Plantation Palms is the newest condominium at Gulf Shores Plantation Resort, a 26 acre ocean-front campus of several condominium buildings and recreational facilities.

The resort is also adjacent to Kiva Dunes golf course, west of downtown Gulf Shores on an idyllic finger peninsula winding westward, ending at historic Fort Morgan on the entrance to Mobile Bay north, and the Gulf of Mexico to the south.
Next to Gulf Shores to the east is Orange Beach, a sister beach town community adjacent to the Alabama/Florida state line, 20 minutes to Pensacola and the Naval Air Base, home of the world famous Blue Angels.
I am the original owner of the condo which is my "home away from home". I love the location's peaceful ambience, quiet sunsets, beautiful white uncrowded beaches, and lovely lush landscaping throughout the grounds and pool areas .
The resort has 6 outdoor pools, an indoor pool, exercise room, steam and sauna rooms, indoor and outdoor jacuzzis, 7 lighted tennis courts, and much more. In winter, the indoor pool building is my favorite place - I do some pool laps, spend time in the jacuzzi, then the sauna and steam bath! The facility also has men and women locker rooms and showers.
And even though The Plantation is away from crowds, you're not isolated! At The Plantation there is a beachside restaurant for drinks/light lunches, upscale dining at The Beach Club Restaurant - 1/8 mile east, great food at Tacky Jack's marina restuarant to the west, and lunch/dinner daily at the Kiva Dunes clubhouse, an easy walk from "the Palms". For groceries, there are several stores within a 1/2 mile.
All in all, the The Plantation Resort is an ideal venue for a spring break, summer vacation, family reunion, romantic weekend getaway, winter hideaway from the snow and ice, and even "on the beach" marriage ceremonies! And the best place to stay at The Plantation is Plantation Palms Condominiums!
My condo has ceramic tile flooring throughout except for bedroom carpeting. The balcony has tile flooring, patio table with 4 chairs, and two electric power outlets. Special features in the condo include- a custom designed kitchen with more cabinets and counter space than found in the standard 1BR unit, a full mirrored wall in the living room, and new hallway storage cabinets with bookcase shelving replace the original upper twin bunk bed.
The master bedroom has two large closets (a 5 shelf floor-to-ceiling closet and a 2 shelf double door closet); the living room has an "office" desk in one corner for reading/writing/computer use.
The condo is on the 2nd floor with great ocean views, thus providing easy access without waiting for an elevator!
And bring your laptop- free WiFi Internet connection in the condo!

Why the Owner Chose Other Gulf Shores Properties
It is out of town away from the crowds, but next to Kiva Dunes golf course, and just minutes from Fort Morgan at the mouth of Mobile Bay. This is also where you can take the car ferry to Dauphine
Island with a bridge to the mainland and city of Mobile. Then, from Mobile, you can drive around the Bay and circle back to Gulf Shores taking the route along the eastern shore through the town of Fairhope. It is a very scenic one day excursion and a great way to explore the area.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
The Plantation resort complex has all the amenities one would want. It is quiet and secluded, and has a great beach and ocean views from the condo. The complex has about 26 acres, with plenty of space for kids to roam, far away from the highway 180 entrance.
The clubhouse restaurant is open to the public and just a few minutes walk from the condo.
Adjacent to The Plantation Resort is "The Beach Club" resort restaurant, bar and grill ... open to the public
Fort Morgan saw action in the Civil War guarding the entrance to Mobile Bay and the city of Mobile at the north end of the bay.

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful condo! It was our second time there and there is plenty to do , but really I just go to do nothing but relax on the beach! There are several places to eat lunch right in Plantation Palms and chair and umbrella rentals right there - but yet it is not crowded. I would highly recommend this condo for relaxation! But there is plenty to do if you want that kind of vacation!

We really enjoyed our stay at this condo... great view of the beach from balcony! Very easy walk to all amenities! The Pools and hot tub were so nice! It was like being at a your own private resort! If you want relaxation away from the main drag in gulf shores...this is it! The beach was not crowded at all, super clean, and so peaceful! The condo was great and the washer/dryer was a huge plus! The main resturants are not very far at all to get too! The Beach club is close by within 1 mile offering great dinner... we ate breakfast at Kiva Dunes which is a 3 minute walk from condo and it was awesome! Overall, we really had an awesome time and would defintitely recommend this condo to anyone! :) Thanks!

We booked the condo for our family of four for Labor Day weekend. Even though Tropical Storm Lee came and tried to ruin our weekend, we still had a great time. The condo was roomy enough for our family, since we spent much more time inside than we expected. A well-stocked kitchen, table for games and puzzles, nice-sized tv to watch football, and a perfect view of the pools and ocean. Because the Plantation has a fabulous indoor pool, jacuzzi, game room, library, and exercise room, there was plenty to do inside. When we had a few minutes without rain, we enjoyed ALL the pools! The condo was very clean and had all the amenities listed. I had a question for Tom and had to call his cell phone in the middle of the day. He answered his phone and has my question answered right away. Great to work with. We'll definitely be back!

The condo was as pretty as the pic on the web site. it was our first time to Gulf Shore and we had a great time.Our whole family enjoyed the trip. The condo had everything you needed , the washer / dryer made it nice also ,we went home with no dirty clothes to deal with. Can't wait to go back. Ok..We felt fortunate to even find this condo Available as we sort had to wait to the last minute to book..fortunately it was available...First of all, Tom was great to deal with...Spoke the truth about the Condo and there was nothing misleading at all about his info. Unit is on 2nd floor and at first I thought I would regret that as I usually am up much higher...However, the grounds are very nice and you still have a Beach View as well and can feel the wind and hear the Beach from the Balcony. Condo was Clean, Decorated nice and I really liked the fact it was off the Main Drag from Gulf Shores, however, you are only a 15-20min drive into town for dining. We found ourselves running down to the Fresh Seafood Market 3 or 4 times tho and had them Steam us Shrimp, Corn, Potatoes and bring it back to the Balcony, which proved to be better food and Cheaper than any restaurant around! The place was comfortable for my Wife and I. Theoretically I Guess you could sleep 4-6 with bunk Bed in Hall and sofa...It might be a tad crowded with that many, but if you were looking to save a few $$$ and did not mind being tight it would be good. The pools are close by and supplied with Grills for cooking and there is also a small Beach Coffee/Beer Sundry of you wanna hang out and get a snack. wife and I made pictures while down there as well, as I am a Semi-Professional Photographer as well...Loved the more natural setting of the Beach with the Sand Dunes. I do not have one negative about the place..As I said, Tow was great to deal with..responded when I emailed him while down there as well. This place is on our "LIKE" List very much!

This condo was everything and more that we anticipated. It was located in a great location and I enjoy my days of sitting on the balcony looking at the gulf. I have been to Gulf Shores many times and I must say this ranks as one of the most memorable. When visiting again in the future I will surely look up this condo as a place to stay. The next time that I come I will be hopefully getting married on the beach, and this condo will be the place that I desire to stay.
