Come enjoy our tastefully decorated modern home in “The Pines” of beautiful Fairfield/Pagosa Springs. Just up the hill from Pagosa’s renowned natural hot springs and full spa, and near great golfing (golf course is within 300 yards from our home), fishing, restaurants and a short drive to Wolf Creek ski resort, these accommodations are ideal for avid thrill-seekers, or for those searching peace and solitude, enjoyed in the ponderosa-shaded backyard.

Relish the beautiful sunsets and views of the foothills from one of two covered decks or just enjoy the many Ponderosas in the backyard, which is surrounded by neighboring vacant lots. Radiant floor heating and river-rock gas fireplace keeps this home cozy in the winter. Shade trees and fans in all rooms make summer temperatures just right. This three bedroom two bath home sleeps up to nine people with one King bed in the master, one queen bed in second bedroom, one full/twin bunk in third bedroom and a deluxe Queen futon in the living room. The master bath has a jet tub for soaking after an exhilarating day of powder skiing. Luxuriate amidst clean designer linens and pillows, a newly-appointed full Gourmet kitchen with new stainless steel appliances, new large screen LCD TV (sorry, no cable/satelite reception),DVD/CD player (with an extensive movie/CD library) and stereo system, wireless internet, and electric BBQ. Park out of the elements in the garage.

Partake in three season access to the four stocked ponds (daily/weekly passes available at the rec center) or using the Fairfield Recreation Center (daily/weekly fees apply). The more experienced angler may easily access the San Juan River, Lake Hatcher, and other blue ribbon trout lakes and streams. Our home is yards from the legendary Fairfield 36-hole golf course, and a 3 minute drive from the recreation Center/pool.

Without the usual expense/hustle of comparable accommodations, come and stay at our easily affordable, accessible and peaceful dream getaway. We just love the hammock and hammock chair hanging off the Ponderosas in the shaded backyard for lounging, bird/deer watching (yes, several deer visit our backyard throughout the day in spring/fall!), just relaxing or reading. Since our home is surrounded on both sides by four vacant lots, privacy is assured; and though the home offers all the advantages of the Pines subdivision (e.g. pool/rec center/shopping/restaurants/coffee shops/Tennis/mini-gulf/lakes/hiking etc), it feels like being in the woods....the deer sure love it.

SOME NOTES AND REQUIREMENTS:
Main renter must be at least 25 years of age. There is a three night minimum stay.

Rates: Regular rate: $105/night or $640/week
High Season: $140/night or $840/week

*HIGH SEASON: Jan 1 to March 30, Jul 1 to Sep 30, Nov 16 to Dec 31
Holiday weeks (4th July/Labor Day/Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Years') please add $100.
Housekeeping fee: $75 to $150 depending on number of guests
Please add 8.8% lodging tax.
Additional $75 pet visit/cleaning fee. A refundable $200.00 pet damage deposit is required 14 days prior to arrival.

We love the outdoors and Pagosa Springs has wonderful year-round adventure opportunities. Peace and quiet are often interrupted by the wind chimes hanging off the Ponderosas. Humming birds come to visit whenever we fill their feeders.....Occasional deer graze amongst the ponderosas and the pure mountain air is wonderful as one just relaxes in the rock-strewn yard (the kids were so excited to find some fossilized rocks!), each visit brings new wonders!

Jim was raised not far from Pagosa Springs, in lovely Santa Fe, New Mexico, and hiked the Weminuche as a kid. His spouse is an East Coast transplant from Conn., who fell in love with Pagosa over a decade ago. Our home in the Pines of Pagosa is our dream-come-true get-away from the bustle and noise of city life: where our children can watch Humming-birds feeding and where deer come visit "them" in their own backyard; a niche where they can experience great fishing (our daughter holds a record of 10 fish at one fishing sitting) not far from the house. In essence, a place where wonderful memories are being made to last a lifetime..............

    • My son and I visited this home with another family -- there was a total of 7 of us. We love this house. It is very tastefully decorated with just the right personal touches and it is immaculate. It is close to the hot springs but still snuggled away in the mountains so you really feel like you're getting treated to a luxurious mountain retreat. We were never bored during our stay. We went boating, fishing, to the hot springs, the nearby rec center with pool, shopping. But the best part was just sitting on the ample outdoor resting areas to watch the kids play or watch the sunset over the mountains. The pictures do not do justice to how magical this home is. I feel blessed to have been able to stay here and would definitely stay again.

    • It goes without saying that Pagosa Springs is a terrific spot for all levels of hiking and mountain climbing (and other outdoor activities.) The cleanliness, amenities, spaciousness and central location of "Pagosa in the Pines" was the icing on the cake during this year's annual adventure to Colorado.

    • This was our second time to Pagosa Springs and the first time to this home. We had a wonderful time once again in PS and the kids are already asking to go back again next year. The home is spacious, comfortable, clean and comes with all the amenities needed.It is very conveniently located and although it is in a "neighborhood" there is enough space around you to feel like you're in the middle of the woods. The assortment of CDs, DVDs, and games kept us all up into night! There are lots of outdoor activities to do in Pagosa Springs!

    • We had a memorable time in the days we spent here. The accommodations were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen, living, and bedroom areas are just the right balance of openness and privacy. The town of Pagosa Springs, and surrounding areas, are filled with entertainment and athletic opportunities for everyone. The Pagosa hot springs are an enjoyable and healthy way to spend an afternoon, evening - or the whole day - in any season. But there were times when we wanted to snuggle down in the comfort of this home. The large repertoire of free DVD entertainment on the large HDTV pleased all members of the family.

    • HI I JUST STAYED IN THIS WONDERFUL HOME FOR THE WEEK AFTER JULY 4, 2009 AND I FOUND IT TO BE SUPERB. IT WAS THE PERFECT SIZE FOR MY FAMILY OF FOUR AND MY SISTER AND HER 2 KIDS. IT WAS IN A PERFECT LOCATION WITH BEAUTIFUL VIEWS OF MOUNTAINS, LAKES, AND THE GOLF COURSE IN THE BEAUTIFUL FAIRFIELD AREA. LOTS OF SPACE FOR KIDS TO PLAY INSIDE, A LITTLE BIT DANGEROUS OUTSIDE BUT OK WITH GOOD SUPERVISION. EVERYTHING INSIDE WAS 5 STAR ONLY DRAWBACK WAS NO TV BUT WHO NEEDS THAT ANYWAYS WHEN YOU ARE IN SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PLACE, AND WHEN WE WANTED THERE WAS PLENTY OF MOVIES AND PLACES TO RENT MOVIES TO WATCH. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AS STATE OF THE ART ACCOMODATIONS. THANKS FOR A WONDEFUL PLACE TO STAY AND HOPE TO RETURN SOMEDAY.
