer and a printer. Just around the block is Columbia Heights metro station (yellow and green lines) which brings you to downtown very quickly. Plenty of taxis near the metro too. The area around the metro is very lively : supermarkets, shops, plenty of take-away places and a few restaurants too (I recommand The Heights : good food, pleasant atmosphere and service). In short, we were all very happy to have chosen this place, and our party's age range went from teenagers to elderly grandparents.

this apartment was spacious, well-appointed, and clean. very close to the metro and bars/clubs/restaurants, stores. also very affordable for our group of 7 (attending a conference at the convention center). the owners were very professional and easy to work with. i will definitely seek out this place again next time i am in DC with a big group.

The place was very close to a Metro stop and a grocery store. Whoever cleans the condo deserves a pay raise - it was spotless. It was perfect for our family vacation and had plenty of breathing room. This area of DC felt like a real neighborhoob - real folks walking kids to school and going to work. We would stay there again.

We stayed for a week with a family of 8 (22-11 yrs) in this modern 'boutique' house. Pleasant 'hood with transport and shops nearby. (had no car) All modern comfort incl PC and very efficient airco system troughout - not to be despised in weltering heat of summer. Washington itself is absolutely fabulous for the culture seeking tourist with free entry to superb museums (National gallery, american history) and caters very well for more worldly needs (food and shops) we easily could have spent another week to visit out of town places like Mt Vernon. All the contacts with the owners were swift and to the point and very friendly. Will stay again and warmly recommend.

My wife and I chose this condo as a home base for giving my two sisters their first look at the nation's capital. We couldn't have been more pleased. The home is elegant with a great kitchen and very comfortable beds and living quarters. The Metro is just a couple blocks away, and all the amenities of home are within easy walking distance. While I did bring a car, it is completely unnecessary here, since a cab drive for the four of us was very inexpensive when we chose not to use the Metro. All in all, our trip was enhanced by having the luxury of a home while on a vacation. I'd recommend this site to anyone.

My family of 7 stayed here Feb 2011 for a full week. It was wonderful. The place was fully stocked with what you'd expect in a hotel, but it was much more homey and welcoming. New, very well-done finishing inside. Felt like a luxury place without the pretentiousness. Being two blocks from the metro and a block from shopping were ideal. It was like living as a true DC resident, except I didn't have to clean at the end of the week. Almost anything we wanted was walkable. As we toured DC, my kids kept wanting to go back "home" to this condo. This was like home, and everybody referred to it that way. Not "the hotel" or "the condo", definitely "home." And there are plenty of books about what to do and see in DC while relaxing at night. If I ever return to DC, this is where I hope to stay.

I travel to Washington, DC for overnight several times per year. I usually stay at a hotel, but for this particular visit, I wanted my girlfriends (who were traveling from Connecticut) and I to stay somewhere that would give us more of a home feeling. I saw the pictures of the property online and loved it...however...when I walked into the acutal property...OMG!!! I was "IN LOVE"!! The photos of the brownstone are nice....but they do NOTHING for how the property actually looks in the inside. It was extremely neat and clean- but not to the point that we were not comfortable and scared to touch things. Every room in the house was BEAUTIFUL and clean...the kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes as well as pots and pans! There were five of us that stayed and there was more than enough room-- the beds were extremely comfortable, the bathrooms were beyond clean and there was plenty of linen provided for us! The owners did an EXCELLENT job in making sure we made it into the property ok as well as checked in with us while over the course of the weekend. It was the BEST!! I would DEFINITELY recommend this property to a friend and/or relative and I am looking forward to staying at the property again!!

Did a three person girls' trip, the unit could not have been more perfect for our needs. It was as pictured, VERY clean, and all our needs were met. Many of our needs were within walking distance as well. I would return to DC just to stay here.

We were 3 couples staying at this wonderful, conveniently located, clean apartment for a week in May, 2010. The pictures on the website are exactly what it looks like. Beautiful furnishings, very comfortable, kitchen furnished with everything we needed. Computer setup for your convenience. Nice balcony off one of the bedrooms. It is close to the metro, shopping and great restaurants that Jarek can recommend to you. I would highly recommend staying at this beautiful townhouse.

What a great place. Convenient to the Metro which is right around the corner with number of restaurants and grocery stores. The unit was lot bigger than expected and very nicely furnished with modern decor. We spent ten days here with my three teenage daughters and my in-laws and had plenty space for all of us. The owners were super nice and provided great tips on where to eat and what to do, so we felt right at home as opposed to being just tourists. I stayed here with three friends for 6 days. All the rooms were bigger than I expected and well furnished (especially the kitchen was wonderful!). It was so convenient because Metro station and Mall were just around the corner. The owner`s hospitality was great. Though we rented this apartment from Japan, the owner responded immediately and properly to our questions and requests. We really appreciate it. I would like to rent again soon! We would highly recommend this place not only for people in US, but also for people from foreign countries.

This is a great property! It was immaculate when we checked in. It is tastefully designed and appointed, including a great kitchen. We felt at home from the moment we walked in the door. The apartment was very spacious and easily accommodated our family of six and family friends who visited during our stay in DC. It was very nicely furnished, very modern, spotless, lot bigger than I expected and just very nice all around. The apartment was around the block from the Metro stop as well as grocery store and Target (both of which came in handy when traveling with teenagers). We have enjoyed discovering DC from this location and our kids loved seeing the neighborhood and exploring surrounding areas such as Adams Morgan. We would highly recommend this place.

The apartment was the ideal location from which to travel through DC. The metro is literally around the corner along with tons of shopping, restaurants and Starbucks. We walked down to the Mall and while we could have taken the Metro, we preferred getting to know the neighborhood and seeing all the historic homes along the way. Would highly recommend this location to anyone and of course, the unit was absolutely gorgeous.

My family spent a week at this wonderful condo over Christmas holidays and loved everything about it. The location is wonderful and close to everything. We found the unit very clean, fresh and almost feeling brand new and even nicer than we saw on the website. The neighborhood felt very safe, the Metro was just around the corner along with Giant grocery store, restaurants and numerous shops. We especially enjoyed the local Pizza place Red Rocks, which is just around the corner from the condo. We walked everywhere and used Metro to get to all the sights. The owner gave us great tips on where to go eat and was very accommodating. I highly recommend this place.
